"Haaa~... All we had to do is to mix the marron cream into the tart, isn't that right Trey-senpai?" Asked Ace as he cracked his hands a bit while Vorvomon, Jazamon, Meicoomon and Grim drooled, but thank god that the orange cat digimon resist to eat the unfinished big tart. It's nothing to compare of their world as they had a thing about big foods.
The cooled down tart crust is perfectly gold-brown that is waiting for filling the marron cream and Rei smelled the divine dessert then nodded in approve that it would be go well with her special coffee.
Sadly, Her partner read her mind as she turned her head towards the black haired tamer with her deadpanned expression, "Don't EVER think about it to brew your so-called special brand coffee for Yggdrasil's sake or else I sell off your precious collection that hiding from your backpack Rei!"
She put her hands up as surrender and pouted which Meiccomon pinched her nose while she muttered quietly that nobody can hear what the orange cat said.
"Oh good lord, why does she have this habit? I blame Gankoomon and the whole Royal Knight for this, that's for sure... Come to think of it my partner is too YOUNG to drink!"
Meiccomon wided her eyes in realization and Rei stepped back away from her digimon partner that planned to get into her backpack.
Trey smiled and wondering what the human girl put on her coffee but his mind drifted to Ace, "That right all we had to do is to mix the marron cream into the tart and you guys are really good for the first time. Keep up that pace." Then he ruffled Ace's and Deuce's head except Rei because she was running away from her own partner who keep telling her to come back here.
"Hehe, anything's easy-peasy for the future great magician, Grim!" The feline boasted with a grin.
Ace told the cat, "You get carried away too easily!"
"Eggs don't... turn into chicks...?" Deuce questioned himself as he still didn't get over the fact that the eggs weren't turning into baby chicks and Jazamon tittled his head.
Ace shaked his head then patted the poor guy on his shoulder, "You get over it I hope." He told in his awkward attitude.
After making the cream, they started to assemble the tart together.
"Alright, perfect!" The messy haired boy exclaimed as the cream was nicely swirled around the tart crust on the bottom.
"It looks so good~!" Grim said while inhaling the delicious sweet.
Then Trey announced the next step, "Thanks for the great work, guys. All that's left is to put some marron glacé on top."
Grim then placed his paw up excitedly, "Me, me, pick me! I'll do it!!" He shouted which Trey allowed the cat to do.
"Don't mess it up, okay?"Ace warned the cat.
The grey cat grinned, "Leave it to me! There we go! As expected from me~! This is gonna be the best tart ever~!" He praised himself.
Meicoomon stopped her tracks and her eyes looked serious at the moment to her Tamer.
"Don't ever think about it I let this slide. We need to talk about your problems later Rei!" The orange cat digimon told Rei who nodded in defeat.
"Alright, alright... I got it." The black haired girl was sad that she need to wait until she will be twenty.
Maybe.
"Alright, the last step is to sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and then..."
After sprinkling the powdered sugar on top, "We're done~!!" Grim, Ace, Deuce, Rei, Meiccomon, Vorvomon and Jazamon cheered themselves.
Ace crossed his arms behind his head, "Who knew that making desserts would take this long? I'm so tired..." He complained.
"Well that's baking for you." Meiccomon stated and Rei nodded in agree.
"No matter baking or cooking, chefs have always pride themselve to their cooking even though most of them don't earn that much money, they love to bring their customers happiness even the hardest time." The black haired girl told them while she clossed her eyes and smiled.
"Nice work~ ♪ Did you finish the tarts? The decoration looks so cute~! It's totally 'grammable! Let me take a pic~" Cater announced out of nowhere as he took pictures of the giant tart with his phone. Rei doing the same because she wanted to show her friends from the digital world what she made with her new friends in this world and Erika would be jealous that they eat the Mont Blanc Tart.
Ace screamed while he holded his partner, "AH! Where were you all this time?"
"I came to check on my cute little juniors 'cause you were doing your best~ Ahaha, you look dead tired!" Cater said laughing a bit.
Trey then said, "Doing things you're not used to can be tiring. In any case, sweets are the solution for a weary body. Have some of our freshly made marron tart."
"Yay~!" Everyone cheered as they took a tart pieces one for each for them.
"To bad that we can't eat together with the whole digimon group, right Rei?" Meiccoomon hummed happily and Rei chuckled quietly.
"Perhaps I should bake tomorrow because they worked so hard on the old dorm and don't forget the avatar of gluttony because he would get angry that we are eating right now." The female tamer quietly said that nobody knew what they are talking about.
Ace asked the orange haired senior, "You only came here to help us with the tasting, huh, Cater-senpai?"
"Now, now~ Let's all just enjoy it~" Cater announced and everyone took a bite.
"Oh, damn...!" Ace shouted amazed how the umami burst in his mouth that came from the tart.
"This is so good~!" Cater said but Rei quickly noticed that his mask cracked a bit as he took a small bite than the others then nodded in silent.
Deuce was in awe, "Amazing... It's better than the ones in the store!"
Grim was happily exclaimed, "It's sweet, but it's not super overpowering. My mouth feels like it's in a field of chestnuts, yanno~!"
The two small dragon digimon gleamed their eyes that this food taste delicious but they would like prefer meat above else.
Rei and Meiccoomon hummed how delicious the tart was, the fresh marron cream and the tart crust they had made was so worth it that it came straight to a heart warming bakery.
Trey looked at the cat while he raised an eyebrow at him and asked, "Is that a compliment?"
Cater then had an idea, "Oh, yeah. Do that for them, Trey-kun." He told his dormmate.
"That? Oh, you mean 'that.'" The green haired upperclassman said knowing what he was referring too making the juniors tilt their heads in confusion.
"What's 'that'?" Ace asked.
Trey then asked back, "You guys, what are your favorite foods?"
Ace replies, "Mine's... cherry pie and hamburger."
"Mine is canned tuna. Oh, and cheesy omelet, grilled meat, pudding, and-" Grim said about to list more.
Thankfully Deuce cuts him off, "If I were to choose, I'd probably pick omurice."
"Mine is grilled rum meat with diablo sauce." Cater answered.
Vorvomon and Jazamon told them any meat were their favourite.
Rei hummed as she was lost in thoughts and placed her fingers over her chin while she closed her eyes.
"Rei.."
An image of a small kitchen, a long black haired women with the same eye colors like her, smiled gentle over a small version of Rei who looked curious over her mother as she platted their meal on the table.
Then the small Rei glanced over the slightly burned food and her mother looked exhausted how much work she had to do before but the woman was glad that she spent time with her daughter for a last time before she gets careless as she consumed into her parents perssure.
"The today's meal is Salisbury steak with miso soup and carrots," Then she patted Rei's head while her mother gave a weak smile as her child eat the steak.
"Forgive me that I am such a bad mother to you but I have no choice..."
The older Rei slowly opened her eyes and smiled softly that would melt the troublesome duo's heart.
"Slightly burned Salisbury steak with miso soup and carrots, for me then." The black haired tamer said with her melancholy voice as she was still drifted from her memories.
Meicoomon glanced at her partner and understood what kind of memories was playing on her mind but now it was not the time to comfront her right now because its her turn to tell her favourite food.
"Tempura udon is one of my favourite dishes." The unknown type digimon stated.
Trey nodded from hearing all their answers, "Alright, here we go. Doodle Suit!" He exclaimed, activating his magic.
Though nothing seems to happen, "? This is...?" Deuce asked the upperclassman.
"Take another bite of the marron tart, if you'd please." He instructed which everyone did so.
As their eyes widen tasting their favorite foods instead of the sweet dessert except Rei who was frozen as the taste replicated her mother's cooking even the taste of the marron tart was still there, this should be impossible to brought something that should be forgotten.
"Hm? !!!! This is... It's a marron tart, but I can taste cherry pie!" Shouted Ace.
Grim eating with his mouth full, "It's canned tuna flavor!"
Then taking another bite, "Now it's cheesy omelette! Grilled chicken and then... Pudding!" The feline exclaimed.
"It's interesting, right?! Don'tcha think this'll fly well if you do this at a tea party with girls~?" Cater said cheerfully while Meicoomon patted Rei's shoulder as nobody noticed that the black haired girl lowered her fork to the plate and gave it to her while she smiled.
Deuce then compliments the green haired upperclassman, "It's amazing! Is changing something's flavor your unique magic, Trey-senpai?" He asked.
"To be more precise, it's the ability to 'overwrite things with what you imagine.' I can do it with color and smell, too, not just taste. It's not a permanent effect so it's sort of like a sketch only. That's why I call this magic 'doodle'. It's merely sketching." Trey explained.
"If we use your Doodle Suit magic, then having an eat-all-you-can canned tuna isn't just a dream now! It's a lot more amazing compared to that bully Riddle's magic!" Shouted a happy Grim.
"No... My magic is merely a toy when compared to the Prefect's magic. Our levels are just too different." Trey stated.
Meiccoomon and Rei narrowed their eyes because how he speak so low over his useful unique magic actually that would be very a huge help to their current situation from their digital world because overwrite everything means it can change the abilities of a certain destructive digimon who its nature was to destroy all areas and worlds, Milleniummon.
"To be honest...," Rei paused as Trey gained her attention to her and eyed her, "You are such a big liar." She said bluntly to her upperclassman.
Trey starred at her why she told him that and how she figured it out that his magic would win over that everything that can be overwritten.
'She is really something else...' The dark green haired man thought in caution but he can see that the girl would protect them if there something happening to the future.
"Alright! The night is deep. Let's give the tart to the Prefect tomorrow, okay? Tomorrow is the Unbirthday Party. Don't be late, got it?" Trey said, getting the others attention.
Ace then looks at the girl, "Rei, can we sleep over again~? It seems like this bully senpai won't let me back in yet~" He begs while pointing at the orange haired senior.
Rei and Meicoomon glanced at each other then nodded, "Okay~ The whole group would be happy that the Koromons got their evolution today and this would the first time that I sleepover with a boy."
That made Ace happy how kind hearted she is and prayed that she wouldn't change then Vorvomon glued his eyes over them like a child.
Meanwhile Deuce and Grim frowned at the boy for different reasons of course.
"Hey, Ace. Don't rely on Rei too much again." Deuce scolds the dark orange haired boy.
Grim nodded in agreement, "He's right! You better pay rent if you're gonna stay with us again! Ten canned tunas!"
"Eh?! Am I supposed to sleep outside then?" He asked.
Then Trey suggested, "How about we have Deuce stay over in Rei's dorm, too, to help keep an eye on Ace. I'll give you permission as the vice head of the dorm."
Cater pouted wanting to stay over with the female tamer too and also wanted to learn the digimon who lived there, "Aren't you being too soft on them, Trey-kun!? How nice~ Hey, Rei-chan and Mei-chan, can I stay with you guys, too?"
"You're not included." The green haired senior stated bluntly.
Cater continued to pout, "Stingy!"
Trey looked down at the girl giving her an apologetic smile, "Then, I'm sorry for leaving our two boys in your care again, Rei. See you tomorrow." He told Rei.
She waved it off as Rei has no problem with this situation, "Mm it's fine. And see you tomorrow Trey-senpai and Cater-senpai." The female Tamer said with a smile.
"Tomorrow is the Unbirthday Party... I'll definitely make him remove this damn collar! Just you wait, Dorm Head!" Ace declared as they finished eating the tarts, cleaned up and went their separate ways to get ready for tomorrow.

Meanwhile Trey and Cater came back to the Heartslabyul dormitory walking into the lounge area. One of the underclassmen came up to them with relief, "Trey-senpai, Cater-senpai! I'm so glad you're finally back...!" He exclaimed.
The two looked at him and Trey asked, "Did something happen?"
"According to Rule #256 by the Queen of Hearts, "One should not drink lemonade with honey when it's past 8 in the evening." Some students disobeyed the rule and the Dorm Head put collars on all of them..." The underclassman replied.
Trey and Cater looked at each other but let him continue.
"I don't want to live this kind of life anymore! He keeps enforcing unreasonable rules... I want to transfer to another dorm...!" The underclassman exclaimed.
Trey sighed and placed a hand on the underclassman's shoulder reassuring him, "It's going to be okay. I'll go talk with the Prefect. You guys go back to your room."
The boy nodded and scurried away back with the other students to their rooms.
"Then, I'll go make some tea to help calm our queen down." Cater said.
Trey looked at him, "Sorry about this, Cater. Oh yeah, can you make some herb tea instead of red tea? If I remember correctly, Rule #153 states that herb tea is the only one allowed at night..." He pondered.
Cater gave an okay sign, "You got it."

Meanwhile at the Ramshackle dorm.
"Rei~ How can I stop Ruby from eating our giant tart that we working on?" Asked Ace while he hold the small rock dragon to prevent to eat the apology tart for the unbirthday tea party.
The black haired girl raises an eyebrow at him while she stir the chestnut sauce for their dinner and Meicoomon stood outside for grilling the vension steak on the charcoal Braizer.
It's a good thing that the digital world grew many varieties of meats that can be cultivated thanks to the plant digimon, nobody will get tired from eating food because how many strange ingriedients they having and somewhat healthy that the tamers survive 101 the wilderness of the digital world.
"Don't worry Ace, make sure to hold your digimon for while. I'm nearly done for you dinner that they certainly love it." Rei said calmly to him then she added, "Suggest that you guys waiting in the lounge room because it would be the best way instead of looking weirdly of my cooking."
Ace and Vorvomon were shoved out from the kitchen by Biyomon and Falocmon who have more resist than the rest of the digimon group.
Impmon wasn't taking it to well that they eating the tarts without him, but he got pleased that their tamer making a familiar dish from a certain anime that the main character made it from scratch and glad that Rei didn't let the twin Gatomons out because she gave them a special mission that they needed jogress their ultimate level to travel to the digital world to bring someone into this world for backup.
'So the war game has slowly begun to the next stage...' The child level of the gluttony avatar digimon thought and remembers too well that the seven demon lords made so much shits but this was so much worse from their wicked projects that is natural for them because they presented over the seven sins of humanity.
Like they made crack programs for giggles and shits for example the tempest crack program they had secretly released into the Digital World.
One of the main effects in the of an infected Digimon consists in overwriting their digital data naturally expressed in and being converted into that causing the Digimon to go wild and lose control and infecting other Digimon in the process.
That was the past problems and conflict that lead two wars, L&R War and Xros wars.
But now their current problem was coming from the very beginning of the creation, the oldest supercomputer, that came from an ancient alien civilization.
Impmon eyed to his tamer who poured the sauce into the plate has quite well hidden her negative emotion with her usual mask that Meicoomon only knows about.
He can't understand her at all but the burden that she carries shouldn't this share to the digimon group and the tamer community as well?
Even mortals have there limits and the young uncrowned queen knows better than that but humans are complicated beings to understand what they have on their minds.
The purple Imp streched his arm a bit as he headed to the lounge room where the newbies watch the anime called Violet Evergarden started to cry and he sighed why Rei downloaded this anime even though its a beautiful anime, but it makes anyone cry and it's difficult to make them stop.
"How did I became a human babysitter anyway?" Impmon asked himself while Deuce, Jazamon, Ace, Vorvomon and Grim crying over the saddest anime that they ever seen before.
To thank his luck as Rei called them that their dinner was ready to serve.
