Chapter 5: Report to the association
After Frore was done eating, he felt a lot better . As, it's been a while , since he ate proper food . He then stood up from the rock.
While all of this was going on , Blaze was lost in thought. He was trying to recall what the next major plot was.
Frore was supposed to save his own life in this dungeon by learning how to actually use his "Weapon master" skill. He will start to become powerful from this point onwards. But now I have saved his life before he could do that. I guess , i would have to teach him the proper use of his skill.
As if in alignment with his thoughts, the system's notification appeared with a 'ting' .
["Congratulations dear user. You have successfully completed the quest in the given time frame."]
[Please select one of the following life skills as your reward:]
[1: Sewing]
[2: Cooking]
[3: Cleaning]
Blaze unhesitatingly chose the second option and was quite satisfied with his reward.
Then the next notification came .
[Quest 2 : Teach Frore how to properly use his skill.
Time limit : 3 days
Reward : Insight skill (lvl +2)
Failure : --- ]
That's exactly what I wanted to do.
Looking in Frore's direction, he discovered he was done eating.
"Well then , let's go." Blaze said as he knelt down on one knee with his back towards Frore.
As Frore was about to ask what he was doing. Blaze explained, "the capital is too far away from here. If we travel normally by road it will take us days to get there. Get on my back , I will use a skill , we will get there in no time."
Frore understood and although, he was still embarrassed; he quitely got on Blaze's back. Blaze activated "Walking on air" and reached the capital, then his residence without stopping anywhere in between.
He let Frore down, who was feeling a bit dizzy, but was still amazed by the sight of that large , beautiful villa.
Blaze handed him the keys , "you are free to do as you please. Do a house tour , walk in the garden , read books in the study ; whatever it may be. I will go and report to the association about what happened in the dungeon. A lot has happened today , you need to rest your body. You don't have to go anywhere, I will deal with the association".
Blaze walked away in the direction of the association building.
Frore watched him go till he disappeared when he turned around the corner. Blaze was the first person who has ever treated him this way. His adoptive parents didn't care about him , they always gave him their leftovers to eat and took their anger out on him when they were frustrated about something.
"So, you are saying the C- ranked boss monster was dead when you arrived and you don't know who killed it?" the receptionist asked Blaze.
"Yes, that is correct. There was only a single survivor from the previous party and he was scared and hiding behind a rock at the time, so he doesn't know what happened either."
"Are you sure , you aren't lying. This is the first time, I have heard something like this. The boss was a higher rank than the assigned rank? The whole party was annihilated and there was only one survivor? And , that only survivor isn't here either. How should I believe you , when you have no proof? I would say the probability of you having a beef with them is higher."
"But , it's the truth ---"
At that moment a familiar nonchalant voice from behind cut him off.
"He really is speaking the truth , I am the witness and the sole survivor of that dungeon. You can check it in your database if you don't believe me either."
Blaze turned around after hearing the voice and Frore was standing there.
