Chapter 34: Kaihō suru
Fourth "He really did me good with those arrows, it's actually starting to hurt even more than before." he mumbles out loud.
Hoseki "Quiet back there before I come back there and make you."
Fourth "What are you going to do use your abilities to injury me, need I remind you of my special ability that I have."
Hoseki turns around to face Fourth.
Hoseki "It can't be true."
Sun "What reason can none of this be true? What are you on about Hoseki?"
Hoseki "That is only meant to be a rumor. Nothing more. You are bluffing right now."
Fourth " If that's what you think, then, by all means, go right ahead and injury me more. "
Sun "What rumor?
Asuta " The rumor of Kaihō suru spell."
Hoseki "How do you know about that?"
Asuta "You think you're the only one who knows what goes on behind closed doors."
Hoseki "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
Austa "I'm pretty sure you know."
Fourth "That so-called rumor you two heard of. Its the truth. I know everything there is about the Kaihō suru spell. "
Hoseki "Impossible. It's only a rumor...A rumor you hear!" Hoseki's voices raise a bit as he clenches his fists tightly together. He nails digging into the palms of his hands the angrier he gets.
Fourth "Do you believe me to be lying or is it that you believe that it's a rumor, then I shall not speak another word of it. Because what is the point in discussing something that is not true? Just say the word, Hoseki."
Fourth glances up at Hoseki, knowing all too well as to what Hoseki will do.
Hoseki raises his hand to Fourths face. "You dare tell me what to think!"
Fourth "Here it comes just what I wanted." He says to himself.
Hoseki "You'll make a fool out of me, no more!"
Sun "Hoseki wait...!!" Before Sun could finish her sentence it was too late.
Hoseki "I've told you countless times, you will never win against me! Crystal Magic: Onyx blow!"
A cloud of dark mist appears in front of Fourth. The mist starts to form itself around into different shapes, pushing and pulling in opposite directions.
Fourth "This is it, the ability Asuta had mentioned. Now she'll be ready."
Hoseki "Something isn't right here. My ability should not be doing that! What is going on here?!"
Asuta "Hoseki, you think I don't know you well enough."
Hoseki "Don't taunt me, with your meaningless words!"
Sun "Hoseki, I tried to tell you to wait."
Hoseki starts to clench his fists again with his nails digging in sharper into his palms, this time blood trickles down his wrists. "I demand to know what is going on!"
Asuta "It was only a matter of time before you used your onyx blow ability, I just had to wait for the perfect moment. "
Hoseki "My onyx blow is indestructible, you act as if you can defeat it and me."
Austa "I don't think I can defeat you but I can trap you momentarily."
Hoseki "A trap?! You make me laugh. Stop all this nonsense and I might think about letting you live. Don't and I'll kill you as I did to that sweet young boy of yours. You should have seen his eyes so pitiful. I earned for more, it was music to my ears listening to him cry. Can you hear it Austa? Your boy, he's calling for his mommy. "Mommy, help me, please help me, mommy!" I'll make you remember that."
Asuta "Do your worst."
Hoseki takes a step forward then stops, his body begins to move on its own, forming into a tight ball while a sticky substance wraps itself around him.
Hoseki "What?! what is this?!" He mumbled as the substance grips itself around his mouth. "Sun! Sun? Come here and get me out!"
Sun looks over at Fourth and Asuta, she can see the determination and anger in her sister's face. This isn't the person she knew. She's changed. "I'm changing," she says to herself, looking back at Hoseki. "I can't understand you." She turns her back towards Hoseki and walks the other way. "If I stay, it' won't do any difference. This is something she needs to do on her own. She will show him more kindness than I would if I were her. Maybe one day I will atone for what I have done, but now is not the time."
Hoseki "Sun! Sun, get back....!" The substance had finally made its way all over Hoseki's whole body.
Fourth "It looks like you're too late. Do you recall the incident in which Asuta had fallen on to you? Sorry, what was that again I can't hear you. You need to speak louder, oh wait. Well, Asuta here planted a tiny seed onto your shirt when she grabbed it earlier."
Asuta "That seed was my Plant magic: Venus human trap. It only works when another user uses an ability in a close range of another person, as well as feeds off the anger of the other. The timing wasn't right during the other times and unfortunately, you happened to use abilities that were not in my reach. But what this lacks in range it makes up for in power."
Fourth "From what I can recall Austa ability here as shown traps the individual in an invisible Venus flytrap or this case a Venus human trap. How do you ask? Well, it first forms itself around the person's spell, changing how it looks, and then since the spell in the person is connected, what is done to the spell is done to the user."
Asuta "I can no longer bear witness to this anymore. I honestly believed you could change, but you've shown me no difference. You're still the monster who killed my son and you always will be. " She says to herself. "You got too cocky Hoseki. Now, who's the one being looked down upon?"
