Chapter 30: Hurt
Emily's POV
After 15 minutes of breaking down, I looked out the big glass window next to me and the sun has settled, it's already 6:45 P.M. I wiped my tears and immediately stood up rushing out of the aisle I was hiding in. I didn't look back nor made eye contact with anybody in the store.
As I stepped out of the grocery store, I heard a familiar voice calling out my name, I didn't have to check who it was, I already knew. It was Franco, hearing his voice made me run to my car in an instant, I entered the car and backed it up immediately before he gets his hands on me. He almost did, but I managed to drift away from him.
I could feel my heart beating so fast and my soul leaving my body. I did not want him to see my vulnerability, my weak self. I did not want him to know that I still cared.
I do not want to make a fool out of myself. I have been doing that ever since I fell in love with him and I feel bad for myself cause I'm here still making efforts for a guy who never saw me, sure he completely sees me with his eyes, but his heart doesn't, it never did.
When will I ever accept the fact that he will never love me back the way I love him?
I am honestly pained and tired, but I cannot forget him and everything that we've done.
He's such a memorable person to the point that he's engraved in my mind and heart.
He's the guy that everyone falls for and will remain in love with him, no matter how the pain affects you.
He's my favorite person in the whole entire universe.
The person I wanna have a chance with. The person I'm willing to risk for. The person I'll cherish in my arms for a lifetime.
Other people ask me why he is my favorite person when he has hurt me a lot of times. I can't even count how many times my heart has broke over him.
To answer that question..
He's my favorite person, therefore, he is also my favorite pain.
