Chapter 14: Big Mistake

The journey to the mansion took him about 40 minutes, so he had 20 minutes left before the announcement and he needed a shower.

There wasn't anyone outside as this was still early in the afternoon with most of them being either in their room or the underground training arena.

Oh! Forgot to mention that.

There was a large training arena below the mansion where real training and sparring happened.

The field on the outside was mostly for exercising and light training if the person wanted to do it outside.

Art was yet to go there since he arrived in this world and he planned to do that soon.

He walked into the mansion with a lot on his mind.

He knew that he couldn't depend on mana for now so he had to exercise the abilities of the Silvers to the fullest.

He was thankful that he wasn't born into a family that derived all their strength from the use of magic, or else he would've been doomed for having his mana core locked.

So, he had to keep increasing his stats while honing his fighting skills.

Even with the awakening he received, it wasn't still enough.

Just imagine if he was on the receiving side of that attack he used against those rabbits, he won't even get the luxury of reacting before losing his life.

When entering the mansion through the main entrance the boy's section could be accessed through the stairs on the right while the girl's was on the left.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't know when he took the stairs to the left.

Both hallways of the girl's and boys' sections looked very similar in design, room number, and spacing. So when walking through it he still failed to realize, until he got to a room door which he believed to be his.

Realizing something, a smile just like a student who just solved a math problem tormenting his whole class appeared on his face as he pushed the door open.

The sight that greeted him caused his smile to slowly fade away.

Right in front of him was a girl with long silver hair tied in a bun and blue eyes, who was wrapped with a pink towel with bunny designs, along with a pair of slippers also with the same design.

Drops of water fell from some loose strands of her hair while also sliding across her flawless white skin which was mostly exposed as the towel was just a few inches below her butt.

Art blinked blankly several times, at first wondering what she was doing in his room, but seeing the design of the room which was, well.....umm, not what he expected, along with the feminine voices coming from other close by rooms, he realized that he had made a big mistake.

She was staring at him with a poker face, but judging how ruddy it had become, he could tell that she was embarrassed.

Something about the towel and her slippers didn't sit well with him but he didn't waste any more time, bowing slightly as a gesture of apology, which could be mistaken for a thank you. Well, that was up to her.

He closed the door before retracing his steps with a wry smile on his face.

The bodies of 16-year-olds here were fully developed. If they went to his former world they would be mistaken for 20-year-olds.

So her body was tuned perfectly, with great curves but he still failed to get excited.

'This may be for the best.'

It was way better than falling to the ground with a flushed face typical of what most 16-year-old anime characters would do.

Too bad there was no anime over here.

"I need to stop overthinking," he patted his face.

After opening the door of his room he headed straight into his bathroom.

He could easily bathe and dress up like a normal person, unlike before.

So he got prepared, dressed in casual clothes, 3 minutes before the announcement which was going to take place in the large living room.

The Silvers was a strict family, especially to the young ones. If a particular time was given no one was to arrive a second late.

So when he arrived, all 13 of them were present. They had enough sofas to contain them all.

Most of them sat closely in groups with the loners sitting on their own.

Of course he was a loner, so he just walked across the room towards a one-seater.

Everyone had their gazes locked on him. They were surprised at the improvement in his health and body.

If he was this handsome while still not looking healthy then how would he look when he's fully recovered.

Some of them were happy for him, others felt a little bad for mocking him all this time, while the rest felt annoyed, unhappy, and angry. His progress put a bad taste in their mouths along with his character which went through some annoying changes two weeks ago.

They were the ones who normally made him angry but just seeing him now made their blood boil, and they could see it….., the slight content smile on his face as he sat down.

They were just an inch away from losing their composure.

Art was truly satisfied by their reaction.

Even though he had recovered a lot and they feel such things towards him, none of them had acknowledged him in any way.

The main reason he was looked down upon wasn't his looks, it was his lack of strength.

Even if he had a good body build and was still as weak he would still be looked down upon in a similar way.

It wasn't like his former world where people try to befriend others because they were hot, beautiful, or rich.

In this world, power was what really mattered and people befriend others who seem stronger or on their level.

Art had grown way stronger within the past two weeks in a way that they would all find it hard to believe, but still, he would lose in a fight against anyone seated here.

Which was why he still laid low and tolerated all their crap while getting stronger in the shadows.

It won't be long before they experience the biggest shock of their lives.

Art noticed a different stare coming from someone and when he shifted his gaze towards the source, his eyes met with the blue eyes of Iris which seemed to hold more feelings but he had gone through a lot in both lives (because of the memories gained) to perceive danger.

'What's with that.....Oh! That's right, I barged into her room. She should forget about that. Didn't I explain things to her?' ~Never happened~

He thought averting his gaze.

Frigga who noticed this little exchange couldn't take it anymore.

Iris, someone who hasn't given any attention to him was staring at that loser.

But just before he could react, slow heavy footsteps reverberated across the room.

They all looked towards the source who was no other than the person in charge of them all.

He was the same person who sparred with the boy on the first day of his reincarnation.

He was six feet tall with a great body build and silver hair which was worn in a short ponytail.

He was clad in a suit and just by the aura he gave off, they didn't need to be told that they were nowhere near his level.

"I see you guys are getting along just fine."
