Chapter 1: The System Is Here!
In a dark room, a man in his late 20's is currently spending yet another night on hardcore gaming. Having been on this latest game for over 20 hours today, Devin Dawson, 29 this year is a classic case of a shut in gamer who's unemployed and living on unemployment. However, just as he was about to defeat the final boss, his power went out. Screaming in rage and abject horror, Devin flung his controller onto the ground and collapsed crying. At that precise moment, a notification sound went off inside his head and a delicate female voice began to speak.
"Congratulations to the host, Devin Dawson on receiving the Supreme System. Reach for the stars and become the supreme being of this universe. Please now call out status."
Dumbfounded and full of excitement and doubt, I nervously said, "Status!".

Blushing at the System evaluation, I cleared my throat and said, "Hey System, is there possibly a beginner pack for receiving you?" Trying not to get my hopes up, I waited with bated breath. Suddenly that feminine voice spoke again. "Indeed there is, included are the System generated Inventory, and one beginner's cultivation manual. Cultivation technique is called, "Seven Rainbows Breaking The Sky". Please study the manual carefully and practice diligently. As your rank grows, more functions in the System shall become available to you. Good luck Devin!" With a cheerful voice, the System cheered me on before going silent. Smiling, I called for the inventory in my mind, and in there discovered my cultivation manual. Calling it out, I opened the book and began to study.
Hours have gone by and I'm beginning to make significant progress in reading the manual. I've significantly memorized the vast majority of the content and am ready to begin cultivating. Sitting down on my bedroom floor in the lotus position, I cup my hands palms facing up in my lap and begin focusing on finding my dantian. Finally locating a golden orb just below my collar bone, I follow the cultivation technique and begin circulating Qi in the air through my body and then circling a few rounds in my dantian before dispersing back into the air. The golden color of my dantian began to flicker rapidly between 7 different colors before returning to gold. Now, let's check my rank.

Yes! I did it! I made a break through! However, at that moment I began to see darkness. I see.. I have been up for like 36 hours now... It's sleepy time...
Beep beep! Beep beep! Beep beep! An annoying sound was going off in my head, and I groggily sat up from the floor I'd passed out on. Realizing that it was my alarm, I grimaced as I realized what today was... College entrance exams! You might say, aren't you too old for college? But I say to you, there's people who attend college for almost twenty years just to teach doctors, so suck on that! Anyway, I had promised my family that I would at least attempt to get into Princeton. Yes, that elitist place. Sighing, I got up and readied myself for the long day ahead. Hours of different tests, am I ready? Nope. Guess it wouldn't hurt to use the last 4 hours before the exams to crunch in some studying. An hour later I'm in shock. I've finished reading my last textbook, and I remember every detail of each book; not only that but I understand the content! Mind blown man! Anyway, I have 3 hours now until the exams, so let's write some mock essay topics for each subject. Another hour goes by, and no problems arise. Perfect recall and photographic memory! I'm a real superman!
I now have 2 hours until the entrance exam, it's time to head on over to Princeton.
When I arrive, I feel like I'm at some old English boarding school. The buildings look like mini castles and all. Talk about prestigious. Following the crowd of people swarming through the entrance, I make my way to the venue for the exams. Standing in front of a podium was a gorgeous fiery red head in a long green dress with a broach pinned on her chest. Everyone gathered in front of her, and she placed her hands behind her back and took a regal stance. Once everyone quieted down, she cleared her throat with an ahem before beginning to speak.
"Welcome everyone to the entrance exams for Princeton University. If the prospective students will follow me, I Stacy Mills, Student Council President, shall lead you to the first testing area. Let us be off then!" Clenching my right fist in an moment of pure excitement, I hurriedly followed after Stacy. Now that I know that I have a great chance at passing the exams, I'm not full of annoyance anymore, but joy instead. I will make my family proud this day!
As we walked behind Stacy, a girl nudged me in the shoulder and said, "The name's Kelsie Ridge, and I'm here to be a stock broker. What about you big guy?" Smiling at the unexpected encounter, I introduced myself to Kelsie. "Hello Kelsie, my name is Devin Dawson and I'm here to become an A list author." Grinning mischievously at my answer, Kelsie fist bumped me before skipping on ahead. Shaking my head and laughing, I hurried on after her. Five minutes later, we finally made it to the first exam hall. Man this campus is huge!
Suffice it to say, the exams were so easy that I almost fell asleep after finishing all of them. After exchanging contact information with Kelsie, I made my way back home. I'll get the results from my exams back in a week. Until then, it's cultivation time!
