Chapter 36: Chapter 22: Raven's Pot Of Tea

"Die."

"Woah, woah, woah!" Raven interrupted quickly, "Let's not resort to death so quickly! At least give him to the guards to handle!"

"I completely agree." I nodded, rolling up my sleeves, "Kill him, Kyle."

"No, no, no!" Raven argued earnestly, "Think about the poor cleaner who has to clean the blood!"

"I'll give them a bonus." I compromised, "Any other problems?"

Raven stayed silent, pondering about more problems to prevent us.

"In that case, continue." I declared.

"Do you honestly think two kids can even touch a fully trained adult?" Count Akuno chortled, "I'd like to see that happen."

"Your wish is my command." Kyle replied expressionlessly and leapt off the ground and sliced Akuno's hair on the top of his head, leaving him partially bald.

"Stop toying with him, Kyle." I tsked, "Just kill him already."

"Let's go, Ms." Raven beamed at the woman, "It might be a little too gruesome for you."

"No, I want to watch this." The lady tugged his sleeves to sit back down.

Raven's smile slightly dropped and a gloomy aura surrounded him,

"But I don't want to…" Raven sighed tearfully.

Kyle and I circled Count Akuno cautiously, Count Akuno's claims weren't just bluff, he was an experienced and prominent sword user.

RAVEN:

Aha… Someone was definitely going to die.

Not that I didn't want to watch Count Akuno suffer but killing him would only cause a harmful backlash onto Kyle and Ivory.

Normally Kyle was calm towards difficult situations, it was a new experience for me to watch him to have such strong negative emotions.

I glanced at Count Akuno.

Pretty sure he was the reason Kyle was a nutcase though.

Ivory was a whole new story though, she looked like she was feeling sheer joy at attacking Count Akuno.

I couldn't tell if she was just overly excited to remove a piece of evil from earth or if she was just a sadist.

I suspected it was the latter.

I inspected Count Akuno's movements; he definitely wasn't a beginner in combat. Kyle and Ivory were extremely strong, but Count Akuno was a fully grown adult with years of experience, and I feared he would harm them.

"If you kill him, your reputation will become scarred." I yelled at them, attempting to calm both down.

"This is for the greater justice!" Kyle stubbornly argued.

I sighed pitiably.

I watched as they continued to fight and noticed Count Akuno swing down his sword to strike Kyle.

Brother was going to be too slow and would be slashed painfully.

"Ivory, call the guards!" I commanded as I released my shadow powers.

A twisting, black smoke sped towards Count Akuno's shadow. The shadow absorbed my magic eagerly and greedily before it started to jerk around, and its body parts wrenched itself into angles that shouldn't be possible.

I fuelled his shadow with more of my enchantments before I channelled my will and intent into Count Akuno's shadow.

And the shadow tripped Count Akuno.

Just as Count Akuno fell, guards came running towards us and seized him.

"Now, I really don't think we need to attack him anymore, the guards are here to help us." I smiled charmingly, "How about we let go of this situation with a peaceful resolution?"

I was extremely pleased with the way this had ended, no one was harmed, and most of all, I could finally go back to finish my beloved tea.

"Prince Raven's words hold much wisdom and mercy." The lady smiled innocently while kicking a groaning Count Akuno viciously in the gut. "But some people need a physical reminder to remember not to repeat their past mistakes. I hope his future generation will forgive me."

She raised her foot above a certain place on his body.

"Ahahahahahaha." I laughed nervously and quickly, steering her away before she inflicted any damage, "Is that the stove I smell burning?"

I quickly navigated us towards the palace rapidly, before she decided to change her mind and get revenge on Count Akuno.

"Am I growing old?" Kyle asked Ivory worriedly, "Isn't the stove in the kitchen too far to smell?"

IVORY:

"I missed this…" Raven sighed happily while sipping the tea.

The lady had gone home to reunite with her husband and family and both of us were relaxing from the climatic dilemma earlier.

"You know, I really love drinking this type of tea. It's really relaxing." Raven smiled, half-asleep, "If I could stay like this the whole day, it would be bliss-"

The window beside us shattered.
