Chapter 3: ANOTHER WORLD

Young mistress!! Young mistress!!" a voice called out to me. It was then I realized it wasn't a voice I recognised. After minutes of struggling, I finally managed to open my eyes. An unfamiliar face suddenly hits me.

"Aaaaah.." I shouted and suddenly fell down.

"Young mistress!! Young mistress!! Are you okay? Young mistress!!" the unfamiliar face said reaching out for my hand.

I continued to shift back until I hit the wall.

"Who are you? Where am I? What's this place" I say suddenly realizing am wearing odd clothes.

I had always sucked at history. Ancient China was a topic that was too broad and chaotic for me. But it suddenly stuck me. I might, no,no,it couldn't be.

"Young mistress!! Are you okay? What's wrong with you mistress? Don't scare me mistress"

"Who are you? Tell me, what country am I in?"

"China. Mistress, please don't scare me. I will go and call the general" she says turning to leave me.

"No! Just tell me! Who are you?" I said in panic

"Young mistress, am your maid, Ruomei." she said.

" Okay Ruomei, tell me, where am I? What is this place? Why am I here?"

" Young mistress, what are you saying? This is your house. We are in the Han Dynasty. You are THE GREAT GENERAL WU'S daughter. You are the first young mistress of this household."Ruomei said.

"Han Dynasty? General's daughter? Young mistress? Have I really gone back in time just like those movies? Oh no, what do I do?" I say murmuring.

"Young mistress? If you don't hurry and dress up, when the general returns, there will be trouble."

" Forget all that! Tell me everything you know about me and this family" I say in panic.

"Young mistress, why are you acting strangely today? Are you sure you are okay?" she says obviously looking worried

I, too begin to worry. Wanting to calm both her and my racing mind, I sit us down on the bed.

"No need to worry. I just want to ask your opinion. What was I like in the past?"

"Of course. Our young mistress is a valiant solider. Just like General Wu. Your kungfu is the best in the whole of Han. You are even the best in the four arts. Its no wonder His Highness The King has issued a decree for your marriage to the Prince of Han."

"Prince of Han?" I ask panicking when I hear the door open.

"The general is back. Young mistress, please come out to greet him." a maid says.
