At a spot near the Vathrian castle where construction hasn't begun yet, a young man with glasses could be seen sitting under a tree while drawing on the book he placed on his thigh. It could be seen that the book contained sketches of clothing and pertained drawings of fashion. He seemed content and happy while he magnificently moved his pencil around the canvas of his book. He was currently drawing some sort of men's clothing.
A group of young knights was in the middle of a patrol when they passed by the tree and noticed the young man sitting under it.
"It's that kid again. He's been sitting here every day...Not even working." A knight said to his colleagues.
"I know that guy. His name is Morgan. Used to be the son of a famous fashion designer back in Dathria." Another knight replied.
The third knight called out "Hey! Morgan was it? Enlist yourself at the army or the construction force! We have no need for a fashion designer at this time!"
Morgan did not look up from his sketchbook and continued drawing. Seeing this, the knight who called him out got angry. "That little shit..." The knight muttered and started to walk to the kid.
"Hey! He's just a kid, let him be." A knight tried to stop the approaching knight.
"He is of age to work. We can't have any inefficient factor of production not being used right now." The knight turned back to reply and walked ahead towards the tree again. The knight arrived in front of the sitting Morgan.
"Did you not hear me? Get to work and not waste our food!" The knight said sternly.
Morgan looked up at the knight and made a confused face.
"I said your expertise is unfortunately not needed at the moment. Get to work!" The knight said again.
Morgan just looked up to the man blankly. He then looked down again and continued sketching.
"This little..." The knight was now really angry. He kicked the sketchbook away from Morgan's hand. Morgan was surprised and jolted up; he looked at the knight with a combination of sadness and anger.
Another knight then grabbed the angry knight's shoulder to stop him. "I just remember now! The fashion designer's son was deaf. This kid is deaf! C'mon. We don't have time for this—" When the knight was saying that, another group of knight arrived on the scene. This new group of knights was different as they were wearing black armors with pulsing lights. The patrolling knights were only wearing standard silver armors.
"Attention!" The three patrolling knights did a salute at the sight of the royal knights.
"At ease. What is happening here?" One of the royal knights asked.
"I apologize. It was my fault. I was reprimanding this kid for not working." The previously angry knight answered.
"King Adrian has summoned Morgan Randolph to the castle for a special task. Men, escort him to the castle." The royal knight ordered his men and they started to escort Morgan out of the scene. Morgan picked up his notebook and took a glance at the previously angry knight. He did not seem angry as he could figure out what was going on.
After they left, the royal knight was about to leave as well.
"You three, give me your ID numbers. I'll have your superiors know you're slacking off on patrol. Don't ever do that again, understand?" The royal knight reprimanded.
"Yes, sir! We apologize!" The three knights did a salute again and the royal knight left the scene.
"This is all your fault." A knight said to the knight who made a scene.
The previously angry knight just drooped down in regret.

Morgan Randolph was now in front of the King's study room. Unlike before, he was now dressed up by the castle's maids in formal clothing. He looked down to see his clothing in dissatisfaction as he was not fond of the design. His formal clothing coupled with his glasses were reminiscent of a librarian.
Two butlers then opened the big door of the study room open to reveal that the King was already sitting at his desk. Morgan then entered the room and did a salute. The King pointed to a seat in front of him to motioned Morgan to sit down and he sat down.
There was an awkward silence as Morgan was deaf and could not speak and King Adrian was just studying Morgan. Suddenly, King Adrian did something unexpected to Morgan.
"Coming here/you/thank you for/" The King did not speak but instead engaged in Vathrian's sign language with its unique grammar structure.
Morgan was surprised. In fact, he was deeply touched that the King himself was capable of conversing with him in sign language. Throughout his life, only his parents, siblings, and teachers were capable of sign language. Naturally, this meant that he couldn't communicate with other children which led to a very lonely childhood and teenagehood.
"Very honored/me/being here/come here/ what for/" Morgan also replied with sign language. He was also smiling, something that happens very rarely.
"Rei Randolph/The son of/you/I know/designer/very famous/my father/designed for" King Adrian mentioned the name of Morgan's mother, who was a fashion designer popular in the capital city.
"Yes/died/capital/she" Morgan's sign language here was a bit sloppy as he was a bit sadden by his mother's death.
"Condolences/from me/but/right now/Important/for/I need you" King Adrian stood up and led Morgan to one corner of his study room.
"I will/certainly/condolences/thank you/" Morgan replied smiling.
They arrived in the designated area where another table was placed. On top of the table, there was a bucket full of odd dark materials.
"Know this/what is," King Adrian said this as a form of a question to Morgan.
Morgan did not reply with sign language but just a head shake right to left.
"Tae/it is called/city roads/material for/elves/introduced by/touch it" King Adrian dipped his hand on the bucket. He motioned Morgan to do the same.
Morgan was hesitating at first but he did so since it was the order of the King. He initially thought that the material would be hard since the king said it was the materials for the new city roads but as it turns out, it was gooey and flexible.
"Sun/under it/dries/however/I believe/flexible permanent/it could be," King Adrian said to Morgan.
"Use for/what is/understand/I don't" Morgan replied with a confused face.
"all conditions/resistant to/cold/heat/any weather" King Adrian responded.
Morgan still had a confused look to his face. King Adrian smiled and continued.
"Clothes/make with this/I want you" King Adrian ordered.
Morgan was surprised to see King Adrian's proposition.
"Not sure/do that/could" Morgan replied.
"Don't worry/right away/I do not expect/research team/mages and manufacturers/assign to you/try your best" King Adrian said to Morgan.
Morgan started thinking in his head. He thought this could be the perfect chance to not only re-establish the Randolph name in this new world but also be the leading fashion designer in Vathria in this new world.
"Do it/I will" Morgan replied.
"Excellent." King Adrian said as he smiled on Morgan's decision. "One more thing." King Adrian opened up his notebook and showed it to Morgan. The notebook contained King Adrian's own sketches for clothing.
"Similar to this/make/I want you," King Adrian said.
Morgan grabbed the notebook and was stupefied as he was examining the drawing. He was amazed at such dignified and classy look the clothing exuded.
"This/what is" Morgan signed extremely fast as he was excited to see such excellent design.
King Adrian knew the word did not exist yet in sign language so he grabbed his notebook again to write something. He then showed it to Morgan.
"I designed this a long time ago. 'Suits' I named them" King Adrian said in writing.
Sorry if the grammar of the sign language is inconsistent but I was just trying to emulate it (not an expert at all).
What happened the last chapter has not reached Vathria yet.
