Chapter 4: Death game: The onset of the carnage

" That was close, I nearly murdered her," I thought while halting Demise Edge, I was born with this ability in my eyes, that's why my father always urged me to look down while chatting to or walking by people.
What is it for or how can I get divest it, I have no idea, Once my bloodied hands stroked her sweaty body, It felt cold and harsh from panic, which gave me a sad and worried expression on my face.
"Hestia are you okay??," I asked, as I tried to warm her with my petrified body, while my eyes hardened on the mug of the man who was combatting her equally.
A man in his prime, but his aura has already extended the limits of refinement, while I was examining him, the girl looked at him with teary eyes and asked him " what is your name gentleman??".
" gentleman?? " I asked and tilted my head a little, she replied that she called him because of his attractive appearance.
" Fell free to name me, Vocnol Posirse...What about you fellows?" The gentleman asked.
" I am Osiris, and she is He...."
" Hestia!! " he interrupted me while I was introducing myself and added while clenching her hands " An attractive woman like you being terrorized by a fanatical boss is truly a tragedy for my eyes and heart". I wanted to pass my sword over his throat so that he would realize the extent of the tragedy that I could fill him with, but what stopped me was the change in the atmosphere around her from merry to cold and murderous, then she answered him while pushing her sword out of its sheath " Whether or not you want to continue on your luxurious journey centred around your grudges and desires, I instruct you to withdraw your sarcastic phrases. I am nothing but a tool found to serve him until it breaks."
When he heard those words, a mixture of a sceptical expression and an envious smile appeared on his face, It's not like I don't understand it, whoever the leader is. He'd want loyal followers like that, but neither of us liked using that word, especially when it came to someone of her level.
" A tool??" I said with a pathetic smile and immediately added "The word tool is intended for pawns. People that have no role but death, Hestia you are an important element of the maze. So stop naming yourself that".
The features of the young man in front of me turned to complete satisfaction as his wondrous body began to take on the shape of a child, then he said "Your relationship has intrigued me, which made me want to learn more about you, her, and the rest of the teammates. So I ask you, sir, to allow me to travel with you until my death"
"So shall we move forward to locate the rest of us? " I responded while stepping out from them.

Where did this deranged come from? Is she a hunting creature, I got Misled by her glamorous character and tall and charming body. Who would have thought that a female as beautiful as her with the white skin which sparkled like diamonds from the daylight would bring everyone down with her Longing to murder?
" Whatever the case is, I have to survive. I need to bring her to the assemblage locale, so we can corner her " I assumed while attempting to sense Venatrix or Inej auras, since they both have motion skills, I presume that a tiny fraction of their aura is leaking out as they walk.
"Hey you, you didn't give me a convincing reply am I powerful sufficiently to earn you as a faithful follower Hiwaga" A soft voice spoke while its owner jogged side by side with me.
When I saw her comfortable gaze I was so irritated.
"Ailred!! was it right??" I exclaimed and I immediately cast my combative posture and yanked my sharp-ended lance from Venatrix mage's ring.
" that's right!!" she countered.
As I straightened my breathing, I noticed a sinister smile on her complexion as if she had earned what she wished for.
At that moment, I didn't really what I was going to experience. My mind was vacant because she undervalued me, causing me to attack her while I used Inej's gesture technique, "tempo walk" I said, then I took a curved shape to sharpen my spear, and in an instant, I vanished and appeared beneath her as I waved my javelin in a hollow orbit in the pattern of a butterfly wing " Spear technique, first posture: Butterfly impact " I muttered as my spear sculpture vanished from the void and reappeared at the side of her neck, which gleamed with white, what made me in a hurry was that I didn't want to expose my skill, I wanted to end all this in three posture as far as possible. But my dull thought was quickly shattered when I saw her relaxed face, despite the blade nearing one of her vital points. What scared me, even more, was the fact that she thwarted a spear weighing no less than 4 kilograms with the air pressure affected by the flick of her central finger, At that instant, everything I had assembled for years had been dedicated, and a waterfall of ideas began pouring into me as I tried hard to clear my mind to start the next sequence of postures.
As I turned back to start my second attack, she pulled her dark blade from its white sheath, which lead me to start the third posture instead.
" Spear technique, 3rd posture: stars corridor" I groaned, as my body formed a shield for my spear I was carrying under my armpits behind my back, I quickly rotated my body in a shapeless air orbit, this created a central air pressure around me that helped me quickly pull my heavy spear and pierce it into her left shoulder.
Thanks to the penetration of my spear into her young body, she looked human as her smile diminished from the pain, but soon a sly smile settled on her face. Then she uttered "Poem of death, the fourth: The blessing."
As someone who had refined his senses to their limits, knowing that what awaited me was certain death, I tried to pull out my spear blade to avoid this killer wave as I discovered the reason for her last smile.
Her shoulder fibres were encircling my spear to keep it from coming out, so I sacrificed it to minimize the injury but my focus was distracted by some auras heading towards us, I knew one of them was familiar but the rest looked dark, I didn't feel anything until her blade finished its attack, which caused an electric shock that I felt it in my bones and then fainted out from the pain.
[ Ailred perspective]
This person looked like a fighter, but now lying on the floor covered in his blood, did he get diverted at the previous instant. He looked like he was about to evade it, then his expression unexpectedly shifted to fear as if he was attempting to alert somebody. Aah and looking at me coated in sweat, I seem to have gotten a little enthusiastic to make one of my sharpest attacks.
As I flipped over his half-dead body with my foot to examine the depth of his wound, I sensed a tremendous physical presence of the three people from my right and a hazy presence from the opposite side. In a moment of omission in my body lying in front of me, the presence of five people around me woke me from all sides, what caught my attention for a moment was the fifth person.
He seemed so cold that I could not feel anything from him, as if he was not there in front of me, while thinking of this stranger, I saw his astonishing red eyes appearing from the broken side of his mask as she contemplated the corpse lying before me.
While he was walking towards me you muttered before asking " you did this to him?? ".
I swallowed my saliva from the tension and I asked him " what if I said yes??"
He raised his right hand towards me and extended it as if he was making a request and said " Join my Crew!! A person without abilities or grace managed to craft someone I carefully chose, you must have been blessed with superior physical abilities and instincts, without asking about your sword arts. Even your presence screams, I was created to be above all.... ". the fact that he could figure out all of this by just looking at me made me speechless.
He kept paying homage to me until the person lying on the ground awoke without wounds as if there had been nothing on him before. He uttered while rubbing his clothes from the dust " guys, you sacred me I only recognised Vinatrex aura...."
While we were arguing about how strong I was and whether I wanted to join, our globes lit up and sounded " the end of the first stage. Each group invaded a corner of the jungle, a total of five groups of six to ten people were established and took over the leadership of each one only one person" and immediately informed " let the carnage begin!! Just one group can survive this and will be assumed the winner"
{ Amid this disarray, every niche of the jungle, western, eastern, northern and southern, is now acquired by partnerships, each alliance being harshly overseen by a revered warrior, but our squad is not finished yet, they are still moving toward each other to assemble.
