Chapter 30: Awakened
" Where am I? "
In the midst of sleeping, Kane slightly regained back his conscious.
He was currently overwhelmed by dark, he felt like he was floating inside a dark color environment. Yet, there was no feeling of fear and lone in his heart, instead of feeling warm and comfortable.
The green flashy light wrapped his entire body and nourished his soul. His face returned back to normal color day after day, he has already pulled away from his doom.
It took a long time for him to regain back his life energy, a bit and a bit until the energy was enough to allow him to stay alive. At the same time, the spiritual energy absorbed by the plant transported inside the plant to Kane.
The soul grew stronger and his soul sea became wider. His body's muscles became stronger, the toughness was far a normal warrior could compete with.
Just regaining back his conscious for a short time, Kane returned to quite again. He had no idea how long the time had already flown upon the time he fell asleep, even didn't know what had happened in the world outside the cave.
One thing for sure, he needed a longer time to gain back his life energy. Fortunately, at the time of regaining back life energy, the plant kept absorbing the spiritual energy and helped him cultivated even he had completely lost his conscious.
The plant still flourished in the cave, it grew with astonishing speed initially but no more growing in height when the plant reached a certain height.
Day after day, week after week and year after year… Time flew with a blink.

Crack!
The cracking sound was produced and echoed in the cave, a hole appeared at one side of the roots. If taking a closer look on that plant, a punch penetrated through the roots which had
the hardness of steel.
The plant was not flourishing as always, the leaves withered and fell off to the ground. The stem shrunk and became very thin, didn't have the hardness as before. The plant just seemed like a plant that had reached its time of death.
At that moment, more and more punched kept hitting on all directions inside the roots. The far more cracking sound echoed in the cave, the sound would probably make others feel that the cave was going to collapse in no time.
Pong!
Eventually, the plant fell down and a figure jumped out from the plant.
" Err... Ah.... ! " The young man made a long and loud scream. He had been closed in a small area for a long time, he finally escaped from it and wanted to release those stress by his scream.
His sound was fierce and strong to the point could be heard from a far distance from the cave. The little birds which played around the cave immediately bite their wings and escaped from the scene, as the roar gave them too much pressure and tension.
The beasts in the forest lower their heads upon hearing the roar, they just looked like those servers who were waiting for the command from their king. For the weaker animal, they were full of scared from that roar and quickly found a hole to hide themselves.
After a long scream, Kane was cold down and returned to normal. He then stomped on the ground and jumped up to touch the top of the cave. There was roughly a distance twenty feet from the ground, yet Kane could touch it easily.
Later, after landing off on the ground, he exercised his whole body for warming up. Due to a long time he was being immobilized, he found his entire body was stiff to move.
Taking a few seconds to stretch his whole body, he then walked to the outside of the cave. Although he just walked leisurely with slow movement but his speed was very fast.
Kane himself even how much strength both of his legs possessed, the Golden Mush Fruit surely had cleaned his bone and discard all those toxins from his bone, this will allow him to cultivate fluently in the future.
The fruit kept destroying his muscle and grew back, this repetitive process made his strong and powerful muscle, thus he could even break the roots with steel hardness.
Kane didn't look thin and weak anymore, the cloth wore by him was fit now. Those cloths was given by John to him, he found the clothes very loose for him previously. This because he was thin and had a smaller body size than John.
A gust of spring wind blew in his face, his long hair danced with the winds as well. Because of a long time falling asleep, his hair grew long and even little beard appeared around his mouth.
Kane was staring aimlessly and blankly to the front, his eyes were full of puzzles and the surrounding became unfamiliar to him.
" Who am I? "
" And... where am I?"
Kane just awakened from a long sleep, his memories were shattered to many small pieces. This surely took him some time those puzzle into a whole picture again.
" My head! " Kane suddenly felt an intense headache, he could tell that something was squeezing into his head. Some of the blurred memories became clear.
" I remember now! I am Kane, I was heavily injured a long time ago and I thought that I was going to die at that time. But... How can I still survive? Why was I fall asleep? "
Kane just remembered some information before falling asleep, but many of his memory was still missing in his head.
" And... Who was the one saved my life? " Kane had no idea about the person who saved him before.
Kane helplessly took a long sighed and shook his head, he understood that he lost his conscious for a too long time. What he needed the most was time to allow him to regain back his lost memories.
" If I am not mistaken, I am from a village nearby. Maybe I needed to return back and ask the villagers about myself. With those people and scenes, it surely can stimulate my brain to clear all the puzzled memories. "
Kane had forgotten the direction, he tried to figure out which direction led him back to the village.
" Er... Maybe that way. " For his instinct, the path he pointed out was familiar by him. That feeling told him that the path was the right one, he certainly could go back to the village by walking that path.
After deciding the direction, he started to move on without any hesitation.
Just after walking for a few steps, all of a sudden, a sound could be heard by his ears from behind.
The sound was echoed as if something was moving in a very high speed, pressure even could even be felt from that moving thing.
Kane's sharp instinct quickly made him reflex to the scene. He turned around his head to the direction of the sound.
He found that an arrow was just around the corner, it nearly to reach his neck part.
