Chapter 217: Chapter 217 - Proving himself

After seeing how serious his lawyer was, Eric decided to tell him the truth. As for Lai, he decided to ignore his presence.

"You don't remember your birth family?"

Eric shook his head. "I don't remember much before I was in that place… that man can do magic. I think he eased my mind."

Obviously, he couldn't tell them about him being an escapee system. So, he just brought up his usual excuse, memory loss.

"The ghost boy said that I have been living there only for three years or so. Before me he was one the one who was living in that room," Eric glanced at the ghost boy who was intently looking at the empty bowls in front of him.

'Is he hungry?' he gestured for his bowl.

The ghost boy nodded and licked his lips. Looking at him now, he resembled a cute hungry ghost. his mouth was watering so badly and his eyes were unfazed. He could not look at anything other than food.
