Chapter 3: Running away
After I finished packing I was about to jump out the window, but I decided to write a note to my dear mate.
Dear Mate,
I am leaving the only reason I was still staying in this pack was to find my mate and hope he would change everything. I had hope that he would stop the abuse but you rejected me instead. You will regret ever letting me go. I am leaving and you won't see me for a while. Sincerely, Stella Moon.
I put the note on my bed where they would find it easily and jumped out the window.
I kept running until I was at the edge of the border. I stopped and said one thing through the mind link to everyone that hurt me.
"Goodbye." I knew they heard me because they always keep their mindlinks open in case a rogue crossed the border.
I ran across the border before they knew what I was doing.
I kept running I never stopped for anything exept for food and water. I have been running for three days non stop and my wolf and I need to rest.
I ran out of food and water yesterday so I had to hunt and find a stream.
So I stopped by a tree to rest and find something to drink. My wolf told me to listen but I didn't know why at first until I heard the water of a stream. I was really glad when I heard the stream, I was getting dehydrated and needed to get my energy back up. I was walking to the stream when I heard a twig snap.
I turned my head to where the sound came from and tried to see if I saw anyone or anything. I was on high alert in case it was a rouge and I needed to fight.
Not even a minute later four wolves came out of the woods one had black fur another had brown and two of them had blonde fur I'm guessing they are twins.
The one with the black fur looked familiar, I feel like I've seen him before. I just couldn't put my finger on it.
They all went behind a tree I'm guessing to shift and my theory was right because a sceond later they all came back with only basketball shorts on.
The wolf with the black fur spoke first. He had so much power I'm guessing he is the alpha.
"What are you doing on my territory rouge." He had so much power in his voice. If made me and my wolf whimper. I didn't trust alphas and you know why. I can handle all the other ranking wolves but I stay away from alphas.
I didn't even know I crossed another pack's territory I thought I was still in no man's land. This was bad, I heard that other packs kill rouges on the stop. I didn't want to die or be tortured.
I guess I took to long to answer because the next thing I know was he was asking me the question again, but with some of his alpha tone in it.
By now I was shaking I didn't want them to hurt me I have been hurt enough.
"I-I was running away f-from m-my pack b-because they were m-mistreating me a-and m-my mate rejected me." I hated how I sounded to vulnerable.
By now I was full on crying I tried to wipe the tears away but they just kept on coming. I didn't want them to think I was weak. What if they tried to make me their slave or worse.
I heard a furious growl so I looked up and saw all the boys shaking with anger. I thought I did something bad so I started backing away. When I was far enough away from them I started running. I didn't even look back in fear they were chasing me.
I guess one of them noticed because the next thing I know I'm on the ground with one of the twins laying on top of me. I whimpered when I fell. He landed on my unhealed bruises. I guess he didn't notice though.
"Why did you run," he said.
"I-I thought you all were going to hurt me."
He had a furious look on his face and I was already shaking. I needed to get away from here.
"Did they hurt you in any way?"
I didn't want to answer it brings back bad memories, but I guess he had other plans.
"DID THEY."
"Y-yes." I was full on shaking when he yelled at me. I thought he was going to hurt me. I couldn't handle another beating.
Finally the alpha had come and got him off of me. I was laying on the ground with my hands over my head. The alpha wanted me to come back to the pack house with them, but I wouldn't move. They were just going to hurt me and make me their slave. I guess they just got tired of me not moving and just picked me up.
I tensed at first but then I realized he wouldn't hurt me so I got more comfortable. On the way to the pack house the alpha had asked me a few questions but I didn't want to answer them so he just gave up. I didn't fully trust this alpha. He is probably faking being worried about me so he can get me to trust him. I wasn't falling for that again. When he stopped asking me questions I was starting to get really tired from running for three days. My stomach growled from not getting any food. I needed to eat something to I can get my energy back.
I layed my head on his shoulder and fell asleep. The last thing I heard was the alpha telling me to get some rest.
