Third POV
Going back few hours just few minutes after Vergil left, Simon and his coworkers were there to see the young noble off
Seeing them go away Simon wiped the sweat off his forehead , the knights of the Winchester family were not just for show
"Okay the young lord has left everybody go back to work, also the potions the young lord sent appraise them and place them for sale" Simon issued some orders as he went back to the room
Knock knock
"Come in" Akane said after a moment
Simon entered the room and he saw that Akane was busy thinking about something her frown visible
"What happened with Young noble Miss. Akane" Simon asked respectfully, Akane really is in higher position than him
"Well it would seem we have to reassess Vergil Winchester" Akane said seriously
"What do you mean Miss" Simon was confused
"Nothing, just do your work, also…. Pay special attention to any news related to Vergil Winchester" Akane said as she thought for some time
After that Akane took her leave as she left the room, with Simon left behind with a confused face
Akane went to a special room in the deepest part of the Guild house, there she lit up a special runic code
After inputting the designated input code a large circle flashed around her as she felt the surroundings around her turn pitch black and then it turned into a big garden with a lake in the center of the garden
It would seem she had teleported using a secret method, Akane took a deep breath as she relived the strong nausea and dizziness form the teleportation
Under the evening sky an old man with white silver hair and beard was sitting on the edge as he was fishing, the old man was just like any other elder but there was something about him something that stood out from the rest even many younger generation would not have, He was like a big star attracting everything around him, clearly he has reached a realm which countless people can only dream of achieving
"Lord, I have completed the task" Akane said as she knelt in front if the old man her eyes full of reverence and respect
The old man did not respond as if he were waiting for the fish to take the bait and Akane did not dare to stand up
"Good job…." After some time the old man said in response
"There's something else..... The young noble wanted to convey his gratitude to the person who send him the information" she said still kneeling albeit this time her body was shaking slightly
It was really baffling for her that, how a young boy like Vergil got to know that she was ordered by someone to give the news to him
The old man's fishing pole staggered for a brief moment but it was enough for the fishes in the pond to runaway
"How much did he pay you" He asked casually as he rearranged the bait
"2-2000 Platinum" she stuttered
There was deafening silence in the garden
Akane back was full of cold sweat, originally it was decided to give a favor to the young noble, she thought he would not be able to procure this much funds or would at least bargain to reduce the amount, but he simply agreed catching her off guard so she had to accept the amount given buy the noble, if she had decreased the amount again it would affect the reputation of the Auction house.
As Akane was thinking wildly she heard a chuckle she looked up it was the old man
"What a funny little guy…" The old man said in an amused tone
Akane was really surprised it was her first time seeing lord like this. After some time he said again
"Go back, Also if there is any news endangering the Winchester family give it to him " he said as he waved his hand indicating her to go back
"Yes My Lord" she said as she bowed her head and left through the teleportation circle
The calm was restored around the garden with a faint murmur was heard
"Looking forward to meeting you ….. Little guy" as it drifted into silence
Vergil POV
I was on my way back home while I was explaining to May the reason for my actions earlier
"May you are right the information could be given to my by Father when he arrives, even then It would not be this much expensive, also I can just ask Sunniva here" I said as i looked at both of them
At the moment Sunniva also looked at me, this also confused her
"Simply because I want them too owe me favor" I said as I spread my hands
May was confused while Sunniva suddenly had a realization
"You want more information from them" Sunniva realized the problem
May also looked surprised she asked
"More information? About what?" she asked more question
'It would seem May is not to keen on the big picture' I mused internally, not that it matters her strength can crush most people
"Although me and family are under the attention of quite a lot of people, but not all of them have kind intentions, because of this incident many people will be implicated and loose many things, naturally they need to take this anger out on someone, who better than the one who caused this" I said as I broke down the situation for them
May seemed to realize the importance of situation while Sunniva looked guilty as she said
"Sorry…" Before she could say I interrupted her
"Don't apologize it's not your fault, I will do the same regardless of the situation, while you are mainly a victim to this…. On the contrary I should thank you" I said reassuring her
"Thank.. Me?" She looked confused
"Yes because of your involvement this underground operation will be handled more strictly and the people behind this will not be easily escape unscathed, there will be severe repercussion for all the people involved, it might not shale there foundation but it will definitely stumble them for a while" I explained, enough time for me to grow even more strong
"And they will not do anything in the short term as if anything happens to me the hero who saved the princess' it will clearly challenge the authority of the Imperial family… as I technically did them a favor, so for the time being I can act boldly without feeling any serious danger" I said acting proud
"I see, now I understand" May said her curiosity fulfilled
"Vergil you are really bad" Sunniva said as she smiled back to her usual self
"I will take this a compliment" I said with a grin
Both May and Sunniva giggled looking at my antics, I also smiled with them. before we knew it we were home
