Chapter 25: The Embodiment Of An Evil Aura!
I couldn't stop thinking about the room we found at my house. It's kinda surprising that it was all under my nose and I didn't know about it...I smile at my idiocy.
*Smack*
I smack my fist to the wall "Tsch!" Feeling of anger huh? Never thought that this day would come when I would be feeling angry for some dumb reason... "Mom...What were you up to and what is that room?" Not to mention that dream I had. "All of these messages...What did you want me to do mom? I don't understand anything...Please...Help me..."
Next day,
Just like any other day, I walk out my room to clash in with another person. "Sorry." I say to that person. The person looks at me. "Your that boy who jumped out of that portal right?" He asks me. I look at him. His hairs all messy, his eyes are dead like he hasn't slept in days and his clothes are a complete mess. Is he having a rough life or what? Anyways it's better I answer his question. "Yeah." I say. "Which class?" He asks me. "Hmm?" I look at him confused. Class? Oh wait class are also identified as squads. I should remember that for the next time someone asks me the same question. "Squad Rizing." I say. "I see...Problem child like the others. Don't worry, your pain will soon be over." The guy says and leaves. What did he mean by problem child and pain being over? "What a weird person."
After that weird encounter, I made my way down towards the camp. There I met with Jacob and Ashley. "Hey cool guy, how are your injuries?" He asks me. "It's all good as of right now." I reply. "Good to know." Jacob says. "Can I talk to you guys later? I kinda-" I am interrupted by Ashley. "Don't worry, we know your going to write your exams. So we will talk later then. Good luck!" Ashley smiles. "Yep! Same from me." Jacob smiles and gives me a thumbs up. I smile. "See you guys later." I say.
I entered the exam hall and everyone who were on the mission were sitting in this class. 15 minutes after I reach and take a seat in the exam hall, the exam begins. The exam will go on for about 3 hours. Everyone looks to be confused and looking to copy the work of the person sitting next to them. I didn't even know squad silence were cheating by using magic. The questions in the question paper are so much easier at least that's what a commander knight would say but the normal students or novice knights like us haven't learnt enough to fill all of the questions in. While me on the other end, I have been studying mom's books since I was a kid so it makes it much easier to write all of the answers for me.
Thinking about this, I wonder if mom had it all planned out since the start...So if anything were to happen to her...Was she actually planning to send me here through that portal all along? That's a much harder question to answer than another one of the simple questions written here.
Ilora was the first one to submit her answer sheet. Why am I not surprised by it? She is the kid of the headmaster after all. Followed by Ilora was Cyan. Again, I am not surprised. They wouldn't be called water 'TWINS' for no reason. Slowly everyone's answer sheets get submitted. Why am I not submitting my answer sheet? That's simple. There is one last trick question that no one has got yet. I smile as everyone left.
The 3 hours are completed...And the answer to the final question too. "You finished your exam a long time ago, so why are you sitting there?" The teacher standing in front of me asks. "Patience is virtue, what will you do? That is...The final question. The answer to that is, I will wait for as long as it is necessary to wait." I reply to the teacher. The teacher's eyes widen. "I expected nothing less from you." Jian who stands near the entrance door says. He smiles at me and then takes his leave. I smile.
Few days have passed, I have pretty much gotten over the stuff that happened few days ago at my house and then the bulletin board had our results posted over it with students all around. The students around the bulletin board seem to be in a shock. "Who in the world is Henry Marshal...?" One of the student in the crowd asks. "That would be my buddy here." Jacob says pointing at me. "What's the matter?" Jacob looks at the students and asks with a smile. Ilora enters followed by my other classmates and they look at the bulletin board, their eyes widen. "The hell...?" Casey says. Jacob's attention goes towards the bulletin board as soon as Casey speaks. Jacob starts breathing heavily. "A-a-a-a-A PERFECT ACE?!!!! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Jacob screams gathering everyone's attention.
Cyan arrives to the scene looking very uninterested of the current situation. "Who scored a perfect ace?" Cyan asks. Jacob points at me. Cyan looks at me and smirks. "What a joke!" She says. Jacob, without saying a word then points at the bulletin board. Cyan's eyes widen. "Bull...Shit..." Cyan says. I sigh. I knew I shouldn't have written all the answers. This is really the end of it for me. Cyan catches my collar and starts shaking me. "HOW DID YOU GET A PERFECT ACE?! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN 21 PERFECT ACES IN ALL KNIGHT EXAMS AND THIS IS A TEST RESULT I DO NOT BELIEVE IN! ESPECIALLY, WHEN THE PERSON GETTING IT IS RECKLESS, PERVERT AND BELONGS TO THE WORST SQUAD AT RODEO ACADEMY!!!!" Cyan says. She is right about reckless and belonging to the worst squad but I am not a pervert.
"You shouldn't underestimate one's intelligence, Cyan." That boy...The one I met on the exam day. He showed up again. "Big brother Hayden..." Cyan says. "Don't mind my sister, will you?" That man says to me. He gives me a smile. "Sure thing." I say. "You are quite weak though. Even your magic is one of the weakest elements. It's quite a shame you have such a high intelligence." The boy says. "What do you mean by quite a shame?" I ask. "It's nothing, we shall meet again Henry Marshal. Better be ready for what's about to be the end of Rizing." The man says. "Brother...What are you planning?" Cyan asks with sweat dripping off of her forehead. "Do not question your brother, Cyan." That guy says to Cyan with a smile and leaves. But this time his smile was a creepy one. Cyan's eyes widen and she looks down. "Yes brother..." She says. Her body is shivering...What's happening to her?
As soon as that man left, Cyan left out a relief breathe. "Are you alright?" I ask. "It's dangerous meddling with my brother...His...His no joke..." She says. "His what you will call an embodiment of evil aura...He doesn't have evil intentions but his body...It just emits this strong evil aura..." It's clear she doesn't understand. It's not his body emitting the evil aura but he himself seems to be on the edge of something. "Hey Henry..." Cyan holds onto my jacket. "Please...Do not ever try to do anything reckless with him...It's dangerous..." She says. "What do you mean dangerous?" I ask Cyan. "She's basically saying that she doesn't want you to get hurt." Ilora who stands behind me says. "THAT'S NOT IT ILORA SIS!" Cyan screams as she leaves my jacket and her cheeks begin to get red like a tomato. "I DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT YOU! HMPH!" She then leaves with an angry face. Well that was a quick turn of events. "Whatever the case, she is right, you shouldn't do anything reckless when the situation is with him. His dangerous." Ilora says as she passes by me. "I wouldn't want to lose someone like you too..." Did I hear that correctly? Ilora keeps on walking on a straight path. This Hayden guy...His dangerous and Cyan's brother huh? Even Ilora is warning me...I know I am nowhere near his level but if I know anything about me...I will love to get to his level and for that...During this vacation...I will get stronger...Stronger then every student in this academy. That is my next step to becoming a knight!
