"Why did I have to remember that terrible night" said Jay, as he got up from his bed.
He got out of bed and started brewing coffee. He got up very early and decided to read a book to kill time. The book was about a lone wolf that traveled hundred of miles due to the death of his pack. Time past pretty quickly, for he was completely focused in reading his book.
"Hey, you up yet?" said a young man as he knocked on the door. Jay opened the door and let the man go inside. "You came over here very early Leo" Jay said in a annoyed tone. "Early? It's almost seven o'clock, did you get up just now? asked Leo. Jay and Leo became friends during their time in college and graduated together, they both considered to be each others best friend.
"Hey, why don't you serve your guest here breakfast?" Leo said in a sarcastic voice. "I can make you coffee" Jay said.
"...sure..." Leo said in a surprised tone.
Jay made Leo's coffee as bitter as he could and gave it to him. "I'll go get ready for work" Jay said as he closed the door to his bedroom. All you can hear are the complaints of Leo in the kitchen which made Jay smile.
Jay and leo both worked for the tenth division in the Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI as detectives, they were both new to the agency and only have been working there for about 4 months. They were both young, with Jay being 23 and Leo being 24, with Jay being the youngest in the agency. Leo said good morning to everyone in the Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch division, while Jay remained quiet and only said "Good morning sir" to the division chief.
Jay sat at his desk and started reading papers on some old cases that were solved, since there wasn't much to do. He was double checking the cases in case something was misfiled.
"I need all the detectives at the meeting room now" said the division director.
"A couple were killed in their bedroom at around 11 PM last night. I want the rookies Jay, Alex, Aria to go to the scene accompanied by Steven, they are going to be the detectives that are going to inspect the scene and if you find anything, I want you to send me a file regarding what you found and to send the evidence to the lab for a check up" said the division director.
"Yes sir!" they said in union. All four of them rushed to get everything ready to go the scene.
On the way to the crime scene was very quiet, no one said anything for a while until Steven decided to break the silence. "How does working for the agency feel like?" he said.
"It feels so surreal, it's not as hard as it was when I was first getting employed, getting the job was hard." replied Alex. "It's true" agreed Aria,"What about you Jay?" asked Alex. Jay chose to ignore this and remain silent since he had no intention in talking.
Alex was one of the people that was angered by Jay's personality, "Jay, your personality doesn't suit our work environment at all" he said out of spite. " It doesn't concern you whether I decide to talk or not, there is no need for me to respond to you, I only respond to my superiors" Jay responded with a cold tone. Alex was angered by this but he decided to not say anything since it would only complicate things.
They arrived to the scene with multiple of cops in front of a huge house. The couple were scientist and they stated that they have made a huge discovery and they were yet to release the details.
The scene caused fear to take over the rookie detectives, the conditions of the couple was horrible. There was blood everywhere, the bodies had limbs that were nowhere to be seen and multiple bullet holes where vital organs are.
'They must have been silenced so that discovery wasn't made public' he thought, then he excused himself saying the scene was too much for him and he needed a minute to recover.
Jay decided to use his ability, he closed his eyes and looked into the past.
He saw the woman and the man working in a place that appeared to be a lab, it was fill with many scientist and they all seemed to have happy expressions on their faces.

"Hey mister" said John to an older man that was working with some chemicals.
"What is the matter John?" Mark replied, as John walked over to him.
"Do you want to come over and have dinner at home with me and my wife?" said John with a happy expression. John looked up to Mark for he had helped him and his wife make a huge discovery the other day. He wanted Mark to be recognized along with him and his wife, Beatriz.
"I'm sorry but I will be busy tonight and I want sometime alone" Mark answered, with a sad voice. John was sad when he heard this, he quickly told the old man what he wanted to talk over diner and asked him to think about it and left.
When the man Heard this his face was filled with regret. "John!" he yelled, but John had already left and couldn't hear him.

John and his wife were discussing how they will write the report on what they found. They help complete the research in how to utilize electronium, a powerful material that can absorb large amounts of raw energy in a small amount of time and later release the energy completely without losing any energy. It can be used for military, to supply the energy a country needs and to have technological advancements.
They spent the entire afternoon getting the document ready to be released to the public. Then they heard a loud knock that resounded in the house. "John... Beatriz are you there?" a woman said loudly, as she continued to knock even louder than before.
Beatriz went and opened the door to the woman.
"Hi Amanda" said Beatriz as she shook the hand of the woman.
"Please, you must listen to me" said Amanda with a sad look in her eyes. "Please refrain from releasing your work to the public or you will regret it, It's for your and your husband's safety".
Confused by this, Beatriz answered "What does our safety have to do with the release of the project?".
"Both of you will lose you lives" Amanda said with a wry smile.
