Chapter 30: Raiden

"So you're saying your teacher can help us?" Evelyn asks.

"Yes, so let's not waste time and meet up with him immediately," Devin says to her, urging her to hurry up.

"Okay, then where is your teacher?" After a thought, Evelyn asks. She would rather give the items she has to those guys to save Lisa, but she also knows that even if she gives them the item, those guys might still not let Lisa free.

"At the park near the academy," Devin says.

"That's a bit far away," Evelyn frowns, thinking for a while. Her eyes light up, "Yes, I can ride that."

She says and then walks to the wardrobe. She rips her dress with energy, leaving only her undergarments, exposing her white back and shoulder to Devin.

She opens the wardrobe and takes out black leggings and a top. She wears the top and leggings while her back is exposed to Devin. But Devin doesn't stare much, as he is lost in thought about what his aunt is doing.

Why is she changing her clothes? Devin thinks.

He gets his answer very quickly when Evelyn wears the clothes. She turns and walks to Devin and grabs his arms, "Don't shout, okay?"

She says, and without giving any time to reply, she picks up Devin and jumps out of the window.

She lands gently and puts Devin down with care, making a quick scan for injuries on Devin. Seeing that he is okay, she walks to a sports bike that is parked there.

She gets on the bike and gestures to Devin to sit up. "Get on, and wear this."

She puts a helmet on Devin's head and then looks for a helmet for herself, but she doesn't find one. She shrugs and grabs Devin's hand, wrapping it around her waist. "Hold me tightly, don't let your hand go, no matter what, okay?"

"Okay," Devin says absentmindedly. Things are going too fast for his mind to catch up, and when Evelyn gives full acceleration, the bike moves so fast that Devin closes his eyes, hoping they won't get into an accident before saving Lisa.

---

Raiden is sitting on the bench, smoking a cigarette, thinking about his student Elmer.

"Hm... With Elmer's sword talent, he isn't fit to inherit my real techniques, but he has the potential to learn my sword technique..." He thinks about every student he has and then becomes disappointed, "No one is capable of learning... But Devin..."

"I can't see through him. Training other students is easy; I know what they lack and what they need to get strong, but for Devin... I can't see through him, which makes it difficult for me to plan his training," Raiden says in a frustrated tone.

He doesn't like when he's stuck or doesn't know what to do. He's been thinking about this whole week, but he doesn't know what training path will be best for Devin.

"I have to test him personally to know what he's good at and what not," Raiden sighs as he says.

Raiden can't understand why he can't see through Devin. For others, just one look is enough for him to deduce what type of training that person needs, but for Devin, he doesn't know, which is frustrating. The only way to train Devin is to personally check up on him for some weeks before giving him a proper training path.

Raiden doesn't like this, not because he has to take out his personal time to check on Devin. He doesn't like this because he has a training plan for others, and if they follow that plan, then other students will leave Devin far behind, which is not good.

As a teacher, Raiden wants all his students to be equal, and he wants all of his students to work together. But if Devin and the other students create a gap in strength, the other students aren't going to stop so Devin can catch up with them. Soon, the other students will leave Devin behind.

As Raiden is thinking all of this, he hears a bike coming towards him and sees the casino owner and Devin.

At this time, Raiden sees through the casino owner; he instantly knows what type of fighter the casino owner is and what type of attacks she knows and can perform. But for Devin, it's different.

He can only see a black fog around him, stopping him from scanning Devin. Not only is it stopping him, but if he tries to forcefully check on Devin, the black fog attacks him.

When he first meets Devin, he is surprised by this black fog, and this is also the reason why he makes the decision to put Devin in the S Class. This black fog intrigues him; he wants to learn more about it and wants to know why Devin has this and for what purpose.

Of course, although he wants to know about this black fog, and it's also the reason why he puts Devin in the S Class, it doesn't mean he doesn't see him as a student. He sees him as a student first and will do everything to train him to become the world's second-strongest human.

The first is himself, so Devin can only be second. Not only that, but he's going to train every S Class student with the intention of making them the world's second strongest. Who will reach the position of the world's second strongest is up to them.

"Teacher, Lisa has been kidnapped."

Raiden, who is thinking about things, hears Devin's voice, and he disappears from the place where he is.

"Where did he go?" Evelyn asks as she stops the bike.

"Probably already on his way to save Lisa. You know he's the strongest; he might be back in just a few seconds," Devin says.

"Hope so," Evelyn says.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
_Er _Er

Hey...

I wish I had learned art or had money because I want to show the art of Evelyn riding a bike. Well, in the future, when I have money, I will definitely show many arts of Evelyn with different poses.
