Chapter 2: Egret high school
Ariana (POV)
We parked our bicycles and both of us headed towards the hall to keep our books in the locker. After that, we headed to our respective class. Our class has five rows with ten columns, the clock was hanged above black board on the wall. When I entered the class my other best friend Lisa pent greeted me with a big smile on her face.
"Hi! Aari, what's up?" She asked me excitedly. She has blonde hair which reached till her shoulders and she had black eyes while I have brown eyes.
"Hi!! Lisa, I'm fine" I replied with a smile on my own. We are best friends since 9 grade and she is quite good in studies. We became good friends when we had same assignment in which we both were partners, she never argued with me about my ideas and we helped each other so, that's how we become best friend. She broke my thought by saying
"see your enemy is looking at you like she is gonna eat you" after saying that she started laughing.
"Well she is not my enemy" I whispered only for her to hear.
The enemy Lisa was talking about was our monitor 'scarlet smith', she was monitoring our class since grade one and I hate her but we are not enemy. I just hate her because she always see me like I am fool and can't achieve anything but let me tell you one thing if she is talented in her studies then I am good at painting and in gym. Except her all are good to me in my class they always support me and they are all my friend even her brother Ace Smith is good to me. He always talk politely. Well, Ace Smith and Scarlett Smith are cousins so, they are of same age and in same class. But I don't know why Scarlett doesn't have any friend, but there are some people who wanted to become her friend but she always reject them. But I don't care and if she would be nice to me then I would have asked her and helped her.
My thoughts were broken when our new teacher entered the class with the same boy whom I saw this morning.
"Good morning everyone, I am your class teacher 'Ms. Patterson' and I will be your physics teacher" I don't think she is strict because she said that very politely
"Let me introduce you to your new classmate 'Jonah wright' he was very good student in his previous school" she introduced us to him.
"Mr. Wright, do you want to introduce yourself?" Ms. Patterson asked Jonah and he nodded his head saying "yes."
"Myself Jonah Wright, I like to become classmate of y'all and also we will work hard together and I can help you guys if you don't follow any concept because I like to help my classmates and finally I want to become monitor of this class cause in previous school I was monitor since kindergarten, that's all thank you" he said in a serious look.
"But, Ms. Patterson I am monitor of this class how can he become class monitor" Scarlett said in an angry tone
"Ok then, since there are two students who wants to become class monitor then we will select student by vote. The candidate who get higher vote will become class monitor and the voting will be held tomorrow in my class and you both can take your seats now" Ms. Patterson said to both of them.
"psst" Rain tried to have my attention by making such sounds
"What do you want?" I whispered so that Ms Patterson couldn't hear me.
"You should have also take part in monitor elections so that we could have some free hours because Scarlett always makes us study in free hours." He whispered back.
"Are you serious? I don't want to become monitor, ok!" I replied to him
"Fine, as you wish" he said
"Ok, now stop talking and let's the class begin" Ms. Patterson said gaining all our attention. She began writing on the board that says "Nuclear Reactor"
I don't want to concentrate in the class because it was hard chapter for me so, I kept looking in the class and saw Rain who was also not concentrating but writing lyrics and Ms. Patterson is not saying anything to any students who were not listening because there were so many who didn't bother to listen. In front of me Joseph and Corbyn who were twins were playing video games and when Ms. Patterson was writing on the board two students were flying paper rocket. I saw in my right side and I saw Jonah who was fully concentrated in the class then I saw Scarlett even she was too concentrating then I laid my head on the desk.
"Get up Ms. Gonzales!!" someone yelled my name and I immediately got up and I don't know when I fell asleep.
"Sorry, Ms. Patterson I won't sleep again in the class" I said her while pleading.
"Since you were sleeping I must ask you easy question, where do you use nuclear reactor?" she asked me, she said it was easy question but I didn't concentrated even a single word of her explanation so I didn't knew and kept my head down in embarrassment.
"You are silent that means you didn't concentrated anything what I have explained and now you have to write fifty time 'Nuclear Reactor' as a punishment and make sure tomorrow you will listen to my class because I will double your punishment tomorrow as a hundred time" she said me in an anger tone.
"From tomorrow everyone is going to listen to my class or else everyone will get the same punishment again and also you all have to submit your assignment by tomorrow in my class as I come you all should handle your assignment." she said sharply. Well, I thought she would be polite but she gave me fifty times to write and how on Earth I'm going to write it all and it is not even a full day to complete it. After split of seconds Mr. Morales entered to the class and he is our English teacher and in this class I decided to listen because I don't want another assignment
After two more class we had lunch and I felt so good after having those horrible class and now Rain, Lisa and I were going to canteen together and sat in our regular place
"Rain, don't forget that you lost in the game last week and now you have to eat my lunch box" I reminding him with a grin plastered on my face making him groan.
"Oh please I won't eat your lunch box it contains broccoli, carrot, peas and I don't like to eat vegetables ok! And I going to eat my burger and you should eat your lunch box as well" he is not going to get away from this.
"Are you sure you don't want to eat? Because I will show every photo of yours which I have in my room" I whispered to him so that Lisa would not hear.
"If I eat yours then what you are going to eat?" he asked me.
"I will eat my favorite spaghetti from canteen, you idiot!" I replied making him narrow his eyes.
"Yeah-yeah" he replied.
After bringing my spaghetti from the counter I sat on the chair and started to eat when someone came behind and stood there. I turned around to see the person and it was Jonah wright.
"Hey! Can I sit here, if you guys don't mind?" he asked.
"Yes you can" Rain said while I was thinking why he wants to sit here it's not because he shouldn't sit but he saw that we were careless in our studies so, he could have gone with some other nerds, he sat beside me because it was the only empty seat.
After having lunch we started to move to another class and I just hope I should not get any more punishment like physics itself, it is too much. We had gym class now and I know I will not get any punishment here so, I happily went to the gym class.
The gym was good as I thought and I got first two chance in dough ball and it was really fun but I also lost twice because of Rhea well no objection but she is a good player in every sports so, I lost from her but never mind.
After having such a long day our school was over for today and we started to head to our houses with our bicycles and then I saw Jonah who was coming towards our side.
"If you guys want ride in my car you all can come I will drop you all" he asked us.
"No, not today we have our bicycles and we always have fun in bicycles than car but maybe next time" Rain answered him making him nod. Then he moved to his car after saying ok and we were now heading to our home while Lisa asked us.
"Guys there's new movie can we go and watch" she asked us.
"Are you serious because I have assignment to do if you guys wants to go you can I don't mind" I replied her.
"Even I have to write my assignment so even I can't come but we can go next time" Rain told her.
"Ok, fine we will go next time" she said
After reaching home I saw Jonah in my house who was wearing blue jeans with yellow t-shirt and then dad came towards me and he started to introduce me to him but I said immediately "I know him dad" I told him while looking at Jonah with raised brow.
"What...you know him, how? He asked looking between us with confusion.
"Well he is my classmate" I replied him.
"Oh, I have to tell you that his parents came to our house and requested to have dinner with Jonah as his parents are busy in their business."
"I don't mind, dad" I reply making him smile.
"Come let's have dinner then, I made your favorite salad."
"Dad, it's not my favorite" I reminded him making him roll his eyes.
"Ok, fine but today I have made this, so you have to eat it" he said with a stern voice which meant no further discussion.
"Mr. Gonzales she always give her lunch box to Rain" Jonah is going to get me kill by my dad and I am going to kill him when I get my hands on him.
"What? She never eat my lunch, how is that possible"? He almost yelled with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Dad, don't get angry at me, from next time I won't share my lunch box with anyone" I assured him.
"It's not call sharing because you give your full lunch box and eat spaghetti" this time it was Jonah who spoke making me want to kick him out of the house, I swear he is asking to be killed today. I saw my dad in complete shock and buried my face with my hand and then finally spoke.
"From tomorrow I will give your favorite lunch" he said to my surprise.
"Dad, Are you serious?" I looked up in shock at what my father said.
"Yeah, Now finished your salad for today" he said making me grin like a fool.
"Sure Dad" I replied with chirpy voice making him roll his eyes but I can see a hint of smile on his face.
After that, the whole dinner was in silence and with me glaring at Jonah for spilling my gut to my Dad. After having dinner, I immediately got up and went to my room to complete my assignments
After writing 46 times my hand we're not listening to me to write more and when I saw my handwriting it gets worse than worse but I had to complete my assignment so, I started again. At 4:00 am I completed my assignment and felt asleep.
