Chapter 4: Contracts

"Why were you talking to him?" he said bringing his face very close to mine.

I could tell now. He was not drunk.

"What do you mean? I can't talk to my friends. That doesn't make sense. We're not married." I said frowning with a taunting tone.

"Guess I'll make you mine then."

He pulled my hands above my head so I could not move. And immediately after he kissed me.

I resisted quite a lot. My arms threaded above me and I tired to move my legs but he was siting on them. He was so much stronger but I kept trying. Then he stopped. And I breathed a loud sigh of relief.

"I won't do this without some type of consent but there will be problems if you don't oblige. So choose, right now."

"I don't want you." I said quickly not thinking about anything other than trying to get him away from me.

He moved off of me and as I was rushing to leave he grabbed my wrist and said in a ice cold tone.

"Don't regret your decision later."

From his voice I could tell he had a smirk on his face. I quickly pulled my wrist away from him and ran out of the house.

The next day I quickly arrived to the office at around 8:39. My heart felt like it could beat out of its chest I wasn't sure what was going to happen today. I was scared of what he meant by "don't regret your decision later."

His words were still in my head. He was so powerful there was so much harm he could do. He could fire me and then I wouldn't be able to pay for where I live and I'll be homeless. He could blacklist me and I wouldn't be able to work at other companies. This man was so powerful. He was the most respected and the richest man in all of china. I could not compete with someone of his standing.

I went up the elevator to the top floor and of course he wasn't there. I went down one floor to look for some food since I hadn't eaten. I found a donut that I ate rather quickly. Then I heard my name being called.

"Oh Haley!"

I turned around and saw a cheerful Li Qiang. I smiled to him.

"Hey you didn't answer your phone last night did you get home okay?"

I shivered recalling the events of last night. I didn't check my phone since I was in such a daze on the bus.

"Oh. Yeah I did I was just so tired I didn't check my phone."

"It's okay i'm just glad you got home safe." he said while pinching my cheek. "I have to get going see you later Haley have a good day!"

He quickly hurried off. And I went back upstairs to where the devil himself would soon arrive.

The CEO arrived at 9:00 again punctual as always and I got up and bowed to him then went to tell him his schedule for today.

"Sir today you hav-"

"Cancel all my things and meetings except for the ones I want personally."

"Of course sir, what do you want me to put on there?"

"Signing contracts and move in. Any time will work for those."

"Yes sir."

I went to my seat to cancel all of the meetings that were scheduled for the day. Me and him were working on paper work and other things for a few hours until he suddenly spoke up breaking the silence.

"Haley come here."

I got up and went to his desk with nerves. Everything had went good today so far he wasn't going to exact his revenge now. Right?

"Sign these contracts about your position as my assistant." he said smiling which I thought was extremely weird.

"Of course." I didn't question it as I heard about this contract before. But there was only one they talked about. That's weird. There were two contract here. But I didn't second guess it and signed both on all of the lines.

"Here you go sir."

"Thank you Wifey." he said with a satisfied smirk on his face.

"Can you not call me that sir it's inappropriate." I said kind of shocked at what he said but I kept my composure.

"Why? That is what you are to me now, you know? You should really read contracts before you sign them baby."

I grabbed the contract in front of me and read over what it said. It was a marriage certificate. I felt my heart sink. I surprisingly didn't hate the man in front of me but that didn't mean I liked him either. And it definitely didn't mean I wanted to marry him.

"This was easy all I had to do was get you to sign since I have all your other information." he said while standing up and leaning over his table toward me. "I once told you I could be very mean didn't I? Sorry I showed you this side of me wifey." he slightly pecked my lips and I was left shocked.

He. Actually. Did. Something. Like. This?
