Chapter 6: Chapter Six

|| Liliana Magnusson ||

The plane landed exactly half-past one in Stockholm Sweden. She was exhausted from the long ten-hour flight. She would always take another few extra hour power naps after landing but she needed to see her father as soon as possible and deliver the necklace that he wanted. As she enters her condo she brews herself some green tea, it always helps her to stay awake when she was feeling like a bean bag ready to crash her bed. After drinking two mugs of hot green tea she took a quick shower and blow-dried her hair to give it a boost of volume. Applied on a simple natural sunset mood theme makeup look with an orange-ish neutral lip color. She decided to wear a slim belted, double golden button, knee-length black dress that hugs her body perfectly, she paired the look with pointed black heels. She was never really a jewelry type of person. Even though she loves designing them, she didn't always like to wear a lot of jewelry. She put on regular simple diamond earrings and a simple sterling silver green emerald bracelet. She also packed a bottle of green tea just in case she needed it to give her a boost of energy. She grabbed her work bag and her purse and headed out the door, leaving her kitchen in a mess. She loves to cook. Ever since she was little she always wanted to become a chef but that dream of hers changed but she would still love to learn how to cook exotic dishes and baking. As she arrived at her father's office she knocked before entering, just in case he had company in there she didn't want to barge in and make a fool of herself for not having any manners. " Come in" she enters as she hears a low sharp voice replied back to her knock. She walked straight to his seating area with comfy navy blue couches and a square glass coffee table in the center. She opened her bag and pulled out the box that the impossible necklace was in. She walked straight towards his desk, while he signed the last document, his forehead creased with worry and tired eyes. " What's the matter pa?" She asked while setting the box down on his desk as he closes the binder and looked up at her, and leaned back in his leather chair. "Natalia ran away to France since this morning and your mother and I still can't find her" Runaway? What could she be running away from? " Why would she run away out of the blue, did something happened to her?" She sat on the chair opposite her father as her legs were giving up on her. " I don't know, we still need to find her before.." he paused as he sat up in his chair and continued in a deep straightforward tone, " before we plan on the wedding." Liliana was in a confused state at the same time a bit surprised. Her sister is going to be getting married but ran away? " Natalia is getting married?" She had no idea that her sister was planning on getting married. "You see it was an arranged marriage that I and the Roussos family has agreed on, one of my daughters will marry their son, but as you can see Natalia ran away and the wedding is supposed to be happening in two weeks, not only that but their son came here today in Sweden to meet Natalia, but she's gone and the option I have left is to have you become his fiance for the time being while I try to find your rebellious sister." Liliana was about to refuse on continuing with this ridiculous plan that her father had arranged with them, but before she can even speak out a word her father beat her to it. "You don't need to give me that look, as of right now your sister is missing and we need to find her, you will be engaged to her fiance, and you will live with him until we have located where she is, I don't want to hear it, leave the necklace and you can leave, tomorrow morning I'll have someone come and pack your things to move to his house in Greece." He called his secretary to re-edit one of the documents that he was reading, while Liliana stood from the black leather chair and grabbed her bags and left with no emotion showed on her face. Her father has always been a straightforward person and when he has his mind set on something he doesn't change it even when there was a huge obstacle in the way. The minute she reaches her condo she ran to her room and threw herself onto her white puffy pillows on her bed and cried until she felt like her eyes were as dry as a chalkboard. Her white pillows were soaked with her tears and smears of her makeup. She washed her face and changed into a more comfy outfit as she was not in the mood to do anything but to sip her cup of tea. She was going to live in a stranger home tomorrow just the thought of it made her angry and mad all at once. But it was only going to be at least a few weeks until her sister was found, then she'll return back to her normal life of no crazy engagement or any of whatsoever. If her sister is going to marry the guy that their father chose then she has to set a good image for him and his family. For the next coming up weeks, she will show the Roussos how capable the Magnusson's daughter is, and how well mannered they were taught and how skillful they are to be named as their daughter in law. She is not going to embarrassed her family's name, she is going to show them that they had made the right choice, to have chosen one of the most talented and well-mannered daughter in law. Hopefully, by showing them how well she behaved and how skillful she is, they will end up liking their family, so that it would be easier for them when her sister is found and her sister marries him and she then will return back to her normal life.
