Chapter 2: Serena Sorrow

Snow is the worst! Ryan's snort was frustrated. All passengers were terrified by the turbulence, which made somebody suddenly grab his hand strongly. She closed her eyes. He looked down at her small mouth; her thin lips clinched hard. "Calm down; it will all pass soon," he reassured the girl on the side.

A few moments later, everything was back to normal. On the plane, with a roar of breath and extended prayers, the girl's eyes slowly opened, staring at her own hands, which were still tightly grasping a foreign man. "Oh, I'm sorry to have hurt you," she muttered, embarrassed.

Ryan McCarthy smiled wryly. "No problem, but it's best to bring friends so you don't have to be scared like this."

He'd been annoyed for a while now. Because the first-class ticket is sold out, there is no other option but to go with economy-class travelers to the same location. Moore is a moron! Ryan gently hissed.

"This is the last plane available after hours of waiting due to the snowstorm this afternoon." There was the girl's voice once more. Ryan nodded when he came up briefly. Their journey had been impeded, but being on the plane made him feel relieved. Ryan McCarthy's parents had been waiting for their only son to make a big decision in his life.

He should marry and have children as soon as feasible in order to inherit the whole estate of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory McCarthy. Arghh-! It wasn't his intention, but they were insistent. At the age of 27, it is deemed proper to commit to one lady and stop playing love games with many lovers. It kept flashing across Ryan's head. Year-end parties devolved into rages. He had to return home.

"Go to sleep; the night is still long, and we still have half a journey to go," he replied, stopping the talk and closing his eyes. Boredom afflicts the spirit. When Ryan stopped conversing, the foreign female exclaimed with madness.

Ryan's strong shoulders straightened to hook the coat, attempting to warm himself from the cold air between them. And returned her glance. The young lady's gaze was drawn to the window. A lifeless expression. She was so vulnerable on her own that she traveled a long distance.

"Where are you going?" There was a concealed question, but never say it. His mistake was so violent that their chat was cut short. Tomorrow became upset when he met the parents and discussed his everlasting, undesirable marriage.

Serena Wilson's petite body squirmed inside the thick quilt. The large bed and pile of nice pillows on his head made him hesitant to wake up after a lengthy sleep without a burden.

One or two seconds later, lazy eyes opened wide, staring at the ceiling of the white chamber, not her own, including the entire room. What happened to me?

Serena hurried to the floor, which was as chilly as a winter morning. She was imprisoned somewhere far from her hometown. Grabbed a brown coat lying on a chair and ran out of the room, determined to learn what had happened to Mr. Andriano's daughter's life.

"Mr. Moore!" Serena's yell shook the mansion like it was a palace. No one answered her cry in the corridor. The more irrational emotions rushed to the stairs. "Mr. Moore, where have you gone? Damn it!" She cursed repeatedly while inadvertently walking deeper into the dining room.

Oh, no! Serena Wilson's expression was stunned.

A middle-aged couple was watching her from head to toe, sans shoes. Her eyes were drawn to the young man with a smooth beard developing on his chin, cheeks, and neck, who reminded Serena of someone on the same journey.

Oh, God! Why should they meet again in such a tough situation? "Where is Mr. Moore, and why is he not here?" She urged him angrily.

Instead, the host replied to Serena's query with a warm "Good morning, miss. We're having breakfast and talking about you."

Mr. Gregory McCarthy allowed the guest to take a seat, but the girl remained still on the stand. Tense and rigid. Considers his family to be adversaries. Mrs. Bellezza, elegantly dressed and clutching her husband's hand, felt something peculiar.

"Please allow me to speak with her first, Dad. Just keep eating; we'll catch up later." Ryan McCarthy approached Serena Wilson and pulled over to talk about their problems without being heard. "You come with me now!" he ordered strongly.

"What the hell, you just dragged me around like this?" Serena objected. Mr. Moore's men had previously abused her, and now a terrible guy had ordered her to accompany him. "I remember you were on the plane last night; why did we meet again here this morning?"

"Fate brought you over, you talkative girl!" exclaimed Ryan on the stairs leading to the private chamber. "You just make my parents look bad. Moore sent me the wrong girl!"

Serena attempted to comprehend. She didn't see Mr. Moore, but she did notice three strangers eating breakfast. Ryan, the young man's name, kept moaning, causing her to half-run up the corridor after his long legs. "Hey, where are we going?"

"MY ROOM!" The door was wide open, allowing the obnoxious woman to enter. Ryan shut the door and turned to face her. "Really, I didn't expect to see you again, miss!"

"Are you angry because your head landed on my luggage?" Serena asked without feeling wrong. "I've apologized numerous times because it was an unintentional occurrence; my hands are too short."

"Indeed, you are a short girl; instead of patiently waiting for me to grab your bag, you force it to fall on my head!" Ryan exclaimed angrily. "Forget about it; we need to talk about something more important, like why you're in my house!"

Bugh-! Serena slammed her fist against his muscular chest. "Obviously, you kidnapped me!" Her demeanor had become increasingly agitated. "Mr. Andriano's debt is none of my concern; my late father never advised me to borrow money from someone as rude as you."

Serena's chin was quickly grasped. Ryan McCarthy's venomous gaze flashed over. "Moore recorded Mr. Andriano's loans from my company; you are just a guarantee of repayment that has not been paid off at all!"

Just on the plane, their faces were so close. The frail girl dozed off on my shoulder, her hands touching and warming each other. Ryan could still smell the fragrance of her hair and perfume.

Because they are not lovers, he cannot give her more freedom than she deserves. "Follow my orders, change your clothes, and go downstairs to join breakfast with Gregory McCarthy's family."

Serena shook the hand away from her chin. "No, I want to go home; my place is not here!" She declined, abandoning her enormous enemy.

Ryan grabbed the bothersome girl and threw his massive body on the bed since he didn't have time to walk to the door. Pfft--! Serena's respiration was obstructed by a hefty weight.

Ryan McCarthy waited so long that he ultimately ended a tense scenario akin to airline turbulence caused by a snowstorm. "You can't go anywhere, miss!" He pressed so hard. "It is your duty to give birth to my offspring in order to save the lives of your family's ignorant selves in three days."

Serena Wilson remembered Mrs. Angel, Sarah, and Marcella's shadows. They cheated Mr. Andriano until the end of his life.

Their debt was paid at the expense of Serena's life, even though she never enjoyed the inheritance and was deemed parasitic and discarded in real terms after her dear father's funeral.

"I don't give a damn about their safety!" Serena attempted to get rid of Ryan. "Find the wife you want, but not me!" Allow me to get out, or shout loudly to embarrass your parents even more!"

However, his lips fell silent faster than predicted. Pfft--! Gregory McCarthy's son's emotions transform into desire, becoming increasingly uncontrollable.

"Stop it, Ryan, just stop it!" Serena's terror reverberated in all directions as the jerk's hand brushed hers. The chance to escape a sticky situation has vanished. The peaceful morning had turned tense.

Ryan McCarthy is on the lookout for something. Everything came to an end with a powerful jolt. Sorrow was shed as the wicked man went. "I'm sorry, dad!" Serena wept regretfully.
