Chapter 12: Second Months Results : Part two

Shanks Pov: I woke up to the shining rays of the sun that was still in the sky ,which meant it wasn't night yet. I looked around the forest for a moment only for my eyes to end up on Rayleigh.  He was sitting on a boulder with another bottle of wine and sipping it calmly. He seemed to have sensed my awakening as he took a long sip from the bottle before he threw it away. He jumped down from the boulder and approached as I sat up. As he approached , he started speaking, " That fight was impressive.Surviving and keeping up with me when I was using ninety-percent is not something anyone can do. Your increase in strength and speed were the most surprising and the most impressive,especially that speed technique. With that said,let's move on to hand to hand combat since you have rested enough."  I took a moment to process his words before I took my saber and its guard and placed it a couple meters from our fighting position. I took a relaxed stance as I then faced Rayleigh who looked to have done the same thing. We looked at each other before we both appeared in front of each other punching out our fists coated in advance armament haki,Ryou. The punch from our fists canceled each other out before I dodged to the right as he used his free hand to let out an emission blast that I was thankful I dodged. I jumped back before I swung my foot which let out a large wind slash. I swung my foot again,but this time it was coated in armament haki which created a bigger wind slash that quickly arrived in Rayleigh's vicinity along with the first. He coated both of his arms in armament haki and used emission as he stuck his palms out to cancel the wave from both slashes. This briefly reminded  me of how the admirals did the same thing in Marineford. I shook my head to rid of that thought as I dodged by flash stepping to the right from a haki powered Ranyaku from Rayleigh only to be met with another one I blocked by also using emission like he did. It seems like he used observation to see where I would dodge.Not surprising with his combat experience. I dodged another as I jumped in the air and started to kick it.  I sent out some haki powered Rankyakus  from the sky to keep Rayleigh occupied while i charged up both forms of armament haki in my fists for five seconds before i took a stance and used my combined Soru-Geppo variant to increase my speed which increased my momentum as i was falling down. As I was close ,I then shouted " Flowing impact''. Which then released up all the shockwave and momentum built up and combined with both forms of armament haki in one go. A huge shockwave engulfed the ground around Rayleigh as I sky-walked in the sky waiting to see the result. It took a couple of seconds for the effects of the shockwave to lessen up on the island. A huge crater is what greeted me and in my observation haki flared like crazy as I dodged to the right with a Geppo-flash step  just in time to dodge a shockwave from what seemed like a haki powered Rokugan. I had no time to relax as I coated my arms in armament to block a Ryou powered kick from Rayleigh that propelled me from the sky. As I was falling down, my observation haki flared up again as I looked up only to see Rayleigh ready in a stance to perform the Rokugan again. A second later,it happened . As the shockwave was approaching me, I propelled myself back up from falling and dodged it just in time only for my observation to flare again and I listened to it by coating my whole body in armament. That seemed to be the right move as Rayleigh popped up right in front of with his arms covered in armament haki and ready to perform a Rokugan that he performed a second later. The shockwave this time was intense and almost comparable to being hit by a conqueror's coated attack. I was blasted down to the ground in no time. I took a moment to shake off the damage as I looked at my body. I was bleeding a little and my shirt was torn off but I was okay otherwise. It seems like he didn't add Ryou to the attack otherwise the internal damage from that attack would have been devastating for me. Seems like Rayleigh is still serious though as my observation haki flared to life like crazy once again.  I jumped up from my initial position in time to avoid another Rokugan blast that only widened the crater from my harsh impact from his earlier attack. I located his position through observation haki before I speed blitzed above him and launched an extreme Rankuyaku imbued with Ryou for extra damage. He dodged to the right before he launched a compressed air bullet that I dodged only to duck down in time to dodge a kick from him. I coated my foot in both forms of advanced armament haki and kicked him which he blocked with a similar kick. But he was sent back downwards as I put more power in attack. As he was falling downwards, I took the chance to get some payback as I launched my own  haki Rokugan imbued with Ryou and emission for maximum damage. That seemed to have done the trick as he still received damage even when he did a full body coating. I also took this chance and charged up my haki and momentum before i accelerated my full with my Geppo-flash step and as i was closest to where Rayleigh's haki signature  was  i yelled " Flowing impact" as i released the built up and compressed air that turned into a lethal shockwave. The island shook for a couple of seconds from the shockwave. I sensed him dodging it earlier and so I immediately flash stepped to his new position while preparing a haki powered Rokugan that I released the moment I appeared above him. The attack hit him ,but he had already employed full body armament which reduced the damage. I took that moment to catch my breath as although I wasn't that exhausted yet, a little mental rest would do wonders for me as the battle continued. I heard steps after five seconds as Rayleigh emerged from the smoke and debris caused by that last attack. He was grinning as he seemed to be enjoying the battle so far. We eyed each other as a grin of my own emerged from my face as the adrenaline and blood started to pump at full force again . We both vanished the next moment before clashing again as we had done numerous times today. Our clashes shook the island from time to time as shockwaves reverberated through it. There were little to no animals in our fighting vicinity as we fought the entire time. Seems like their survival instincts had kicked in when we started fighting as I stopped sensing them when Rayleigh first blasted me to the f=ground with his armament powered Rokugan. We clashed continuously for twenty hours with little to no rest. During that time,I had broken bones,acquired some new bruises,lost a lot of blood and kept getting new wounds every two minutes. We fought as the sun went down and until it started to come back up again after what I was sure was a restless night for the island and its inhabitants who had to deal with the island shaking every three minutes. I jumped back from another Rokugan attack before i released a Rankuyaku to gain some space. He dodged it before he adjusted himself in the stance to perform the Rokugan for nth time in this fight. I did the same and we attacked at the same time. This time there was no shouts or any yelling or screaming as our Rokugan blasts met and matched each other fr a moment before my observation haki flared up dangerously again as I got a sense of deja vu . I tried to create some space but was too slow and more exhausted than him to. A second later ,my body was assaulted with a lot of pain and knocked again. My last thoughts being " Was that Conquerors haki again ?, No wonder  i feel like shit".
