Chapter 2: First Day

"Akuma you're up." Aizawa said as he tossed the teen a ball, "Throw it as far as you can."

"Simply enough." Akuma said as he looked at the ball with his usual stoic expression and he cocked his arm back. Everyone except Aizawa was shocked as he put enough force behind the throw to destroy the ground around him and the ball rocketed out of sight.

"Infinite." Aizawa told everyone as Akuma turned to face them and he walked back to the group, "For those of you wondering in order to achieve infinite you would have to throw it out of the atmosphere. So try to go plus ultra and beat him."

"Hm." Akuma sighed as Aizawa put a target on his back and he knew why. If the others strive to beat him then their training would make their skills skyrocket. The rest of the tests went as Akuma expected and by the end Aizawa decided not to expell them. Akuma looked over his shoulder and saw All Might staring at Izuku intently.

"That was crazy Akuma!" Kirishima yelled as he and a few other students walked up to him but he turned away from them and headed back inside to go home, "That dude is seriously cold."

"Akuma." Aizawa stopped him before he went inside, "Why did you join the Hero Course?"

"That's a difficult question to answer." Akuma told him as he looked at the sky, "Why did I join? I decided that protecting those who can't protect themselves would give me purpose and it's better to use my strength to do so rather than watching someone get hurt because I wouldn't."

"So protecting people is worth more than your own life?" Aizawa asked with a serious tone, "Aren't you a bit young to be thinking like that?"

"I've had to fight for survival for a long time so it really isn't any different than what I'm used to." Akuma admitted and Aizawa was surprised by that information, "I know what it feels like to need help and having to help myself. If I have the power to save people from that same dread why shouldn't I?"

"Well you did good today. Go home and get some rest." Aizawa told him as he went inside and Akuma saw Izuku looking at him with concern.

"If you learn to control that power then come talk to me." Akuma said as he began to walk inside, "Having power and knowing how to use it is a difference we both understand."

"The difference between having power and knowing how to use it." Izuku muttered as he put his hand on his chin, "Does he know that my quirk wasn't originally mine? Is his quirk the same way or does he know that my body can't handle One For All yet?"

"I wonder if that girl will help create something to keep me from going overboard? Did she even get into the school?" Akuma asked himself after he made it back to the classroom, "I'm sure if she did they put her somewhere she could freely work."

"What are you standing around for?" Aizawa asked as he stood from his desk and Akuma noticed he was the only student still there.

"Did that girl from the Entrance Exam get in?" Akuma asked knowing that Aizawa had watched over the exam, "I need her to make something for me."

"The school put her in Class H-1 in the Support Department but the companies responsible for your hero outfit should be able to properly handle your request." Aizawa explained with a confused look, "I'm sure they have better resources."

"Yeah but she's an obvious genius when it comes to inventions. Though she doesn't seem to grasp danger too well." Akuma said as he finished packing his bag and went to find Class H-1. He realized he should have asked where it was when it took him way too long to find the classroom and when he opened the door he saw the upper half of an armored suit spinning out of control on a workbench.

"Maybe I put too much torque on it." Mei said as she examined it closely and Akuma noticed it begin to spark. The teacher tried to run over to her but it was too late as it exploded and filled the room with smoke. When it cleared he saw that Akuma was holding Mei closely with his back to the remains of the armored suit.

"Are you ok kid?!" He yelled as he ran over to them in a panic but calmed down when he noticed only the back of Akuma's uniform jacket had been destroyed, "Mei you need to be more careful! If he hadn't showed up you would have been seriously hurt."

"You're becoming a real knight in shining armor you know that?" Mei said as Akuma dusted himself off, "Now tell me how you did all that cool stuff at the exam! What did you use to pull that off?!"

"If I tell you will you make me a hero costume that can't be destroyed easily?" Akuma asked her and she shook her head faster than he thought was possible, "I don't use anything like your 'Babies' to do any of it. I- what are you doing?"

"I'm checking your muscles and body structure so I can make a costume that fits." Mei said as she ran her hands over his body and he looked at the teacher with confusion but he just shook his head, "I can't find a single weak spot anywhere on you. You don't seem to have a hardening quirk but it's like you're constantly on the defensive."

"My body can't really be compared to others." Akuma explained with a sigh as she lifted his arm up, "Are you trying to find some sort of tech on me?"

"That may be the case." Mei admitted as she looked at his back, "You don't have a scratch on you from that explosion! Wait what's this small scar above your waist?"

"Hatsume stop harassing the guy." The teacher scolded as he noticed the concerned look on Akuma's face as she ran her hand across his back and she backed away from him, "What exactly are you looking for in a costume?"

"It needs to be durable enough to prevent any damage I may cause to it on accident. Normal clothes can't even handle explosions like the one from earlier and I typically put out way more force than that." Akuma explained as his stoic expression returned and they both saw Mei digging through a pile of equipment. She handed him a red and black coat with a hood and matching pants, "Aren't these just normal clothes?"

"Go put them on and you tell me!" Mei said with an overly excited tone and Akuma went to the restroom to change. He looked in the mirror to see how he looked and smirked before returning to the classroom.

"It looks good but what does it do?" Akuma asked as he narrowed his eyes, "I know it does something since you made it."

"Watch this." Mei told him as she punched the center of his chest and the clothes immediately became tighter, "If you take an impact anywhere on your body while wearing that costume it becomes defensive and tightens your muscles similar to the way boxers used to wrapped their hands to keep them from breaking. On top of that the fabric is extremely durable but also free forming so it won't limit your movements. It even has shock absorption and it's as strong as ballistic armor!"

"Will it explode?" Akuma asked the teacher to get confirmation that it was safe to wear. The teacher sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't see how it could but Mei always surprises me." He explained as Mei gave Akuma a thumbs up and Akuma began to punch the air to test how well it could work in a fight.

"Also put these on!" Mei yelled as she pulled out two black gloves and handed them to Akuma, "The electronics inside gauge the impact of your punches and will help prevent you from hitting someone too hard."

"Alright." Akuma said as he slid them on and looked at them curiously. He opened and closed his hands a few times and they began to glow. Akuma quickly turned his back to them and pulled his hands to his chest as the gloves exploded, once again filling the room with smoke. When it cleared they saw that Akuma was fine and the costume managed to survive the explosion with no visible damage.

"Can you get this costume passed to me without anyone saying I can't wear it?" Akuma asked the teacher and he gave him a thumbs up.

"I'll do what I can." The teacher said with confidence and Akuma went to change into what was left of his school uniform. He said his goodbyes and went home for the day. By the time he got to the apartment building it was already dark so he quickly ran up to his home and saw that the door was already unlocked. He walked in slowly with an energy ball in his hand.

"I was starting to wonder if you were ever coming home Akuma." Akuma heard in a dark part of his apartment and a man with a life support mask cleared his throat. Akuma saw All for One sitting on a chair in a dark corner.

"Why are you here?" Akuma asked in a calm but irritated tone, "You don't even show yourself to the others."

"Well my son got into the prestigious U.A. High and I wanted to congratulate you personally." All for One explained as he stood up and Akuma took a defensive step back, "I'm not here to fight you my boy but I would like for you to not interfere with Shigaraki's plans."

"If they don't involve me then I don't care." Akuma said as he stood up straight with his usual stoic face.

"I also heard that you've become acquainted with a girl named Mei Hatsume." All for One said with a laugh and he felt the air get heavier as Akuma's power rose.

"You stay the hell away from her." Akuma told him with venom in his words and All for One knew he hit a nerve, "It would be a very bad idea."

"I have no plans to harm her. It would only cause strife for the both of us and it's unnecessary." All for One explained as he walked to the door, "I'll be taking my leave now. Congratulations on making it into U.A. Akuma."

"Don't come back here." Akuma said as All for One shut the door. He heard All for One teleport away and he went to his to sleep.
