Chapter 9: Part 8
Today Ichibe was excited. It was finally time for him to create an Asauchi. That was something he had waited for since he woke up in this world.
He knew how the Asauchi were made. In a nutshell, they were souls that were pressed together with some sort of technique and then manufactured into a sword.
Those souls were neutral and would be able to become anything. That was what they were explained in one sentence.
And guess who had collected lots of souls already? He was going to use those souls that had been cleansed by now and make an Asauchi out of them.
For that, he was going to need a strong heat source. He had that as he could create a portal to the sun if he wanted to. And he also had the perfect space to forge his Asauchi.
The Mirror dimension.
There it would not matter if the surroundings got destroyed by the heat.
Ichibe had already explained his plan to the Ancient One and while she did not fully understand what he wanted, she was interested in the process and agreed to allow him to do it.
So Ichibe prepared all the things he needed for this. He was not a weaponsmith so this was going to take a while.
Ichibe entered the mirror dimension. He got all his equipment ready and then opened a portal to the sun.
He took out thousands of souls he had collected over the years. He expanded his influence in China and the whole of Asia in these years. The Gotei 13 were coming along nicely.
So he took these souls and under the heat of about 100'000°C, they were beginning to melt. He sent the portal deeper into the sun to get higher temperatures.
When it got about 1 million degrees Celsius, the souls were fully melted and Ichibe could work with them.
What he did was first burn away all of the impurities that could still be present. All the emotions, memories and characters that made the souls who and what they were, were burnt away.
He needed the souls to be a blank page. Something he could write on and imprint his 'soul' or his 'being' on.
This Zanpakuto was going to be special anyway.
He was not the usual Shinigami. He probably didn't need a Zanpakuto anymore anyway. But he had the feeling that for his development it was going to be important.
As soon as the impurities were burnt away, Ichibe went to the next step. And that was to fuse the souls and create an amalgamation. Normally this is not something that you wanted to do.
Each soul is special and individual. There are no identical even among clones or identical twins. There might be similarities but they were in no way identical.
So you could not mix them and that was also the reason why those that use absorption powers normally only absorb the physical body and not the soul.
Should the soul be absorbed, this could lead to very ugly consequences. As those cases would no longer have one soul but multiple and that could rip a person apart. Those souls can not be fused unless they are not blank and removed from what makes them special.
So Ichibe fused the souls into one bigger one that slowly began to take shape of a humanoid being. Soon a humanoid being of big stature stood before Ichibe.
When Ichibe looked at it, it knelt before him.
Ichibe was very happy. The first step was a success. So he went on to the next one.
Again, he took the humanoid and increased the heat once more. All 15 million degrees were necessary to forge his Zanpakuto. It was an unbelievably hard and tedious task.
But he managed to get it done after hours of forging.
He was very pleased with himself he had to admit. When he felt that it was time, Ichibe opened hundreds of portals to the bottom of the Marian trench and let in the cool water that had unbelievable pressure.
Ichibe grabbed the blade from within the heat of the sun, he closed the portal to the sun and let all the high pressured water cool it down.
A lot of steam rose from his Zanpakuto. Ichibe did not care and grabbed it with his bare hands.
With one motion, Ichibe took the Zanpakuto out of the mould. At that moment all the water evaporated before more could enter the portals again.
Ichibe held his Zanpakuto above his head. He had a big smile on his face once again.
Finally. After 10 years of training his powers and studying magic, he has succeeded in creating his Zanpakuto.
He was happy that a new chapter in his life started now.

Cedric_7512 I wanted to post this today as well. It's a bit of a hard chapter to write. I wasn't sure how to have Ichibe create his Zanpakuto, but I think if you are a bit forgiving of the author's lack of knowledge you can give it a pass.
