Chapter 8: sorting
before leading us to a massive set of doors then continued
"the banquet will start shortly but before you take your seats in the great hall you will be sorted into the houses of which i am sure you are aware there are four, gryffindor, hufflepuff, ravenclaw, slytherin, you will be sorted into the house which suits your personality most , the sorting ceremony is important because the house you will be sorted in will become your family during your seven year tenure here at hogwarts, each house has it's own qualities and noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards while at hogwarts your triumphs earn you house points your rule breaking loses points at the end of the year those points will be tallied and the house with the most points will be awarded the house cup, a great honor" mcgonagall's speech ended at that she paused for a few moments then the doors which she stood in front of opened to reveal the great hall
as we entered the grate hall we noticed the ceiling and it was safe to say i was impressed
"beautiful" satsuki said right next to me i smiled as i couldn't help but agree then we heard the sorting hat begin it's song
For centuries and ages back
As far as I remember
I'm brought out on a stool each year
The first night of September
The first years put me on their head
I say where they belong

after that the sorting began several witches and wizards were sorted into the four different houses before a name was called that got everyone excited for different reasons
"tepes, rosalyn" was announced by professor mcgonagall and we all began to whisper
"we will need to make ourselves known to her" satsuki whispered to me
"i know the alliance between the gotei 13 and the vampires have been going incredibly well we could make things even better by taking care of the princess while she learns at hogwarts" i said
"SLYTHERIN" was announced much to the surprise of no one but the problem was the slytherins were not very welcoming and i saw her face she put on a cold hardened expression and appeared to ignore them but i also knew rosalyn from her father she is a very sensitive girl and this will hurt her significantly
more names were called
"ise, satsuki" satsuki was called and she sat their for quite some time before
"SLYTHERIN" was announced i knew what happened immediately she begged the hat to keep me and her in the same house i sighed that was just like her
even more names were called
"rosencroft, alexander" was called and i went up there but i refused to put that dirty old hat on i drew my wand
"scourgify" i whispered as the hat was cleaned then i allowed it to be placed on my head
"ah thank you for cleaning me" he said
"i just didn't want something so dirty touching my head" i said
"how rude of you" he said as he scoured my mind
"hm quite cunning as you were able to use words to get even the kenpachi to follow you but also recklessly brave as you prefer that sword over your wand smart able to take over a noble family of your class only at age four, but loyal to a fault you would never allow anyone to touch those dear to you you'd rather die" the hat said
"you know where i was going the moment you touched my friends head stop beating around the bush" i said
"hmph not very fun are you very well, SLYTHERIN" the hat announced the hat was lifted off my head and i went to take my seat satsuki rose from hers and followed me to sit with the princess
