Chapter 15: Chapter 14: Lectures
After Fang Liu helped them understand the cultivation techniques they picked out the best he could he left them to their own devices. Jasmine went back into hers and Tracy's room while Tracy was trying to convince Fang Liu to help her with body cultivation. Jasmine just tossed the two cultivation manuals to the side but as soon as she did that it annoyed her so she picked them up and neatly placed them on a shelf in the room. Going through her memories Jasmine found the three cultivation techniques she used in her past life, in fact she didn't even need to go through her memories to know how to cultivate them.
The first one she was going to cultivate was called "Death's Icey Hell" it was a qi cultivation technique, using the death energy in the area she would circulate it through her meridians, creating a death and ice qi mix that perfectly combines into one at the foundation establishment stage. As for the body cultivation technique it was called "Death's Icey Body" by spreading the death energy through her whole body it would refine it causing immense pain, unlike Tracy's where you would only feel the pain at the end of each cultivation session. As for the soul cultivation technique she would use it was called "Death's Merciless Soul" and it used the same principles as the last except with a minor difference, it would spread the energy through out the entire body, than it would expel it while keeping the most pure death energy to nourish the soul and strengthen it.
She started to circulate "Death's Icey Hell" and felt where all of the death energy was coming from here, it came from inside the mountain and under the ground. 'There was probably a very high level and very big battle here, before this mountain even formed most likely' Jasmine thought to herself while feeling where the death energy was coming from. In Fang Liu's explanation for breaking through to the low stage of qi condensation stage he mentioned that you would sense itchiness coming from your meridians when you are gathering qi for the first time. Of course Jasmine already knew this and even felt like correcting him slightly, because just relying on the itchiness in your meridians would take too long to actually step onto the path of cultivation. First you'd have to be able to sense the qi in the air, plus if you could feel the qi in the air you'd have a much more solid foundation than others making you more powerful at the same realm. A powerful foundation is key to keep advancing on the path of cultivation, if a fourth stage cultivator only used pills and rapidly broke through without understanding the realm enough, stabilized their foundation, and didn't improve upon it they could be killed by a qi condensation cultivator.
The one problem Jasmine had with her cultivation techniques was the name, unfortunately she didn't name them she was born with them imprinted into her soul. Sense Jasmine could already sense the qi in the air she didn't have to worry about her foundation being weak and unstable when breaking through the qi condensation realm. "Fuck!"Jasmine suddenly cursed because when she was circulating her cultivation technique she felt that the death god bloodline she absorbed was only at peak mortal grade! "It couldn't have been at least an earth grade?" sighing dejectedly Jasmine continued circulating 'Deat's Icey Hell', after circling for a while Jasmine felt an itch coming from her meridians and stopped saying "At this rate it should take me a week to step into the low stage qi condensation stage." Jasmine picked up the blood weapon arts she got at the treasure pavilion and screamed "Fucking Hell!" This time she screamed so loud Tracy stopped trying to persuade Fang Liu from helping her cultivate her body cultivation technique and came to see Jasmine looking like she was about to cry lying down on the bed.
Fang Liu also came to see and seeing Jasmine like this he asked "What happened?" "Stupid Elder Sun only gave me the descriptions of the weapon arts I chose, and it's such a long walk I don't want to go back!" Jasmine said this whining for the first time in this life. "Pff, it's okay we'll just go get them from the treasure pavilion" Fang Liu said holding in his laughter from seeing her like this, Jasmine just nodded her head and got up off the bed. On their way Jasmine borrowed some more goods from the food stands that were around hiding them in her clothes for later. When they got back to the treasure pavilion Elder Sun asked "What are you three back for?" "You only gave me the descriptions of the weapon arts I wanted!" Jasmine said agrevied she honestly wouldn't have complained if the walk there and back didn't take two hours, in her opinion the only good thing about the walk here and back was that she could get some good food.
"Okay no need to cry I'll get the full thing for you this time" Elder Sun said looking at Jasmine who seemed like she was about to cry. Five minutes later Elder Sun came back and handed her the full thing, this time Jasmine looked through it before leaving to make sure that it was the full thing and when she saw that it was she bloomed with a smile that lit up the room. "Thank you" Fang Liu said dragging Jasmine out if the treasure pavilion on the way back Jasmine pulled out some of the food she 'borrowed' causing Fang Liu to scold her. The reason Jasmine was upset was not that she didn't get the full manual the first time but because she made a stupid mistake of not checking them first.
Getting back to Fang Liu's place Jasmine and Tracy went to find Julia so she could draw them a bath. When they got to their room Tracy said "Can you help me with my body cultivation technique? After all that Young Master Fang Liu of ours won't." "Sure" Jasmine said walking into the closet to get a few towels and some clothes for herself while Tracy did the same after asking Jasmine. After around 15 - 20 minutes Julia came in to tell them that their bath was ready, Tracy unable to help herself asked "Are you a cultivator Julia?" "Yes, I'm at the middle stage of qi condensation, for body cultivation I'm not even at low level copper stage" after saying this Julia sighed. After 45 minutes Jasmine and Tracy were back in their room laying down on the bed, Jasmine once again gave Tracy the cold shoulder because she made fun of her again.
The next morning Julia knocked on their door waking both of the girls up, Jasmine opened the door for her sense they locked it last night and asked "Does Young Master need something?" "Yes, he told me to come wake you up because he's bringing you to the lectures today, they start in an hour." When Jasmine heard they were going to the lectures she got a bit depressed but still went and got dressed putting on black stockings, and black lingerie, Tracy on the other hand decided to just put on some white panties before putting on the sect uniform.
"Sense you're dressed let's get the Young Master" Julia didn't wait for them to respond and walked to Fang Liu's room making them follow her. When they opened the door the girls were a bit disappointed that Fang Liu was already dressed "You're ready that's good, let's go" Fang Liu didn't even bother to wait for their response and just dragged the two of them out of the building. It took 30 minutes to get to the lecture hall, leaving about 25 minutes untill it started, Jasmine, Tracy, and Fang Liu found their seats right next to each other with Jasmine in the middle, Fang Liu on the left of her, and Tracy on the right.
When they sat down a girl approached Jasmine saying "What is a no personality slut doing next to Young Master Fang Liu?" "I may be a no personality slut but at least I have these" Jasmine replied pointing at both of their chests, looking at the girls chest it was just as flat as Tracy's. "Well at least I'm not a no good no talent bitch!" raged the girl, Jasmine response was the same as before just pointing at both of their chests, "I may be flat chested but at least I still have both of my parents!" when the girl said this Jasmine didn't say anything but there was a loud sound of flesh against flesh, Jasmine slapped her across the face leaving a small red hand print, getting in four more slaps before Fang Liu stopped her. "You crazy bitch!" the girl yelled grabbing the other people in the lecture halls attention, Jasmine didn't reply to her with words but spat on her face. "Okay that's enough!" yelled Fang Liu stopping the other girl from punching Jasmine, "You got lucky this time, I'll kill you if I see you alone!" The girl said walking back to her seat. "Who was that girl?" Tracy asked looking at Fang Liu "I have no idea" Fang Liu told her shaking his head. Jasmine sat back down and stayed in silence for the next 20 minutes untill the Elder came in to teach them.
"I'm Elder Justin, I'll be teaching you about cultivation, and the different rank of talents and special physiques today. Let's start off with the talent rankings, their pretty self explanatory, the different talents go from red to black, but the main thing is that black talents might not necessarily have a special physique, but all special physiques are a black grade talent, that's it for that because that's all their is to it. Now let's move on to cultivation, their are plenty of paths you can take for cultivation, I'll mention some of the most common ones, alchemists, blacksmiths, and attack cultivators. Alchemists are the most respected type of cultivator, they make pills and other medicines to help heal and cultivate faster, but although it's a common path people take not everyone can actually do it even if they study their whole lives to because it requires a powerful soul, and even more so the knowledge of plants, beasts, and how to fuse them to make a proper pill, I can't explain much about alchemy because I've never tried it before so I've told you all that I know about it, I hope it was easy to understand what I said. Next we'll go with blacksmiths, they are also a very respected type of cultivator, they make all of the weapons we use for battle. It has about the same requirements as alchemists but less so on the powerful soul and more so on knowledge of how to make alloys of different metals and bones from beasts. Next is the most commonly walked cultivation path, the attack path. The attack path is all about battle, killing and advancing. Let's use sword cultivators as an example, they use their swords to cut through mountains, seas, and the very heavens. How they do so is with their qi and body, although body cultivation is very painful it might just be the most important part to cultivate. If your bodys not strong enough even if just by using your qi could cut apart mountains it'll also kill you just by using it. There have been plenty of examples of this, it has even happened in the sext before, an elder only cultivated their qi and not their body so when they used their qi it caused a backlash destroying their body from the inside and out."
