Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Who's my Dad?
3 years later.
One thing you guys shoulds know about my Mom is that she is a successful business woman. Being successful means she rich. Filthy rich.
After my father left it was only me and my mother. She took care of me when she can, but because of her job she's always busy. I know she tries her best to be a good parent so I tried my hardest and be a good son and behave my best, when she's around.
So I also tried to make her proud at the age of two I can speak whole sentences easily, solve elementary problems at the age of 3, being responsible enough to clean my own room and I started reading for hours and days to cure my dyslexia, it was worth it. Sadly I cant do anything about my ADHD.
I also never asked her who my father is. I know she will tell me when she wants or needs to.
My mother wasn't that suprise when I can do all those stuff easily. I guess she just thought it was because I was a demigod. But even then she showed me that she was proud of me.
When she's not here she hires babysitters. 3 of them in fact, 3 women in there late 50s. There names were Alec, Meg and Tisi. Weird names I know. But even in old age they were able to keep up with me when I'm playing or running around.
Though not always do all of them take care of me. Sometimes its only Alec or sometimes only both Meg and Tisi take care of me. When I asked why they said problems back home and I should not be worried about them leaving no room for discussion.
When we always go to the park my babysitters becomes very vigilant for reasons unknown to me. Maybe because when I play outside sometimes weird things happens. Like when a man with one eye tried to get close to me but was stopped by Alec and I was surrounded by Meg and Tisi, like they were trying to protect me. They quarreled a bit before the one eyed man left grumbling about 'stupid Kindlies' his words not mine.
I asked them why the man only had one eye. They said I was only seeing things because I was tired from playing all day. I was not.
I did see them throwing nervous looks to each other when they thought I wasn't looking.
From then on weird things keep happening like gems coming out from where I walk, I think I saw a diamond but for some reason I know all of them were cursed or when I see see through people no one notices but me. Seeing dogs the size of a truck or girls with wings flying in the sky.
I tried to chalk it up to me having an over active imagination. But I know I'm not. Its because of who my father is and what I am. The son of Hades. The Rich One. Lord of the Dead.
So one day when my mom was home talking with my babysitters I drop the bomb on them.
"Is my father Hades?" I said
This shocked them greatly from what I could see from their faces. I would have laugh at how stupid they look with how their mouths were hanging open.
But then my mother started crying.
I'm telling you this right now, I don't know what to do when a woman starts crying infront of me. So I did what I thought was natural. I hugged my mother. Specifically my mothers legs, why? Because I'm a toddler that means I'm short.
"I'm sorry." Was the only thing I could say.
Hers sobbing because less and less until it stopped. My babysitters was just there frozen with disbelief.
"How did you know?" My mother softly asked.
"I see monsters, ghost and can grow gems from the ground I walk on. Putting all that together I guessed it was Hades and judging from your reactions I guess I was right."
My babysitters reactions were priceless.
My mother just laughed?
"You truly are a smart boy." She said with a smile while patting my head.
"So what happens now?" I asked.
"Nothing." She said
"Nothing?" I asked again unsure of what to say.
"Yes nothing. Even with you knowing who your father is it doesn't change the fact that you're my son and that I love you very much." She said while hugging me tightly.
I didn't know what to do so I just hugged her back.
After that she told me the real identities of my babysitters and that my father sent them hear to take care and protect us, secretly of course.
After that the Furies, which they told me are their real identities, taught me everything I need to know about being a demigod and greek mythology so that I may be prepared of what's to come.
1 year later 4 years old
This year on my birthday I unlocked future sight yey!
Just like my mom said nothing changed. Well only the fact that I will be starting to go to school. I cant believe I'm saying this but I'm excited to go to school even if its only daycare.
As mom was dropping me of.
"Do your best out there and behave okay?" she said to me with a stern look.
"Okay!" I said while nodding.
She kissed me in the forehead and said.
"Yell for help or tell the teachers when you see or notice anything unnatural, okay?" She said quietly.
I just nodded.
"See you later. I'll come pick you up when school is over." With that she waved goodbye as I entered the classroom.
