Chapter 2: Chapter 1

Time keeps ticking, and my world shifts from blur to clarity. Baby steps turn into real strides, and every day is a discovery. I'm a pro at crawling and standing, and my toys are like old friends now. But as I explore, I'm starting to realize something – this world isn't just home to Franklin, Rosa, and me. It's packed with stuff, people, stories.

I'm sitting cross-legged on the floor, fixated on this weird, boxy thing – the TV. This special marvel of entertainment can be found in any American house of the 2000. Giving me clarity and more clues for the future. My eyes are glued to the screen, absorbing colors, shapes, and sounds.

And then, it hits me. The show on the screen a documentary features a guy in red, white, and blue suit– Captain America. He's doing incredible stuff, saving people and taking down nazis. It's like the comics my old world used to have, but... real. A real-life superhero.

Questions churn in my head, that range from good and bad. Those questions turn into a deep sense of urgency.

I shuffle to the kitchen, where Franklin's tinkering with an old radio. "Hey, Dad, are superheroes... real?"

He chuckles. "Yeah, kiddo, they sure are. The Captain was the first and I hope he wasn't the last."

I'm gripping my trusty toy hammer tightly, my voice small. "What about do bad guys"

He straightens up, puzzled. "Well, I guess anyone could be a hero or villain. It all depends how people are raised"

I nod slowly, lost in thought. "And... and what if someone tries to hurt our family?"

Franklin looks at me, concern in his eyes. "Where'd that come from, champ?"

I shrug, staring down at my bear. "Just wondering."

He ruffles my hair. "Don't worry, kiddo. We're safe here. No one's gonna hurt us."

I nod again, a little relieved. But my mind keeps whirring. If there's danger out there, and if this is tea the MCU any number weird messed thing's can happen at a moment's notice. Especially that we live so close to New York City. The last thing I want is the ugly goons from space crash land on my swing set.

As I grow older for some alien reason I am growing faster and stronger. I can see things better and hear a birds flying thousands of feet in the air. At first it freaked me the fook out, and hearing your neighbors have sex. While your trying to sleep is a tiny bit frustrating.

It's pretty dam cool if I say so myself, being able to pick up the fridge to get those pesky pucks I chuck around the house. Is essential to keeping cost down. No need to have my parents buy new toys if I can find through these nifty powers.

Years have flown by, and school's become like second nature to me. I breeze through assignments, soak up every bit of knowledge like a sponge. I'm not bragging, but this stuff isn't new to me. It's like déjà vu in every classroom. But it's not about showing off – it's about being prepared.

In between classes and homework, I've been secretly training. Not bench-pressing cars or anything, but honing these powers that have been bubbling beneath the surface. Strength, speed, whooshing winds – I'm getting a grip on them, even though I'm still not quite sure what they are.

Then, that one day happens. I'm on the street, watching a commotion unfold. People are yelling, horns are blaring, and a car's about to crash. Reflex kicks in, and suddenly, it's like my eyes have a mind of their own. Red beams shoot out, scorching the ground, missing the car by inches.

My heart pounds as I see what I've done. The ground's smoldering, and the car skids to a stop, smoke rising from the asphalt. People are staring, and my mind's racing. What... what just happened?

A teacher from my school, Mr. Diaz, rushes over, eyes wide. "Jason, are you okay?"

I nod, my voice shaky. "I... I think so."

He looks at the scorched ground, then at me. "Did you... did you do that?"

I gulp, my throat dry. "I... I don't know."

It's like the penny's finally dropped. Those powers, those weird things I've been messing with – they're like Kryptonian abilities. Superman stuff. My heart's racing, my mind spinning. How... how do I control this? How do I not hurt anyone?

Mr. Diaz pats my shoulder, his voice gentle. "You've got something special, kid. But with great power..."

I finish it for him. "...comes great responsibility."

The accident's cleared, people move on, but my world's shifted. I'm not invincible, not untouchable. My powers aren't just a party trick – they're serious, and they can cause harm. It's like I've stepped into a new level of the game, and the stakes have gone way up.

From that day on, I dive into my studies, my training, with a new focus. Knowledge becomes my weapon, control becomes my goal. I won't let my powers control me, won't let them hurt others. And as I grow wiser, I understand that being a hero isn't just about powers or punching bad guys. It's about choices, about knowing when to act and when to hold back.

So, I keep learning, keep training, one step at a time. Because I've got a lot to protect – my family, my world. And when the time comes, I'll be ready. Ready to be the hero this new world needs.
