Chapter 2: The Powerful Hybrid
CHAPTER 2
After sixteen years of training....Jessica finally started school she's an exact copy of her mother.Slim body, skin white as milk with her smooth,long black hair.In short Jessica is a Goddess of beauty.It's her first time at Harvard high School,she and Emily were escorted to the principal's office to proceed with the registration.Jessica was nervous as they were seated in front of a tall grumpy man.
Jessica was too deep in her own thoughts to hear what the principal was saying.Until she was brought back by the man's voice asking."Young lady...are you paying attention."Jessica jolted out of her thoughts and nodded her head as a sign of understanding of what was said."You would be placed under probation until we are satisfied with your work."He said with a smile.
They were told Jessica starts next week and from there both of them went home.Once at home Emily spoke to Jessica for a few hours and warned her not to use her powers in anyway.After endless talks of giving advice and warning signs the two of them went to bed due to exhaustion.
It's Monday morning and Jessica woke up around seven am."Shit!" She cursed."I can't be late for my first day of school."She hurriedly jumped out of bed,took a quick shower,brushed her teeth,fixed her hair and make up before going downstairs to have breakfast that consisted of scramble eggs and tea... forgetting she has food in her mouth she bid Emily goodbye and dashed out the door.
She's already missed the bus which means she'll be late for school... that's when a thought occurred in her mind...what if she used her powers.....
As the thought comes to mind..a mischievous smile crept across her face.She almost knows all the shortcuts leading from the forest into the city,she walked for about a few minutes before she arrived at the forest and changed into her vampire form.Her normal blue eyes turned a slight red while her black hair turned completely red a rich cherry red.
She began running with her high inhumane super speed that made her pass through the forest in a blur,she laughed aloud and enjoyed the wind as it blew through her hair...she felt so carefree and at peace.When she neared her school block she quickly changed back to her human form,and made the short walk to her school making it just in time as the school gates were being closed the second she passed through.
Woah that was a close one she thought as she made her way to class and on cue the bell rang signalling the first class of the day is about to start.The students were all running to get to class because they know how mean Mr Ben Grey is.Jessica was sitting at her desk trying to rephrase and remember all the spell work Emily had taught her the whole week when she saw some girl walk up to her.
"Hi there."She said with a genuine smile."My name is Jennifer Walker.What's your name?"
Jessica returned her smile and answered."I'm Jessica."
"Nice to meet you Jessica."Jennifer extended her hand in greeting which she shook.
"You too."Jessica replied.The two of them chatted for a while until someone shouted from the door...."Mr Grey is coming."They all retreated to their respective seats.
"Nice chatting with you."Jen said before making it to her own seat.
"Good morning class."Mr Grey said when he situated himself behind his desk and faced them."For those of you who don't know me I'm Mr Grey your science teacher."Let's welcome our new student Jessica Stone."Everyone turned Jessica's way and clapped hands for her,she blushed and shied away."Right.Our topic for today is Earth rotation and for this topic we'll be doing some practicals. And for that we'll be dividing the class into three groups.Each group will consist of five people and I'll be choosing the groups through a raffle ballot."
After the ballot draw Jessica was in group A and she's the Leader with Mark Sullivan being her assistant.Mark is really hot and is also known as the school's biggest playboy,he slept with almost half of the girl's in the school.His latest conquest is Kimberly...his girlfriend,she's the most beautiful in the school and the top cheerleader who treats everyone like shit.She's a real mean bitch.
Mark is also a dick and gets away with pretty much everything since his family is filthy rich and his dad is the school's sponsor. Mark had flirted with Jessica last week on her second day of school and unfortunately for him things didn't end so well because she had ended up breaking his arm...he couldn't tell his friends and family that a girl broke his arm.
So he kept it to himself and said he fell down the stairs."Argghh..." She heard him groan."You again.Mr Grey can you please swap me with another team.I don't wanna be on this psycho bitch team."
"Mark mind your language."Mr Grey said sternly."I'm still your teacher and I'm standing right in front of you."
Jessica smirked."What's wrong Mark.Afraid of little old me."
"Hey bitch trust me you don't want to be on the same team as me."
"You bitch!"Kimberly spat."Watch how you talk to my man or you won't know what hit you.You talk back at my man again and I'll make you regret it."
"Ooohh."Jessica mocked."Was that suppose to make me scared." Everyone in the class was shocked and surprised at how bold Jessica has become.
"Alright kids."Mr Grey said,demanding their attention."Class is dismissed,and my presentation should be ready by the end of this month.And Oh before I forget,this marks will determine your year end results.In Jessica's team there will be Mark,Jennifer,Anna and John with Jessica being the fifth member and the team leader."He continued naming the other teams and when that was done he said."We'll be meeting in the school hall after school.Class dismissed.
"Sorry team leader."Mark said as he approached her outside class. "But I won't be attending the meeting."
Jessica smiled sweetly but deviously."Don't worry assistant I'll just remove your name from the list and inform Mr Grey that you are not interested in the Practical presentation."
"What the fuck is wrong with the both of you."John jumped in he is Mark's best friend."Can't we just work on this project together and in an amicable manner."
"Arghh!"Mark groaned frustrated."What time are we meeting at the school hall."
"I'm not sure we'll have to discuss that with the rest of the team members."Jessica told him."After a short but brief discussion they all settle for the time from 5pm to 8pm before they all went their separate ways and headed home....
