Chapter 18: Humanoid Spirit Beast
Spirit Beasts could be categorized into two, Humanoid Form or Beastly Form. The Humanoid Form meant that the Spirit Beast had more than 70% human features, while the Beastly Form meant that it had less than 50% human features. The ones in between were recognized as Hybrid Form. The percentage was categorized as such :
Facial features (such as : facial hair, additional gills, and such): 5%
Eyes : 5%
Ears : 5%
Nose: 5%
Mouth : 5%
Skin colour : 10%
Arms : 10%
Legs : 10%
Private parts : 5%
Body Features (chest hair, additional fins, scales) : 10%
Temper : 5%
Speech : 5%
Special constitution : 10%
Cultivation : 10%
Only Spirit Beasts with high cultivation would be able to transform into Humanoid Form. However, high cultivation in Hyouka meant level 50 and above. This explained the reason that there would be no more Spirit Beast monsters after level 50...

For Thorny Iguana to be able to become Humanoid Flame Iguana was unpredecented. Dye remembered that the game was not supposed to be like that...
Thorny Iguana wasn't supposed to attain Humanoid Form, if the world went like how she designed it to be. However, this assured her that there would be something...surely something great...after she finished this hidden BOSS.
'What a nice surprise!'
It was around 8 PM, if time went like Earth's. Actually, the system had this type of clock, which told the time, both the Hyouka version and the Earth version. Everyone knew how the Earth version was, the Hyouka version was only slightly different.
00.01-03.00 = Qing Period (Azure Period)
03.01-06.00 = Tian Period (Sky Period)
06.01-09.00 = Guang Period (Light Period)
09.01-12.00 = Tai Period (Sun Period)
12.01-15.00 = Huo Period (Fire Period)
15.01-18.00 = Shui Period (Water Period)
18.01-21.00 = Gui Period (Go Away Period)
21.01-00.00 = Xing Period (Star Period)
Hours are called Po. So in Hyouka's clock, it was 2 Po into Gui Period. Of course, as it was too complicated, Dye sometimes didn't bother to check the time at all.
It saved some energy. Just say that strength was supposed to be well spent.
The Humanoid Flame Iguana lost its powerful scales, although its vital parts were still covered by the vibrant red scales. It looked precisely like a human on fire, making Dye think of a song on Earth...
The Humanoid Flame Iguana's skin was vermillion, and it had bright green eyes and a shiny scales-covered head. Its body was twice larger than Lin Mao's and Lin Mao was the largest person in the party. It had sharp claws and no private parts. Although they had previously confirmed that the Iguana was a male...
"I'll kill you!" The Humanoid Flame Iguana shouted. Ynoir and Lin Mao didn't understand what the Iguana was talking about as it wasn't talking with the Unity Language (the language that all the races decided upon). Although it was speaking in Ancient Bestial Language, Dye understood what it was saying.

"Fat chance, let's see if you're going to get forced into your Fifth Form first or we're using our ultimate skills first!"
Ynoir and Lin Mao understood what Dye had just said, but they were surprised that HUmanoid Flame Iguana was able to understand it as well.
"How can you know the Bestial Language?" It growled,"it's a sacred language for us beasts!"
Dye sweatdropped.
Because it was usually too noisy listening to various languages, she shut the features down and only turned it on when neccessary, however she forgot to check the system log what language the other party just used...
And to think it was the Ancient Bestial Language...
Only Spirit Beasts were able to comprehend this language. She would not be able to explain how she comprehended this language...
Let's jus say...she created this language???
No..
She didn't...
In the end, Dye decided to fight first before trying to explain things to Ynoir and Lin Mao. She sent a few remarks to the Humanoid Flame Iguana, looking as if she was taunting it (with 'Unity Language'). Although Ynoir wasn't as stupid as Lin Mao, he said nothing and just fought with it.
As the target became smaller, it was harder to land a hit. But, there was another feature of [Passion] that the weapon revealed to him.
It could follow a target with a certain mark that Ynoir had to put. While fighting with the bigger Beserk Flame Iguana. Ynoir had planted the mark in the body. He activated this feature, praying that it would work. He was a little worried that it would disappear after Beserk Flame Iguana changed forms.
But it actually worked!
Now, it seemed as if there were no difference between the Beastly Form and the Humanoid Form as both Forms were...being...beaten up so easily...

Revelation Gui Period :
Gui meant Go Away, Get Lost and such. Inspired by how many people usually went home at this time...so yes...
Why I chose Gui (go away) instead or Hui (Go Back) is because Go Away sounds much better than Hui.
