Chapter 6: Love At First Sight
Atlantis stunned reaction with what Enrico said clearly shows on her face. She was not able to reply. Until Enrico reached her shoulder and turn her around to face him. He reached for her chin and said, "Please? Lift your head up. I love to see those beautiful eyes of yours."
Atlantis shivered with what she just heard. Her heart beats faster than ever before. She just shyly said, "Alright, Sir." Then Enrico turned her around and hold her shoulders with his two big hands and ushered her to the elevator patio.
While waiting, Atlantis couldn't stop fidgetting. There she is again, without noticing, she closed her left fist and her index finger started to pinch her thumb again. In her mind, "Did I really heard all those sweet words from Enrico? Am I dead? Am I dreaming". She really feels so tense.
Ding! Elevator opened up. Enrico gently put his right hand on Atlantis' back ushering her inside the lift. As if the love fairy is guarding them, they are the only ones who will take the lift going down.
Enrico pushed the ground floor button. They are on the 40th floor. It will took a while before they reach the ground. Atlantis could hear her own heartbeat. It feels hot even when it's not hot. Enrico did not took away his hand at her lower back but instead when the elevator opened up at 30th floor and there are passengers coming in, he grab Atlantis' waist and pulled her near him. Enrico is pressed at her back. She can feel how lean is his body. And what's that?! Is that Enrico's fast heartbeat too? Is she hearing things? "Concentrate Atlantis!", she told herself. Yes, it's Enrico's heartbeat. It is also too fast. She wanted to look at Enrico but afraid that if she moved her head there is something that will happen.
And then, she noticed that Enrico's hand is gently massaging her waist. It made her feel very uneasy more. She can't identify if it's good uneasy or bad uneasy. She enjoy the feeling but she's also tormented. She can't take it anymore! She put her right hand too on top of Enrico's hand and she started to take away Enrico's hand on her waist. She successfully did it! But to her surprise, Enrico clasped his hand on her hand in lieu of her waist.
Atlantis' eyes wide as she turned around to Enrico. The funny thing is Enrico looked so amused! He even is smiling at her. But she, looks very tensed!
What is this man doing with her?! Here they come at 15th floor, more passengers came in. Enrico hugged her without unclasping his hand at Atlantis and acted as if he is protecting her from other passengers. They look like a couple who couldn't get their hands off each other!
Until a man recognized Atlantis and said, "Hi, Atlantis!" with a dashing smile.
Atlantis casually replied, "Oh hey, Vince! Break time already?"
Enrico coughed like he is really calling for attention. He is staring intently at Vince.
Vince successfully noticed him and with a confused look in his face replied, "Yes." and the smile on his face earlier slowly disappeared and he kept quiet.
Atlantis noticed the change of mood in the elevator and secretly tried to free her hand from Enrico but failed.
