Chapter 6: Shopping
Frore walked up to the receptionists desk where Blaze was standing.
Blaze who was initially shocked, turned towards the receptionist. Looks like she was done with her verifiation, as she didn't say much afterwards. She only told them , they might need to come in for an interrogation if they were needed during investigation.
They both agreed and left the association building together.
I thought he would question me but, he hasn't said a thing.
Contarary to what Frore was expecting, Blaze didn't ask him about what he was doing here.
It's not that Blaze wasn't curious , but that he understood, that a kid might feel uncomfortable going to a stranger's house alone for the first time. He didn't want to go in alone , so he followed him here instead. Blaze didn't mind that at all though.
On their way back, Blaze thought that Frore neede new clothes so he asked "Would you like to come with me to the shopping mall for a bit? I need to buy some groceries."
Frore nodded his head and walked alongside Blaze.
At the shopping mall, they climbed the elevator to the first floor. Instead of going to the grocery store , Blaze went to a clothing store.
The shopkeeper , "May i ask for whom you ae looking for clothes , sir?"
Blaze pointed in Frore's direction, "for him. Please show me all the latest designs you have for hunters."
"Certainly sir." he motioned towards a worker and he brought a lot of clothes out. Blaze kept the ones he thought were suitable for Frore. He then tried them against Frore , but was confused beause all of them looked great, so he asked for Frore's opinion.
"Buy whichever you want."
"No, that won't do. You are the one who has to wear them. So tell me which one's you want. Tell me sincerely, you don't need to hold back." No one has ever asked for his opinion , so Frore felt a bit wierd , but it wasn't a bad feeling.
"Then, this one and that". He chose a black T-shirt, pants and boots hunter clothes set, just like the one's Blaze wore and a pair of plain white pyjamas.
Blaze still wanted to buy him more clothes. He wanted to dote on this kid who has lived such an unhappy life for so long.
"Are you sure? You can ask for more you know?"
"Yes, I am sure. That's all I need for now."
"Hmm...ok"
"Then please pack these up", Blaze turned towards the shopkeeper.
Blaze was making the payment, so he didn't notice the really small, almost indecipherable smile on Frore's face , that vanished as quickly as it has appeared.
After that, Blaze did buy a couple of other things and then they went back home together.
"The rightmost room on the second floor is mine , you can take any of the other available rooms. Go and take a rest, you have done enough for today."
Frore took the bag of his clothes and settled in the room next to Blaze's room.
Blaze took a bath and changed into casual jeans and a plain white t- shirt. He went downstairs to the kitchen and used his 'cooking' skill to cook some fried rice and Manchurian. He cooked a bit extra than two servings and placed two pairs of cutlery on the dinner table.
"Frore , dinner is ready come and eat!" . Blaze realized he was behaving somewhat like a mother , but it can't be helped when he knows what Frore has gone through at such a young age; and what's to come next. It was nothing but suffering, pain and misery. Frore should at least have some peaceful, nice moments like these to be able to endure the future events without breaking.
