Chapter 21: C1-21
At midnight, almost every everyone inside the city had gone to sleep. Only a few places had light and people stayed awake such as the big mansion at the south end of the City.
Surrounded the mansion were a bunch of Knights in armor, some of them were holding torches and moved around as guards.
Not too far from the mansion, Arthur and Alice were watching every movement around the mansion.
Alice had given him some info after she investigated the mansion with her magic.
There were 23 people inside and outside the mansion right now, 17 of them were Knights while others were servants or workers.
She also warned that she saw a Knight leader staying in the Noble room. He figured out that she was talking about a Knight Mentor.
Facing a Mentor?! He wouldn't back down even there was a God, he had to kill that Noble no matter what.
"Are you ready? After you drink this, your body will improve in seconds but your body will be in a lot of pain" She gave him the bottle.
He just nodded and took the bottle then opened it. The smell was horrible but he drank it down quickly so the smell didn't really bother him.
Like what she said, his body changed dramatically and he soon gained muscles like someone was plumbing air into him.
He also felt pain but he held back his scream because they were close to the mansion so he didn't want the guards to be alerted.
After a few seconds, he stopped as the change was so shocking that even Alice thought that she gave something else but Arthur used to be a skinny guy so the transformation was over the top.
Arthur was now over 1m9 tall, his was buff like he trained in the gym for years and he showed masculinity that even women would stare at him for a long time. Even Alice couldn't resist looking at those abs but then she snapped out of it.
"How do you feel right now?" She asked.
"Like I am a different person" He told her as he checked himself.
He never thought that the strength boost would be this amazing. He felt like he could lift a normal man with one hand and easily punch through walls.
"How long will I stay in this state?"
"...The state is permanent but as I said before, your lifespan will be reduced to 2 years"
"That is enough for me"
After that, she cast a spell onto him as he was ready to go in.
With that done, Arthur rushed to the mansion when she said that the guards were far away and he was so fast that he could outrun a cheetah.
When he reached the wall that separated the mansion and the street, he jumped and went over the 2 meters wall.
"I'm in" He thought in his mind but then another voice came in and it was Alice's voice.
"Good, just go into the mansion through that window"
The spell that she cast, was a long-range telepathy spell that let him communicate with her. She would guide him to the Noble and help him avoid people.
"Open that door...wait, okay go now...there is a servant girl on the left, be careful..."
The whole sneaking to where the Noble was taken at least an hour and a half but it was all worth it.
"The Noble is staying in that room...I see no guard inside"
He also didn't saw any guard at the door which was weird but this was an opportunity for him to finish it quietly so he would take the chance.
"If you see anything suspicious, tell me immediately...I am going for the kill" Arthur then slowly walked to the room.
He then opened the door and saw the Noble sitting on the chair. The Noble was facing on the way so Arthur wasn't spotted by him.
Seeing the chance to kill, Arthur took out his sword as he walked to the Noble.
"This is for Mother" He raised his sword and was about to chop down but then he felt someone behind him.
"ARTHUR, WATCH OUT" Alice warned
Without any hesitation, he swung his sword behind him and successfully blocked an attack but he was pushed back.
The Noble or so he thought, took the chance and held him by the neck. It wasn't the Noble as he saw the strength and the face, it was one of the bodyguards.
"Shit, this is a trap" He thought.
The other guy was also the bodyguard and he was charging at Arthur as soon after he got held.
But would Arthur let them kill him?
He first gripped the bodyguard's hand that held him and the guy screamed because of the pain.
After freeing himself, he threw the guy at the attacker and they felt down. But before he could attack again, he felt another presence.
He went to defense again and he was right, another bodyguard appeared out of nowhere and attacked the left side.
"Where are the bodyguards coming from?"
"...I think they are using Invisible Cloaks, that is the Witch equipment" Alice said through telepathy.
"How the hell they got equipment like that!!!... Okay Alice, I need you to found where the Noble really is"
"But they can turn invisible, how can you fight if you can not see them"
"I can handle that myself"
"...Please be safe"
After he forced the 3rd guard back, the other guards had stood up and they went into the circle formation which surrounded him.
"This is the perfect time to check how strong I am" He breathed in and out as he went in the Knight stance.
The Knight stance was a technique to fight against multiple enemies but it wasn't very popular because it was full of errors. But to Arthur, it was a great technique against those 3 guards.
It was dead silent as he and they looking for an opportunity to fight back. After a while, one guard charged at him so others also followed.
As for Arthur, he didn't move and held his sword firmly. When they were near enough, he acted with an unbelievable speed.
He swung his sword so fast that the attacks were neutralized in 2 seconds and they were forced back.
But they didn't give up and attacked again while Arthur still stood in his stance and defended.
Their swords clashed and created sound across the mansion. No matter how many times they tried to attack him, he could easily just force them back.
"How is this possible? Are we facing a High-rank Knight" They thought in their mind as they kept attacking.
Because of his buff appearance, they didn't remember who he was. As for why he was stronger than them, the answer was simple.
It was his sword skill is so much better than all of them combined. He should be Mid rank Knight thanks to his skill but his physical strength couldn't keep up with his skill so he stayed as low rank.
After 5 failed attempts to kill Arthur, they decided to use the Cloak.
When they used the cloak to cover themselves, they slowly disappeared within seconds.
Arthur could just attack them when they did that but it would expose him to counter attacks.
Arthur could hear footsteps all around him and he knew where they were from but soon he realized that they were circling around him, it was hard to know when they would attack.
Suddenly a sword came out of thin air and attacked him from behind. It was too late to counter back so he dodged it.
The attack left a small wound on his back but he didn't pay attention to it as there was another attack coming.
This time he countered it and tried to attack the guy which failed as he went back to the invisible state before Arthur could harm him.
Without any choice left, he went back to defense and tried to come up with a plan.

For almost 5 minutes, the attacks kept coming and Arthur was getting more injuries but he also improved his reaction and skill so they also got some injuries from him.
"I can not let them circle around me like this, I have to get out" Arthur thought as he had come up with some ideas.
When attacks came, he didn't fight back as he jumped over them and went into the corner of the room.
"Is this guy stupid, why did he go into the corner for?" They thought.
"We will do that formation again" They communicated in low voices as they charged at him.
Soon they noticed something was wrong, they couldn't do formation at all. The corner only let them do only a half of the formation.
"Retreat" One of the guards shouted but it was too late.
Arthur swung his sword as hard as he could and the weapons they held were blown out of their hands.
Losing their swords, they tried to pick back but it was another mistake. When they got the swords back, they already showed themselves to him.
Before they could regroup and fight back, Arthur already charged at them.
With one slash at the neck, a guard had lost his life and that was Arthur's first kill.
Horrified by the sight of their comrade died, the guards gave up the idea to fight back and ran away.
Sadly, Arthur was faster than them and killed them by stabbing one into the heart then chopped down the last guy.
"Hah...hah" He breathed heavily as he dropped his sword and sat down into the floor.
He just kills 3 people but he only felt nothing, not even fear, regret or happy which was weird for him.
But he felt something, not feeling, just...something that he couldn't explain yet.
Looking at himself and the corpses, he knew that his chance against a High rank is pretty high.
"Arthur, I see that you are in bad shape" He heard Alice.
"Yeah...But I can handle it, have you found where the Noble is"
"Yes but we have a problem, the guards from outside have gone back and guard the real Noble with the High-Rank Knight...Are you sure you are up to this? We can always come back"
"...please have hope in me, I just need a little rest then I am good to go"
"...The Noble is on the 2nd floor and he seems to be waiting for you"
"Is he that arrogant? I come to kill him yet the guy doesn't call for help from the city guard...But this is good"
After finished resting, he was back to his feet and prepared for the end.

Should I write shorter chapters and release them in a day.
Or a long chapter and it may took a day or two to finish?
