Chapter 2: Chapter : 2

'Aughh' I muttered, the sight of me drowning and the lack of oxygen made me feel terrified, 'Where am I?' I thought. As I looked around I could feel a soft bed behind me "Was that a nightmare?" I thought.

The next moment I could feel a gentle hand pulling me up, she looked like she was in her mid-twenties,

and she had long hair which was the same color as hazelnut. 'A dream perhaps', I thought but surprisingly my body reacted on its own and started to cry. The young lady who looked at me held me close and started to sing a strange song.

It was soothing, way too soothing; I started to drowse off listening to the lullaby.

I woke up with a sudden sound, not to be exact a screech. The screech sent a shiver up my spine. As I desperately looked at the source of the screech I narrowed my eyes toward the window, what I saw was unfathomable. It was an eagle, a huge one at that. As my gaze met its deep magenta eyes it suddenly raised its wings majestically up the sky and looked at me but this time its eyes were black with a single silvery lining around its eyes as I tried to say something the bird flew far away.

I was awestruck, its eyes changed color I could see it but why??

I don't know how but that eagle looked sad, I just could feel it, and my thoughts started to get drowsy and I fell asleep.

I was woken up by a sweet sound. There was the same hazelnut lady who held me by my arms and started to tickle and play with me.

'Roy' she said, at first I couldn't understand why she was calling me Roy but that's when the thought struck me 'I have reincarnated' and in this world my name was Roy.

'Roy huh a new life and a new name' I thought, but one thing I couldn't understand was why am I able to stay calm in a situation like this, although I don't know about other reincarnations or whatever; shouldn't one usually panic?

I stopped having my deep thoughts once I heard my mother's voice.

'Royii' come on let's meet ur dad, you must very excited huh' she said as she gently pulled my cheeks. 'Royii really' I thought.

My mother's name was Anna, Anna Ishtart. Ishtart is my father's family name. But in my 3 "weeks of experience" in this world, I am very much lacking in the field of information.

"Anna",

As I heard the voice I turned to look at the source I saw a muscular man who was around 6 feet tall looking in my mother's direction, he wore a long brown coat and a huge sword bore behind him.

"Dear", she said as she smiled back and kissed him on his cheeks. As they spent around a complete minute finishing all their respective' things' the man turned to look at me.

Now that I could see his complete face I saw a scar running down from his left eye. His jet-black hair and his violet eyes made his scar look more like some kind of a cool style.

He made a huge smile as he saw me and kissed my forehead and said "Roy, welcome to the Ishtart family".

As I heard his words I was dumbfounded. After all what kind of father would greet his newborn son like this?

As my parents talked about some stuff I understood the basic gist of the situation.

My father's name is Zenith Ishtart, son of Julian Ishtart. It seems that Ishtar is a family that is quite influential and seemed to be one of the families holding the lieutenant position in the Royal Kingdom. Even with all this, my family is not royal.

My family is the only commoner with a lieutenant title. The thing that caught my most attention was The Power of Magic.

Although I could understand most of what they spoke I could still understand some, then again WHY?? Why could I understand? how am I staying calm? I still had a lot of questions going on but I knew I would get no answer. But the biggest mystery is How or should I say WHY did I reincarnate with my memories still intact? Then again a small wave passed over my brain and I regained my calmness.

'Huh,' I sighed. "I have to find out more."
