Chapter 1: (Becoming the Ellcrys. )
Chapter one:
Young Fira ran through the meadow as her melodic laughter echoed in the air, her older brother Allanon chased behind her.
Fira, please we must go the eleven magician's have requested our presence. He impatiently stomped his foot on the ground as he spoke.
Allanon, please these are probably the last months we have together before you go off to train, young Fira looked down to the ground trying not to let her tear fall because she knew she wasn't going to see him again, Fira was to be the Ellcrys, the protector of the four lands, the thing that kept the creatures of the world safe from the demons.
Fira, don't be ridiculous I'll visit plenty. Her brother cooed her wrapping her in his embrace, she let a tear slip.
Fira, what's wrong? Allanon asked her.
You won't see me again Allanon, I was chosen to be the guardian of the Ellcrys... and I might never see you again. She whimpered as she clung on.
What, how could father allow this you are only a child. Allanon yelled furiously.
I'm not a child... I'm 19 years old... and it wasn't his decision, I was chosen... Fira told him.
When will the ceremony happen? Allanon asked her.
Tonight, but please let's not think about it, you'll be leaving soon and I want to enjoy what might be our last day together. Fira said quietly.
Allanon grabbed her and hugged her as though his life depended on it.
Allanon: I will always love you sister. Always and forever.
