Chapter 2: Chapter 2
After receiving the news about the secret attack planned by the kingdom of Geth, King Lancelot gathered a small troop of his soldiers to attack the warriors that lay in ambush. He made the marksmen stand in positions at the peak of the Castle armed and ready to fire any thing outside the Castle that's not in a Vojan uniform. The warriors of Geth saw them approaching and were scared. They blew their cover and started to retreat. But before they could run far, the marksmen released fire, bringing down every single warrior of Geth. No survival was left. The Vojan marksmen even went to the extent of killing a deer nearby. This action made the King and the soldiers with him laugh. " Well-done" , the king shouted knowing fully well that they couldn't hear him from that height.
After every successful attack, the King was always sure to throw a feast to celebrate victory. During these feast, there would be plenty of food to go round three times for everybody. Its a feast that excites the people greatly. During these feast, intoxicating wines are served through out the Kingdom to who ever is willing to drink. By this time, the people of Voja has long forgotten about the Panda god and his laws. They did a lot of way ward things, anything that pleases them.. Adultery, stealing and any other immoral act you can think of, all took place in the kingdom of Voja. They forgot about everything the Panda god has done for them. The victorious battles, fertile grounds, the peace and happiness he brought to them. They forgot everything and whenever someone mentions the Panda god, they call him a fairy tale.

" Jason, what's that you are holding". " Nothing mum", Jason replied. Jason is the son of Martha and Larry. Unlike the other Vojan's, this family were believers. They still believed in the Panda god. They worshipped him in secret and still obeyed his laws.Larry was a solider of the Vojan army. He died few weeks after Jason was born. Around the time of Jason's birth, the kingdom of Voja were at war with the Kingdom of Exhul. Exhul is a very powerful nation, almost as strong as Voja. The battle with Exhuls was the fiercest battle the Vojan's ever encountered. There was a lot of killing and blood shed. Many lives were lost during that battle. About half of the Vojan kingdom was destroyed in the battle. It was the first of its kind.
Ever since Larry died, Martha has been striving to survive. Trying to take care of herself and Jason. It was a very difficult time for her. " Your father died a hero", she would always say whenever Jason asked of his father. " Don't worry mum, when I grow up I'll be a solider just like my daddy and fight against the Exhuls". She would smile but cry in her heart when she hears the innocent words of her little boy. He was all she had. She admires his desires to follow his father's footsteps but loved him too much. She didn't want to lose him the way she loosed her husband. " Why don't you be a Physician instead?". " Physicians don't fight war mum ", he would often reply. " I want to be a soldier so I can keep every Vojan safe from harm.
" Why are you not answering?" "Give me the cup, Jason", she shouted, forcefully collecting the cup from him. She brought the cup close to her nose trying to figure out the substance it contains. It was an intoxicating drink. The kind of drink that drives even adults crazy. She asked were he got the drink from but the would not answer. " Who in Panda's name gave from this to you?". " Answer me!", she screamed as she raised her hand, ready to slap him hard across the face. " Nathaniel", he replied back hastingly, trying to avoid the wrath of the mother. " Nathaniel?", I thought I told you to stay away from him. " He will bring you no good Jason". Nathaniel is his best and only friend. Despite Nathaniel being an unholy Vojan, he was the only person who didn't find Jason weird for been a believer of the Panda god.
" I'm sorry mum". Jason apologized. " "I know it's hard but you have stay away from him. I don't want you be influenced by the unholy". Martha hurridedly disposed off the drink. She didn't want anyone to realize what she was holding. "I'm going to the market, we are short of supplies. Would you like me to get you anything?". Jason, still in a sad mood didn't say anything. He just shook his head. " No".
