Chapter 6: 6. Chakra, the lifeline of shinobi
Soon after Minoto left to work, Kushina and Aiko were left in the house, Kushina and Aiko walked towards the garden at the back of the mansion and she began explaining to him about the basic steps to become a shinobi.
"The important thing for a shinobi is their chakra, it is something that is present in almost all living beings, and shinobi are people who can access that to perform justus and increase their ability beyond normal limits."
"Every individual can mold chakra by combining their physical energy and spiritual energy, the amount of chakra an individual has is dependent on this, you can increase these with the help of training.", she explained with a serious face.
"Ok , that is enough for now, you can ask Minato or Kakashi about specific stuff, I am not good at those ya know", she added.
"Now I Will teach you how to mold your chakra. As you are already able to sense chakra signatures, it should be easy for you." said kushina forming a seal with her hands and immediately Aiko could feel the chakra in her body increasing.
She stopped after a few seconds and told Aiko to try it, telling him that with practice shinobi are instantly able to mold chakra while using a technique.
Aiko followed her advice and formed a similar hand seal, and closed his eyes and felt some strange energy responding to his thoughts as he tried combining them, he once again heard a familiar system message.
'Ding! New skill chakra molding obtained, do you wish to learn it?

-no', he chose yes without hesitation.

Aiko was happy when he read the message but Kushina who was looking at him was shocked when he suddenly released chakra from his body, because the speed was too quick as it would take children a bit longer to mold chakra for the first time.
Aiko noticed that his stamina was reduced from 4 to 2 and stopped the process, opening his eyes.
"That was the quickest I have seen someone mold their chakra in the first try, ya know" praised Kushina with a smile.
"The more you practice the quicker and efficient you will become, now comes the important part, after a shinobi successfully molds chakra, he will use hand seals again to release techniques called as ninjutsu, based on one's nature affinity the types of ninjutsu used will also differ from person to person; I Have wind and water natured chakra and I can use ninjutsus in these two categories effectively." she said quickly, making a hand seal.
" wind release:air bullet" she called lightly and Aiko saw a wind sphere being spit from her mouth which made a fist sized hole on the tree to which it was aimed at.
"Wow, " said Aiko, feeling genuinely surprised.
Eager to try, Aiko made a similar hand seal and felt the chakra well up to his mouth making him feel a bit uncomfortable, once the chakra reached his mouth he recalled the technique he saw just now and spit the chakra out.
But, he was somewhat disappointed as all that came out was a small orb of chakra, which disappeared after flying 2 meters away from him.
This time kushina was shocked as it usually was impossible to replicate a technique just by seeing it once, not to mention if it was the first time performing ninjutsu, granted that this technique was the one of the most basic wind release techniques.
Looking at his disappointed face, Kushina felt it was a bit funny and walked over to him and knocked on his head,"One should first learn to control chakra before trying out ninjutsu, you might have got hurt or cause problems for others, ya know?" she berated him.
" I'm sorry" apologised Aiko honestly.
"It is rare for someone to succeed in releasing ninjutsu in their first try, ya know, just don't be so reckless" she added softly stroking his head.
"One of the special characteristics of our uzumaki clan is the large amount of chakra and life force giving us long lives" she said " but, not many of us remain now I think, you are the only uzumaki I have met after many years." she added bitterly.
"Our clan was well renowned for its sealing jutsu, it can be said that if uzumaki clan claims to be second in sealing jutsu then, nobody in the shinobi world would claim to be the first, but it also comes with its drawbacks, one the user has to have a large chakra reserve to carve and activate seals, second the user have to have good chakra control and knowledge about seals to deploy them correctly, a single mistake would render the whole seal unusable which makes it quite difficult to use in battle."
"If you decide to learn Fūinjutsu, it will not be easy , but as a surviving member of the uzumaki clan I hope you will continue the legacy" she said seriously.
"Adamantine sealing chains" she called out lightly and huge chains formed of chakra came out from her torso giving an oppressive feeling.
"This is my unique technique obtained by combining Fūinjutsu with my special chakra" she said releasing the technique, "so do you want to learn it, you may be able to create such techniques in the future" she added as if tempting him, because she knew how hard and arid it was to learn Fūinjutsu and her mentor Mito had also tric.., hmm 'motivated' her in a similar way when she was young.
Aiko felt something was off, but did not think much about it and nodded his head causing Kushina to smile.
"Here, these are the scrolls which has information regarding basic symbols and techniques of Fūinjutsu, once you study them, you can study advanced techniques in them" said Kushina guiding him to a large room in the basement covered with scrolls and pointed at a scroll shelf with at least 50 scrolls.
"You studied these many scrolls?" asked Aiko, looking at her suspiciously.
"Of..course, I have studied the scrolls, ya know, what do you think about me, you brat?" she said, her face going pink as she knocked his head. 'though only scrolls related to sealing of kyuubi', she added in her mind.
Aiko looking at her face rubbed his head feeling speechless and turned towards the scroll, he wondered how he was going to finish it, thinking that he had brought it upon himself, he sighed and picked up the closest scroll.
It was only after opening the scroll, did he realise that he was unable to understand what was written.
