Chapter 2: Double Trouble
As Lin Jun and Xuan Long were walking out, Xuan Long bumped into a man. The man fell down as he looked very weak. Like he hadn't eaten or slept in days. The man quickly got back up and bowed his head before going into the company's doors. Lin Jun thought that the man looked panicked, but didn't think too much into it. As he continued walking to parking lot he noticed that Xuan Long wasn't beside him. Thinking to himself that Xuan Long ditched, Lin Jun looked around to try to find him. After looking around for a few seconds, Lin Jun eyes fell onto a man who was standing still. Noticing the baggy clothes he immediately knew it was Xuan Long.
"Little Brother Long, why are you still standing here? Did something happen?" Lin Jun was worried as Xuan Long didn't answer him.
Slowly Xuan Long raised his left arm and pointed at the company's doors. Lin Jun was confused by his action. Why did he point at the doors? Lin Jun confusingly asked, "Can you please tell why you are pointing at the doors?" Xuan Long looked at him and again pointed at the doors to indicate something was wrong. Lin Jun looked at him with a confusing look, saying that he doesn't know what he is trying to say.
Xuan Long rolled his eyes and then pointed at Lin Jun's waist, more specifically at his gun. When Lin Jun looked at his waist, something clicked in his head. The man who Xuan Long bumped into looked panicked this was because he was carrying a gun. Earlier Xuan Long had felt the shape of the as he and the man bumped into each other. Then suddenly both of the heard multiple screams coming from inside. Lin Jun immediately ran into towards the building as he knew what the man's intention was. Upon running into the building a horrible scene unfolded in front of his eyes.
The man was holding a woman, who looked like she was in her early twenties. She was crying and begging the man as he was pointing the gun to her head. The onlookers couldn't do anything as they didn't want the man to kill the poor girl, also because they didn't want to die. Lin Jun spared no time as he pulled out his own gun and pointed it at the man. "Let the girl go and drop the gun!" Lin Jun shouted at the man.
"NO!" the man still had his gun pointed to her head.
"What do you want?!" Lin Jun tried to stall for the guards or police to show up.
"I WANT THIS COMPANY TO BURN TO THE GROUND!" the man's hand was shaking as he was clearly scared too.
"Just let the girl go and we can talk this out" Lin Jun tried to reason with this man.
"No, I won't let her go. I know this is a trap and you're stalling for the police!" the man knew what Lin Jun was trying to do.
The man then pointed the gun at the ground and shot. "Put your gun on the ground and kick it away. Then put your hands in the air or I'll kill her!" the man threatened Lin Jun.
Lin Jun say the fear and determination in the man's eyes. After a few seconds he reluctantly did what the man had asked him. "Ok, there I did what you asked. Now let her go!" Lin Jun only wanted to save the girl. "No, not until the CEO comes down from the office!" the man stilled held her hostage.
Lin Jun slowly walked toward the man, "Look, just let the girl go and I'll call the CEO down."
"Don't come any closer or else I'll blow her brains out!" the man was panicking as Lin Jun was walking closer to him. Just then, Lin Jun noticed a shadow near a pillar not far behind the man. It was Xuan Long! 'How in the hell did he get there? why didn't anyone notice him? when did he even enter the building?' Lin Jun thought all this while still walking toward the man.
Earlier when Lin Jun had ran into the building, Xuan Long went from another entrance. This entrance was only known to three people. Those three people were Lin Jun, the CEO, and the CEO's assistant. This entrance was behind the building in plain sight but hidden at the same time. How Xuan Long knew about this entrance was unknown at the moment. At the moment, they had to deal with this situation first before the girl or anyone else gets hurt. As Lin Jun was slowly walking toward the man, Xuan Long was doing the same. Making little to no sound at all, like he had no presence emitting from his body.
Now that Lin Jun was only a few feet away from the man he stopped and slowly kneeled on the ground with his hands still up. The man was a little confused from his actions and for a second let his guard down. Just then out of the shadows Xuan Long swiftly grabbed the hand in which the gun was being held. At the same time Lin Jun grabbed the girl and brought her to his side. Xuan Long dislocated the man's shoulder. The man screamed in pain as he fell to the ground. He put one knee on the man's back and grabbed Lin Jun's gun and pointed it at his head. Indicating that he will shot him if he moves even an inch. Lin Jun quickly grabbed the man's gun and also did the same.
