The Rejected Ninja | Hanabi × Hayabusa

Hanabi has duelled Hayabusa midnight after midnight, determined to defeat him. But she cannot; strangely, he is the only opponent she cannot defeat. So each midnight they meet, which is forbidden, and Hanabi would attempt to defeat him finally.
In the duels, Hanabi has felt a strange feeling towards Hayabusa, ever since she is eleven, and she is troubled for she has never felt this before, and it is forbidden for the Scarlet Shadows to mingle with the Shadow Controllers.
Then Hayabusa is prophesied to battle the High Ningja, and Hanabi is afraid for him, especially when the spiritualist girl Hayabusa seemingly likes, leads him to trouble. Hanabi then knows that she should follow Hayabusa's trail to the Land of Dawn to help him.
