Chapter 56: Traveling to the Yellow City

"This is good. We will prepare to leave in 2 days then," Elen nodded with a smile on her face.

She was already looking forward to resolving this issue and then returning to Stone Island quickly. She liked seeing the improvements that were carried out in Dry City, but this place still lacked many things when compared to Old Stone, so she didn't want to stay here for long.

"In fact, I have a suggestion for you." she then seemed to have thought of something and said while looking into Minos' eyes.

"Oh! Tell me." Minos's brows raised as he nodded.

"Have you heard of the Spiritual Tournament? It would be a good event for you to meet the future governors of this region of the Central Continent."

Minos then shook his head and said, "Hmm, I've heard of this competition. In fact, after returning from the Kingdom of Waves, I will be training for a few weeks and then go to the Cromwell Kingdom to participate in this tournament."

'As expected... He must have heard that from the woman who is always with him. I heard that she has very abnormal strength...' Elen thought to herself after hearing Minos' response.

She had heard from one of her servants that Ruth had beaten the three guards who were escorting young master Luke and it was because of her that Minos was able to escape the clutches of the arrogant young blond.

She also started to think about the implications this woman could bring to her business with Minos, 'Might she be someone from an empire?' Elen thought.

That made sense to her. After all, in addition to Ruth's unbelievable strength, Minos was a big unknown in her eyes. 'Maybe an empire is helping him from the shadows?'

Minos then continued after noticing Elen's thoughtful expression, "But don't worry about it. I have no interest in going to the Flaming Empire. Instead, I will participate in the Spiritual Tournament to do what you suggested. Meet these future sovereigns of the northern region of the Central Continent."

Elen relaxed a little and let out a silent breath of relief upon hearing this. She then said, "Hmm, I understand."

"Well, since we have solved everything here, I am going to go out and make some preparations. See you in 2 days," Minos said before saying goodbye to Elen and her bodyguard, Eduard.

...

After a while, Minos was in his office, along with Butler Dillian, Sergeant Pyke, and Secretary Mia.

Pyke then said, "Young master, to accompany you on this trip, we are preparing the 24 soldiers who have already reached level 40. And along with that, there will also be another 30 men, who have a strength ranging between levels 35 and 39."

Of the 25 soldiers who had reached the 5th stage, only Sergeant Pyke was the one not going on this mission to the Kingdom of Waves as Minos had decided that this time, Pyke would stay in Dry City to run this place in his absence.

"Grandpa Dillian, on this trip, I want you to accompany me. We may need your medical techniques since we are not aware of the enemy forces exactly," Minos said with a serious look on his face.

Butler Dillian, despite not being a warrior, was someone who focused his techniques on one specific area, which was medicine. And unlike the other specializations, doctors were much different from alchemists, blacksmiths, and array masters, because they did not produce any type of external item.

What a doctor offered to this world was nothing more than healing techniques and could also be classified as support professionals, which could be very useful in battles.

After all, people were always getting hurt in these battles and spiritual healing pills could not be used all the time since they were expensive. And therefore, doctors were helpful in missions in such situations, similar to the one that the Minos' group was preparing for.

Dillian smiled and said, "It's okay. It was time for this old man to see some action."

"As for Secretary Mia, while we are away for the time, I want you to help Sergeant Pyke manage the city. I know he also has to take care of the Black Plain Army, so he might not always be able to solve all the administrative problems here," Minos said while looking at Mia.

The young secretary responded resolutely, "You can leave it to me, young master. I will definitely not disappoint you."

After that, the group split up, leaving only Minos in the office.

Later he returned to the Spatial Kingdom to observe the two youths who were training there currently.

Alison and Lee had already returned to the Spatial Kingdom after Minos asked Dillian to bring them back as he planned to let the two remain here until he went to the Cromwell Kingdom, which was supposed to happen within the next three months.

Minos observed the two as they trained their fighting techniques while he ate a spiritual apple next to the large house near the lake.

Upon noticing his presence, the two youths came rushing towards him.

"Master, can you give us some tips?" Lee asked in his childish voice.

"Hmm, what do you want to know?"

And so, Minos began to advise the two while making numerous gestures to demonstrate how they should move to increase their proficiency in fighting.

After a while, Lee and Alison continued their training while Minos observed them closely while suggesting and correcting them at certain times as the youths made mistakes.

...

Time passed, and all preparations for the mission to the Kingdom of Waves were carried out. All 54 soldiers, who were going on this trip, were already in their respective carriages, at the same time, Minos, Ruth, Dillian, Elen, and Eduard accompanied them in the middle convoy.

The group was heading north to travel to Yellow City, which was about 1,500 kilometers from Dry City. According to the information obtained by Minos' group from Elen, this city didn't have a noble family and was governed by a regent.

And similar to Black Plain, hardly any noble family would pass through this place or care about the security and order there.

As for the royal family of the Kingdom of Waves, they were even less interested in that place, than the Brown family was in the region that was under Minos' command.

At least it was like that until a few months ago.

On the other hand, Elen had no further information about the city, as some of the Nash family delivery men who traveled through this region had failed to send any further news and were then reported missing.

As far as Elen knew, although the Yellow City had many groups of bandits for a long time, they had not shown any interest in publicly taking over the government of that region all this long.

At least it was like this for those who received news of what was happening in that place, in fact, the actions of these groups were moderate, and as long as the merchants paid some 'fees,' they were allowed to pass through the region without any trouble.

"Ms. Elen, do you have information about the leader of these bandits?" Dillian asked calmly.

Elen shook her head, "I do not know, but he is not a Spiritual King yet and I am sure of that."

"According to our information, some of these bandits must be famous fugitives from different parts of the Central Continent. But if any of them had already reached the Spiritual King stage, they certainly wouldn't remain here," Elen added.

"I don't know if you are aware of this, but there is a large organization of assassins in the north of the Central Continent called Scourges of the Devil and they only accept renowned criminals who have already reached level 50!"

"So, if any of them had reached that level, they would certainly leave this region to join the forces of Scourges of the Devil. And even if Yellow City is a little stronger than Dry City, no Spiritual King would want to live in a place like this," Elen said with a severe expression.

'Scourges of the Devil, huh...' Dillian thought to himself.

That was the organization's name that had dispatched two assassins to help the Silva family kill the former General, Albert Stuart.

The Scourges of the Devil, despite being a criminal organization focused on assassinations, were almost as strong as some of the weakest kingdoms in the region. And that was why any large families did not pursue them in this part of the Central Continent.

Unless there was a big grudge between them, no one would want to mess with such an organization. After all, although they might not be many, all the members of this organization were Spiritual Kings!

And to make matters worse, no one knew where the headquarters of this group was located, making it even more complicated for anyone to act openly against the Scourges of the Devil, making this organization a dream for many of the criminals in that region of the continent to tie up with.

That was the reason why Elen was so sure that there were no Spiritual Kings in Yellow City.

"Hmm, I understand," Minos nodded with a thoughtful look. That organization was on his list of vengeance for the future.

Butler Dillian had already told Minos about this group and their involvement in the attack that was faced by Albert Stuart a few years ago.

...

Two days passed quickly, and the group had already covered most of the distance to Yellow City and in the next few hours, they would reach their destination and be preparing to set up camp near the city.

...

Meanwhile, in a particular mansion in Yellow City, a man came running to the office of the leader of bandits. "Chief Gul, we found that fox and her cub..."
