Prologue
During an age of great despair and loss, the dark ages as it would be known, stood the Dark Lord, Husk. With the ability to steal the souls of the weak and turn their soulless corpses into zombie-like husks of their former selves. Husk brought the four Realms to their knees.
With this power over the souls of the weak. The Dark Lord deftly pushed the Angels and Demons from their home Realms and into the Realm occupied by Humanity. Pushing even further he wanted nothing more than life's pure extinction. There was no negotiating with this Dark Lord, no chance for peace, only war, only his one desire, death...
When the Dark Lord's forces overran the defences Angels and Demons had put in place to protect their respective people. The two races departed from their home Realms in a mass exodus, the Angels Realm of the Sky and the Demons Realm. Making their way into the Realm occupied by Humanity. By the time the two races arrived into the Realm of Humanity, they would find that the Husk Lord's extermination of the Human race had already begun.
The Angels and Demons sought refuge with the remnants of Humanity who had sought their own refuge in a heavily fortified city that had allowed the Humans time to catch their breath. Needless to say, the Humans were more than accepting of the power the two races brought to the table.
The three race's lived a life of hardship, losing every battle against the Dark Lord and his forces. After
After a war that spanned many lifetimes, a single man and his two closest allies rose up to lead the Realm's remaining forces to push the Dark Lord and his forces into the Realm of Limbo. In the end, the three heroes' gambit paid off. Sealing themselves and the Dark Lord within Limbo, the Dark Lord's forces would become directionless now cut off from their master.
The trio of heroes became known as the First Three due to the titles they bore over the course of the twilight years of the war.
The man would become known as the First King of all. His two friends and closest confidants, an Angel and a Demon were crowned the First Demon King and Angel Queen respectively.
After the Dark Lord's remaining forces were slain and all was said and done. Now no longer needing to stay cooped up within the walls of the last city, they returned to the world that had been kept from them for so long.
The Angels returned to their citadels within the Realm of the Sky.
The Demon's left for their abandoned kingdoms within the Realm of the Deep.
But Humanity became split between two Realms.
A portion of the surviving Humans left the last city, for the Realm of Magicka where mana and magical creatures were abundant.
The other Humans would remain behind within the Realm that became known as the Realm of Technology as they made incredible bounds in their technological might.
As the days turned to weeks and the years turned to years, the tears the Dark Lord had made between these four Realms began to close as the Realms healed themselves. Although the Angel's and Demon's created devices that would allow for their own travel between the four worlds.
Two hundred thousand years later. The sacrifice of the First Three became forgotten, only remembered in bedtime stories and old wives tales...
But now, forces behind the scenes are moving anew. The foundries of the Deep have been ignited with a new war on the horizon, the gates of the Sky have been reinforced.
It was once told that the union between two of the strongest races in all of the Realms would either bring the Angel's and Demon's great calamity or it could bring peace to the two factions who over the years had begun to war against each other.
This creature was the offspring of an Angel and a Demon, this creature was known as.
The Nephalem.
