Chapter 30: Parents’ Reaction

How should she tell her parents about her marriage?

It was so sudden and they were getting married so quickly. She wondered what they would think.

Annie, who was lost in thought, heard her phone ring.

Anita pulled out her phone and saw that it was Owen's father, Mr. Jacob.

"Miss Anita, I'm sorry to disturb you so late," Mr. Jacob spoke first.

"It's okay," Anita said quickly.

"I heard Owen say the day before yesterday that you two were going to get married. My wife and I were really excited. It's really awesome that you and Owen are together." Jacob expressed his joy directly.

Anita started to feel bad when she heard Jacob say that. She could feel that Mr. Jacob was really happy, but after all, she and Owen were just in a contracted marriage.

But they really liked her. She wondered how sad they would be when they found out the truth in the future.
