Chapter 2: Prologue
Chin-up, Stomach in and stand straight..
That's my position while walking down the hallway of a famous Philippine bound company.
Maybe they were wondering what I am doing in this company. It's only natural that they wonder because a 20 years old woman is here today and surrounded by guards and a lawyer.
We stopped walking as we reached the front of the elevator. While waiting for it to open, I asked my secretary what floor we were going to.
"60th madam" she answered me.
It didn't take long for us to wait for it to open.
I went first to the elevator and they followed me…While in the elevator I was nervous, I am restless and I was wondering what could happen later. I sigh multiple times…My lawyer seemed to notice it so he told me to calm down.
Soon the elevator door opened, warning that we were on the right floor. The guards came out first and I was the ultimate. The recipient seemed surprise by the unexpected visit of ours..
I glance at the furniture around; I would not have realized that we would be here without my lawyer.
I look at the door in front of me.
"CEO" I read it aloud before I could signal my staff to open the door.
We didn't have to knock because it is my office if my stepmother didn't claim it.
People are shocked inside the room because they didn't expect me to be here.
My stepmother was sitting on the swivel chair and my stepsister was next to her.
I looked at the whole room and I saw my uncle sitting at the couch while smiling at me, he was the one who help me to go here.
"What are you doing here?!"My step mother asked angrily.
"Is that how you welcome your stepdaughter?" I asked not paying attention to her question.
"I have no other children than her." she said
"Well I have no other parents than them" I said pertaining to my dead parents.
"What do you want?" she asked me again
I smirked before I answer her..
"I want you to leave" I said while looking at her eyes.
"Are you insane!?" she shouted to me.
"No, Are you?" I asked her back
"You’re insane! You want us to leave our own company?!" she shouted again..
"No, I want you to leave MY COMPANY!" I raised my voice.
"How can you say this is your company if you abandon your own father?" she asked me with full of disgust.
"How can you say it is yours when you killed your own husband?" I asked her back again.
She stays quiet for a moment before questioning me again.
"What do you really want?" she asked
"I told you, I want you to leave my company." I said while roaming inside the room.
"Attorney hand me the papers please?" I asked my lawyer.
He handed me the papers and I gave it them.
My stepmother seemed to be very shocked when she read the statement.
"No! This is not true!! my daughter is the Heir!!" she said with so much confidence while I can see the fear in her eyes.
"Yes it's true…this is a legal document…most powerful to be exact." My lawyer said with finality.
"No!"
"Yes" I interfered
"No!! You were gone for how many years!! She must be the Heir!" she complained.
"I may be gone for years? but now I am back… what will you do?" I asked her with full of power.
"I will claim it back! I tell you I will claim it back!"
"Sorry cause no one can stop me dear mother…even you."
"Ohh really, I tell you…My daughter is marrying Stan, They will be a happy family…what do you think?"
I froze for a moment.
Stan…He's marrying her daughter huh?
I felt bad when I am imagining them getting married. Is he that mad at me? I wonder how is he?
"Are you done stepmother?" I asked her
She didn't answer
"If you’re done then leave. Leave my Office because from now on, I will be the one who's holding the company. I am back, The real Heir is back." I said
"And congratulations for the wedding I Hope you two are doing well" I look at the eyes of my stepmother’s daughter when I look at her.
"I am giving you an hour to leave" I said and then turn my back to them.
I go to the rooftop of the building and there I cried…I cried really hard.
Thank god I finally pass them. I finally get over them.
