The Oblivion Dragons’ Sorrow

"Mother!!!" she screamed as she watched her mother about to burn.
"Run, child" replied Ruan Fei as she closed her eyes one final time and allowed Lord Time and Duchess Death to take her.
She had given up her soul in the midst of the flames licking her flesh to the two revered gods of her tribe in exchange for more time for her daughter to escape. Now all that was left was her hope filled eyes hoping that her beloved daughter would find her family for the truth in the midst of the chaos and hide among the snow's loving hypocrisy for as long as they're around.

Ruan Muchou only wanted a house that felt like home, a loving and caring little family, and a slightly longer period of carefree innocence. That was all and yet, was it all too much to ask for? It seemed as if the gods thought her a blasphemous idiot and cursed her. If it wasn't enough, her body has developed strange markings and she’s beginning to hear a voice. Someone or something else who used to belong in the world. An olden world. Grandparents who the siblings never knew, bring knowledge of a world outside what's known and legends long forgotten that might have something to do with the strange markings that have appeared on her after that horrid night in the snow.
