Chapter 167: Interested

By the time Drake walked through her office door a few minutes before the lunch break, Joan was already prepared to leave, "The past hours have literally been the longest hours of my life," Drake announced as Joan stood up to leave with him. 

"Really?" She asked with a grin. 

"I guess I'm not as patient as I thought I was," Drake said as he held the door for her to pass through. He noticed the way the secretary was trying to act like she wasn't looking at them but didn't think much of it as they walked past her desk. 

"So, which restaurant did you book the reservation?" Joan asked Drake as they walked out of the building and headed for the parking lot where his car was parked. She noticed he had brought the same car he had driven the previous day and couldn't help but wonder if that was his only car since Patrick had been with different cars on all the occasions she met him. Not like that was a problem anyway. Just an observation.
