Chapter 25: AFTER THE FUNERAL
ANASTASIA
After the funeral, where we all couldn't stop crying, we went back to our mansion. Everyone went into their rooms. No one was hungry. Xavier was very brave. He was the only one who talked to everyone giving their wishes. Dad and Noah were too sad to do so.
Once in the room I asked Xavier to rest for sometime, and he asked me to rest with him. So I slept in his hug.
Xavier had accepted the fact that Gigi was gone, and we couldn't do anything to bring her back.
After few hours I was woken up with sweet pecks on my lips.
"Hmm?"
"Wake up babe, it's dinner time already"
"Already?"
"Yeah" he kissed me on my forehead. Then on my stomach.
I woke up slowly, I hadn't yet started craving weird things as I read in some magazine about pregnancy. And I wasn't gaining weight yet.
We went down to a calm and sad dinning table. No one spoke as we ate. We all missed Gigi's voice booming over the dinning table.
Everyone went back to their rooms as soon as the dinner was over.
XAVIER
I have to keep her happy. I know due to Gigi's death everyone's sad. But she has to be happy. She'll have to be healthy. For the babies. So I decided to talk to everyone next morning.
Till then she'll have to satisfy with my cuddles.
I went to her and order her to sleep with me, which she did.
"I love you, babe"
"Me too. But I love you more"
I chuckled. What a women, she can bring smile on my face even when I've lost the closest person to me.
"So...."
"What, babe?" I asked.
"Well....I haven't told you yet how I got into that accident...."
"You know the person who pushed you" I asked angrily.
"Yeah...I'm telling you this because I think you should know....Not because I want to get revenge on her....promise you won't be very harsh on her"
"What...promis....wait she's a woman?"
"Yeah..."
"Anastasia. Tell me her name"
"No....fist promise me you won't be harsh"
"I can't...her push risked the life of my wife...my kids"
"Then I'm not telling you"
"Anastasia. Why would you not want to punish the one who pushed you?!"
"Because I don't want anyone to think I complained you to get her punished."
"That's nonsense. Now tell me the name"
"....Brittany...she pushed me because she thought I and Leo had something...and she likes him"
"That's her reason to nearly kill someone!!?"
She stayed quiet. Few moments later she broke the silence by kissing me. I kissed her back passionately. And we didn't even know when we fell asleep.
But I did know, that I had to deal with this Brittany. I don't know her, but I sure will, before she loses her job. She has to be punished to hurt my wife over a silly reason.
I didn't forget to pray for Gigi before falling asleep. Neither did I forget to talk to my kids at which Anastasia laughed hard, when I put my ear on her stomach.
