A blur light sped across the Mediterranean sea unable to be made out by ordinary vision. This was naturally Itachi who simply went back to his hotel before sneaking out through a combination of hiding his magic along with the shadow element, before shooting off into the sky once he was in the clear
He honestly found the others attempts to tail him quite comical as he didn't know where their confidence came from. His magic was at too high of a level, so even Forbidden Tier mages couldn't use their magic sense to find him if he was actively hiding it. Even after his little bit of showing off at the tournament, they still only saw him as only a Super Tier mage since the Holy Court had no idea the full extent of demonization much less the fact he could turn into a full blown fucking dragon.
He wasn't going to underestimate them at all, but he already felt quite confident in his abilities. 'Soon, I will be even better prepared and they will be completely annihilated" he thought with a bit of excitement at the prospect of eliminating the current biggest threat to him.
"First I need to find out exactly where this researcher is staying" he muttered pulling his phone out of his pocket 'Good thing I have a hacker Lolita on my side' he thought with a sly smirk as the intended receiver picked up the phone hearing the voice of a little girl as she muttered sleepily "What do you need? It's late" she said followed by a adorable yawn
"I need some details on a man named Pang Zhoulong" he said simply as she replied in a very annoyed tone "It's always Ling Ling do this, do that.
Since when have you even visited? I haven't seen you in person for two years" she proclaimed while Itachi couldn't help but picture her in his head throwing a tantrum stomping her feet as she held the receiver angrily.
"Calm down" he said with a smile "I will visit you soon. As you most likely have seen already, I'm coming back into the open, so I will definitely need your help in the future dealing with a certain group" He said pacifying her as she respond with a cold Hmph "It is very boring with only Grandpa around. As the only other member of the Clearsky Hunters agency, you should be more available you big meanie" she said a bit sadly near the end
She paused for a moment seemingly hesitating before finally following it up in a shy tone "I'm going to awaken my first element soon so I hope you are there" she said as Itachi couldn't stand the cuteness "Don't worry little Ling Ling, I will be there" he said happily as he heard her angry response "15 isn't little" she muttered before Itachi finally got her back on track
"As much as I would love to rush over back to China to wrap your cute little self up in a hug, I still need this guys information. He is a member of the Hunter's Union so as a Master Hunter you should have some details on him." he said while meanwhile on the other side of the phone, a maturing girl with beautiful brown hair arranged into long twintails turned a bit red "Who would want your stupid Hug Baka" she muttered to herself curling her hair around her fingers before remembering the second part so she opened up her laptop next to her bed.
Having clearance, she looked him up reading the information that came up. Pang Zhoulong, Super Tier mage researcher residing in Dubai. Rare ability to combine his Chaos and Shadow element to make fusion attacks. He is doing further research on interactions between elements.
After reading some other parts of information she found his address listed below which turned out to be the Burj Khalifia. "Not much of a surprise there since it is owned by the Hunters Union" she said before looking a bit more closely finding that the researcher lived in a large loft near the top.
She relayed all the information to the thankful Itachi who promised to visit soon. The sound of the phone hanging up sounded out as the young girl leaned back onto the comforter of her bed as she stared at the ceiling her golden colored irises watching the fan above her head spin as she let out a long exasperated sigh
"Why is he so annoying" she muttered as she couldn't help but rewatch the finals on tv where they zoomed in on him and Mu Ning Xue was fighting against each other making sure to remember every different ability Itachi had used. Even though Ling Ling had yet to awaken herself, she was one of the most knowledgeable hunters in China.
Traveling with her dad, one of the greatest hunters in the world until he died, gave her a wealth of experience, so it was no mistake to say that she would be an outstanding individual once she grew up. Her childhood made her an extreme adrenaline junkie who craved adventure. Her few years with Itachi were some of the best times of her life as they solved many cases during his time at the university.
When he first went missing, she was crestfallen using all of the resources at her disposal to try to find him. She found out instead of being attacked by a Monarch, he had killed a Monarch, and she had learned a few hints from others. She later received a call that filled her in with everything and she had knew the threat he faced due to the special ability he gained. Watching the figure of him fighting on the screen filled her with a resolution.
'Holy Court, your greed and despicable nature makes you unfit to stay in power. The Hunters Union has long despised you, and all it will take is a chance for us to rise up and take you down' she thought determinedly suddenly much more excited for her awakening coming up in a week for when she turned 16' After all, while connections may be good, personal strength is always the best.

A youth with spiky black hair walked down the brightly lit street with his arms behind his head as he took in the impressive sight of the city with appreciation on his face.
Although a quite change of the hair style is quite simple, it did the trick, and it would be rather bothersome if he had people asking for his autograph or something. He was quite famous worldwide since the University tournament is one of the most popular events in the world.
That said, the city was truly quite technologically advanced compared to others, and it is very scenic.
If he wasn't in such a rush he definitely would have taken a nice vacation with its many places to visit with famous places. It had some of the best magic auctions in the world with many treasures being previewed every day although he doubted they would be any use to him.
It's national strength was no joke either. Bordering the dangerous Rub Al Khali that was infested with many monster hordes they had very strong defenses with the Royal family Al Maktoum leading the country with their headquarters being in Dubai. Of course, Itachi was only interested in their branch of the Hunter Union where he planned to use a special tool that the scientist residing here is developing.
Even with his strong control, he had yet to have made any progress on fusing elements by himself so he concluded he needed the special tool manufactured by the scientist to help him with the synchronization. The true beauty behind it however, was as he practiced more, the easier he would be able to fuse eventually not even needing the tool at all.
Fusing the elements would increase his overall capabilities so their was no reason to ignore such an ability. Walking closer to the building he couldn't but smile a bit 'they are quite extravagant' he thought watching the beautiful 50 acre fountain that put the one back in Venice to shame. 'If only they let people swim in it' he though with a small smile
He came up to the Grand entrance with many High, and even Super Tier mages moving in and out 'not too surprising for one of the largest locations of a global organisation such as the Hunters Union' he thought with a wry smile as he made his way to the front desk which was being worked by a pretty brunnette lady who looked to be in her early twenties
"How can I help you sir" the blond lady said a bit bashfully seeing such a handsome man who had such a graceful aura
"I'm here to see Pang Zhoulong tell him a friend has the key to a his little science project" he said confidently while she looked a bit surprised at this not sure if this young man really had the qualifications to meet with such a high ranking member such as the director
"I will try" she said a bit hesitantly before contacting him
After a few moments, she turned to look at him with a bright smile "use the elevator on the left, it will take you up to see him" she said while Itachi quickly thanked her
He walked onto the elevator pretty content 'I guess he knew I was referring to his fusion research which he should be quite surprised about since it is confidential. It would be annoying if he refused to see me until I started revealing more information' he thought as the elevator finally stopped opening to reveal a nice looking hallway leading to a simple set of double doors.
There was a camera in the corner, and he had no doubt he was being watched so after waiting for a few seconds, the door opened revealing a man who looked to be in his mid fifties with salt and pepper colored hair regarding Itachi with a face full of suspicion
"Who are you and why are you here" he said while Itachi looked over his shoulder to see a beautiful blond girl who looked to be around Itachi's age peeking around the corner with an expression of curiosity.
Giving a little wave to the girl behind him he simply undid his hair coloring magic before saying "Names Mo Fan, and I'm very interested in fusion magic" he said with the girls eyes brightening while the man even looked at him more suspiciously "How did you even know about that Mo Fan or should I say Itachi of the American team" he said while Itachi looked at him calmly responding "I have my sources, but you should know I have no ill intent for you, in fact I want to help you"
He said getting a curious look from both of them "What do you know about it" he said wondering what he would offer
"I know you have been inventing a tool to help a magician fuse elements, but you can not get it to work on anyone besides yourself with your chaos and shadow element due to your special abilities, but I can make it work" he said confidently while the others looked at him in a bit of confusion
"How?" he responded a bit confused "It is going to take a long period of calibration to get exactly the right frequency required to fuse them together what could you help with?" he said since he had already been working trying to use his special ability to help being able to replicate it for other elements and people. It had a built in computer that was meant to help the fusion of two elements, but he knew they were still far away from completing their work.
"Just give it here I will show you" Itachi said and the scientist a bit confused brought over a wide black armband that Itachi slipped onto his arm with it covering his wrist. Their was a small control panel that was currently open as if he had been working on it.
"While you have been working to make it perfect, it is simply impossible without a large amount of trial and error for a given person" he said before following it up with "Their is simply no perfect formula for it. Different elements and people will require different configurations and a great amount of control to make it work, the only way is through someone personally gathering data through practical use to calibrate it" he said opening up the panel and messing
with a few of the magic circuit settings. Fusing magic elements was theoretically possible, but it would take an insane amount of control to prevent the energy from conflicting.
If one tried to combine elements it would only end up with something similar to an explosion often hurting the caster in the process, that's why mages were taught from day one to never try it.
"I may not be too familiar with this technology, but I have a few ideas for it" said Itachi making a few adjustments before experimentally casting magic with a small flame or tiny zap of lightning shooting out occasionally. The two others watched fascinated as the blond girl spoke for the first time "are you trying to find an equilibrium between the two?"
"Something like that" he said simply as he continued concentrating pouring the two separate magic energies inside the bracelet which almost served as a sort of magic container before releasing the magic, but it didn't seem to be working so far with irratic spurts of magic. It relies more on the user than the tool, and this would be surprisingly helpful. Their wasn't a shortcut and Itachi had to work on making the two elements more compatible with each other.
Instead of instantly letting him cast fusion magic like the two scientist it could actually be used as a training tool to allow someone to work on it.
The two watched stunned as in a mere minute after quite a few attempts, a flame shot out arcing with electricity putting a hole in the magically reinforced wall despite both elements being very low powered.
"And that is the power of fusion" Itachi said happily since after a short amount of time he managed to turn two relatively weak surges of elemental energy into an even stronger attack than it costed.
"Now mind you, it only took such a short amount of time because it was a very weak level, and I am already very familiar with both of these elements since I did a few experiments previously, If I wanted to turn this into something serious it would take quite a bit of time" he said while the they looked at him excitedly
"How did you do that so fast?" the scientist marveled a bit while Itachi ignoring the question made a proposal "How about you let me keep this while I practice with it, and in return you will get it back with the information from my progress with fusing elements" Itachi said since he knew that they would him to perfect the product. Then they would be able to achieve their goal of allowing people to instantly fusion magic.
"Yes, Of Course!" he exclaimed zealously "let me just see it real quick" he said taking it back as he ran back to his lab slamming the heavy reinforced door shut likely to examine the changes leaving Itachi alone with the blond haired girl.
She regarded him quite happily happy to see another so interested in fusion between elements "I never introduced myself, but you can call me Sakya" she said regarding him with a warm smile while on the other hand, he looked at her a bit cynically 'what a pretender' he thought although he had to admit, she had good intentions and she would be a useful ally.
"I never thought Gabriel of the Seven Archangels of the Holy Court would be interested in such an unorthodox type of magic" he said smirking a bit as he watched her expression change to shock as she looked at him with a bit of fear "How Did You Know That! she exclaimed while he thought to himself 'can't exactly say I read it in a light novel' he thought wryly before looking at her with a serious expression "I'm assuming the other Archangels don't know your here?" he said as she looked at him suspiciously trying to wonder what side he was on "No they would not be too happy" she finally replied trying to figure out his motive
"You already knew who I was. The Holy Court is after me because of a certain ability I have yet you did not react at all even looking quite happy after seeing me. I'm assuming you don't approve of the actions of a certain tyrant?" he said calmly
She looked at him for a few moments before audibly sighing "I guess I can somewhat trust you. I'm assuming since you seem to know so much you also know the current situation? Michael rules the others strictly eliminating anything that poses a threat to him. I don't approve of this and ever since he came into power 50 years ago there has been little progress in the magical community as a whole." she said which Itachi couldn't help agree with. Michael viewed himself as some sort of god who should run the world the way he seemed fit.
Their had been no new discoveries or inventions lately not considering the demon element which currently had Itachi being hunted for ironically.
She followed that up with "If he learned how close we were in fusing elements together, he would likely have both of us killed. He would simply claim it was some criminal organisation finding a scapegoat and even if the other powerful organisations knew, they could do nothing to stop it." she said a bit helplessly. As one of the youngest archangels in the organisation, despite being blessed with the Angel powers, she was still a bit weaker than the other Archangels.
Michael was simply a monster at the peak of human strength pushing the boundaries of forbidden tier farther each day. Ramiel was his right hand man also one of the strongest Forbidden Tier powerhouses in the world while the others also were obedient to him. Their headquarters in Italy called the Holy City was considered the safest place in the world with many powerful formations.
"How would you like to see Michael and his little following defeated?" Itachi said mischeviously once again startling the young archangel as she looked up at him in surprise "What do you mean?"
"I mean would you support me when its time to eliminate him" said Itachi while Gabriel immediately began shaking her head "It's impossible, even if we all banded up we couldn't match him"
Now it was Itachi's turn to shake his head "All I would need you to do is clean up the small fries, I will be the one to face him myself" he said while she looked at him like he was an idiot
"Your just a Super Tier mage. Even if you are probably the most talented mage in the world currently, it will take you tens of years to even have a chance at facing him. I'm sorry but its too much of a long shot" she said critically
"You would do well not to underestimate the power of the demon element" he pronounced with a wide grin that gave her a chill. Slowly a primordial aura locked onto her as some silver flames began creeping along Itachi's body giving Gabriel who was invincible within the Super Tier the feeling that she was a small mice in the gaze of an apex predator that could kill her at anytime. She began visibly shivering with her eyes widened before Itachi finally recalled it as stood there a bit shakily before finally coming to her senses "Wha-what was that?" she muttered fearfully staring at Itachi like he was a monster
"That, is the reason your little boss wants to find me so much" he said playfully flicking the girl on her forehead since she was acting so frightened
That seemed to do the trick as she yelped loudly before glaring at Itachi. As an unmatched entity in Super Tier, she could literally beat up a strong warrior rank beast barehanded, yet a single flick from Itachi made her entire forehead hurt. If it was a normal person that flick might have exploded their head
"What was that for?" she mutttered angrily while Itachi only mockingly looked at her
"You were being annoying, with the demon power I will be able to match up to Michael so can I count on your support in the future?" he said
Hearing his question she sighed "Yes I guess" that magic ability was truly frightening. She only wondered if it would be enough
After receiving confirmation they both exchanged numbers to keep in contact while the loud sound of the metal door opening sounded out revealing the scientist returning. Luckily Itachi shielded everything from the man through barriers, otherwise he would have heard their louder conversations along with feeling the power Itachi had given off earlier.
"See you two have gotten to know each other better" he said smiling "Sakya here is actually the student council president of the famous Ojos university. She had a real big interest in the fusion of elements which is how we originally met and she has been helping me ever since" he said proudly which only made Gabriel look away embarrassed while Itachi rolled his eyes
"Whatever just give me the device" he said lazily before putting it back on his wrist.
"It was nice meeting both of you, I still got some things to take care of. Talk to you later Sakya" he said winking at the end before walking to the deck of the balcony which confused them a bit before he jumped off with a stunning pair of lightning wings folding behind him as they hummed with energy.
In a streak of light he shot off almost instantly disappearing into the horizon which was quite the shock for both of them as the two stared out in amazement seeing a different type of magic used to make up wings to fly. It looked to be even faster than the normal should also.
He stared out into the sky for a minute before finally recovering from the spectacle. The researcher looked at his assistant with an eyebrow raised "Isn't it good to be young" he said with a smirk receiving a refused look in return. He followed that up with a smile on his face saying "I'm assuming he asked you out on a date?" he said causing the girl to roll her eyes a bit "If only it was that simple" she said before turning away moving down the hallway towards the exit "I'll come back around later" she said disappearing as the elevator doors closed

'Talk about a badass exit' Itachi thought with a content smile as he made the trip back to venice.
While he was in the air he felt himself receive a phone call as he quickly stopped pulling it out "What does she need right now?" he said a bit confused seeing it was his girlfriend calling
"Hello?" he picked it up to hear the sound of her crying and he instantly became alert "Whats wrong?" he thought scared for her safety
"My Dad h-he, He Got Taken!" she yelled out crying even harder while Itachi quickly sighed in relief 'so its nothing serious' he thought relieved before quickly consoling her like any good boyfriend should do
"Don't worry" he soothed, "we will find him eventually" he said currently wondering if he should take her on a date to Dubai since it was quite beautiful there
"It was the Mu clan, they said I need to give up the Ice bow otherwise they will kill him" she said a bit shakily as Itachi sighed internally
"Don't worry, we will go get him, I will be there in a minute" Itachi said to ease her worries. 'I haven't seen that old bastard in while' he thought remembering her annoying father who he didn't have the best history with. 'Maybe if I anger him enough, he will cough blood like one of those wuxia protagonists' he thought quite excitedly suddenly a lot more motivated to carry out this rescue mission. 'I guess beating up some pompous ancient clan will be an added bonus' he thought with a content look on his face. After all, how dare they try to harm his girlfriend. He should carry out Nine Familial Exterminations for that sin alone.
He hung up as he stared at the distant horizon with a grin on his face "This day just got a whole lot more interesting"
