Ilona was so excited to return to her ship and get more things for their home that she could barely sleep. Mason was so nervous about taking her across the open expanse of beach to the sinking vessel that he could scarcely sleep either. They both laid in bed, tossing and turning, and waking the other up anytime they managed to fall asleep.
Finally, Mason groaned, running his hands over his face. He got up and dressed, leaving Ilona to do the same as he fetched them water from the pool. When he returned, he found her outside waiting for him.
Together they walked to the beach and caught enough crabs to last them for the day. They returned to the cave where Ilona boiled them as Mason had taught her. After eating their meal and packing away some for later, the couple collected the empty bags and left their cozy little home.
