Chapter 11: Back In The City
"What should we do to him? All of the healing medicines have somehow had no effect and he's still as unconscious now as he was when we found him." They all looked towards him yet again, completely unconscious, Velios was laying there on the bed, covered in bandages all over his upper body. It seems that the fatigue from all of the work pushed his body to far over the limit for his own good. "Who's turn is it to take care of him for the day?" The room turned a little bit more silent. "Guess it's my turn today, huh?" One of the younger females in the group said out loud, trying to sound responsible. They all promptly left the room except for the girl. Though she was not showing it, she was extremely scared of what could have caused the destruction of the forest and Velios' unconsciousness but even more worried about if Velios was fine or not and what he must have experienced. But in reality, you could say that it all was caused from Velios' stupidity and possibly his tendencies to pass out after pushing himself way too hard.
"Food, food..." Velios was mouthing out the word food, getting only slightly louder after every word. He was completely alone in the room and he was basically still unconscious. His body was still laying there and his lips were barely moving but he kept on uttering the same word over and over. Suddenly, the door opened and the same girl came into the room with a first aid kit and a wet blanket. She had barely stepped into the room and as soon as she turned around she was met with quite the surprise. "Food!" Was heard from Velios rattling back and forth in the bed having just woken up. She was caught extremely off guard by it and therefore dropped everything she was holding while screaming. "Food!" Velios was still screaming the word, not having acknowledged the young lady walking into the room. "You're... You're... You're finally awake!" You could barely tell that she was relieved that Velios seemed to be fine since for the most part she still was in a state of shock.
"Lia what happened?!" One of the group members shouted when they collectively came into the room because of the scream. "Let me go! I still need to train, I'm not done!" Velios was struggling against Lia, who had to hold him back from both removing the bandages and running back into the forest. "No! You still need to rest, you just woke up!" She shouted back at him. They kept on going back and forth for a solid minute without anybody even trying to stop them. They were instead too busy wondering about how Velios was even awake with that beat up body of his. "Wait, Lia, how long has that guy been awake for now? He was completely unconscious just a while ago when we left and how is he even awake in the first place? You saw the wounds on his body after all, right?" She had turned silent after hearing that, kept on standing there looking down on the ground. She almost started crying all of a sudden. "Yes, Akanji! I saw all of those wounds. We still have no idea of what happened to him, but we are all trapped here in this game now and we're all in the same situation. But knowing that someone experienced something like that while we're sitting here in the comfort of the city having the time of our lives with our new friends. I just, feel really sorry for him..." The room became silent immediately, Velios stopped resisting and decided to just lay down again, even though he didn't really want to. "Give me food!" The entire room turned to him as he was laying there just looking at all of them one by one. They were in turn looking back at him like he was some sort of idiot.
A while later they were sitting at a nearby restaurant, buying tons and tons of food because someone was really hungry and that someone did also not have any money. They even had to carry him there because he could not yet properly walk and would probably still try to run away into the forest. "I just realized, we haven't even asked for your name yet." One of them asked respectfully. "Velios, the name is Velios" He tried to speak properly but it was quite hard when he was chewing down food as fast as he could. "What are your guys' names?" From what I can tell, there is one of them who seems to be the leader. I think he plays a good role at least. The other ones seem to be very discordinated when he's not around. Especially that one girl, how does she drop everything like that from walking. She couldn't even hold a towel and a box? At this point Velios was just stealing the food from all the other people without them even noticing, the food was suddenly just gone. But it wasn't hard for them to figure out who it was since he was the only one not asking questions and instead the one eating.
"My name is Leonardo, or Leon for short. The hot-headed one is Akanji, the girl is Lia, the one to my left is Edward and the silent and shy one by the far corner is Sarah. We all are new to each other so we haven't known each other for too long but we're getting along quite nicely." The table had only become more talkative, but there seemed to be a question that everybody wanted to ask but they all knew would turn the table completely silent if asked, it would simply ruin the mood. "Velios, what happened out there in the forest exactly?" The table turned silent, but Velios was not ready for that kind of reaction. As far as he was concerned, he only thought that they helped him because he had passed out and nothing else while they thought there had been a serious battle where he was close to dying. "Oh that's what you guys wanted to know? Nothing special really, I was just training myself to the point where I passed out. I also forgot to eat during my training." That answer made them even more confused than what they were prepared for. "Velios, that doesn't explain anything... How was it all destroyed, the trees, the ground. Second of all, how on earth is it training? You were basically in a coma for almost three days!"
