Chapter 1: Shattered Reflections
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY
The dust-filled room is dimly lit by broken, hanging light fixtures. Tattered curtains sway in the breeze, revealing glimpses of a desolate neighborhood outside. An old television flickers with static, casting eerie shadows on the wall.
YUMI (16), a timid high school student, cautiously enters the room. She clutches an old photo of her younger sister, AIKO (12), who mysteriously disappeared a year ago. Determined to find answers, Yumi begins investigating the abandoned house believed to be the last place Aiko was seen.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - DINING ROOM - DAY
Yumi hears a faint whisper, amplifying her growing unease. She walks towards a sliding door leading to the kitchen and hesitates, sensing danger.
INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS
Yumi slowly pushes open the sliding door. The kitchen is dilapidated, cabinets hanging open, and a filth-coated sink overflowing with dirty dishes. As Yumi scans the room, she notices a stack of papers on a dusty table. Curiosity gets the best of her as she picks them up.
The papers are filled with sketches of creepy, distorted faces. They all resemble characters from an anime show, yet each sketch exudes an eerie aura. Yumi shivers as she realizes the striking resemblance to the characters she and Aiko once adored.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY
Yumi enters a dusty bedroom and discovers a closet door slightly ajar. She hesitantly pushes it open and stumbles upon an expansive collection of anime figurines, all broken and shattered. Something feels sinister about the room.
As Yumi examines the figurines closer, she finds her heart skipping a beat. The broken pieces resemble victims, their faces twisted in terror. Frantic, she notices a note tucked away among the shattered figurines.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DAY
Yumi unfolds the note, revealing words written in blood-red ink: "One wish, granted for a soul." Panic sets in as she realizes that her sister's disappearance and the disturbing anime sketches are connected.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - BASEMENT - NIGHT
Yumi descends into the basement, clutching the photo of Aiko tightly. The air is heavy with an unnerving presence. As she reaches the bottom, she freezes, seeing flickering screens displaying scenes from the anime show. It's as if the characters have come to life.
Suddenly, a figure materializes from the darkness—the main antagonist of the anime. Its vicious grin widens, emanating a malevolent aura. The room darkens further, trapping Yumi in its clutches.
INT. ABANDONED HOUSE - BASEMENT - LATER
Yumi gasps for air, awakening in the dim basement. The screens no longer flicker, and the figure has vanished. She glances down at the photo, only to see her own reflection in the cracked glass—an eerie smile spread across her face.
FADE OUT.
